We're just coming to the end of a 2 week stay at Utopia Blu, so thought I'd add my thoughts, which pretty much reflect most of the other reviews I've seen. If you can't be bothered reading all of this, it's a solid 4 out of 5 from us. If you are reading the rest, here goes.... Firstly, the complex is stunning. It's so pretty, really well maintained, spotlessly clean, and very established, despite only being 3 years old. There are about 700 different pools, there's never any real issue in finding a sunbed, and because of the way the hotel is designed, you're literally never more than a 1 minute walk from a bar. Which is very important if you want to rehydrate with pina coladas throughout day. The main pool is quite hectic, with lots of activities and quite a loud (and repetitive) playlist (if I hear Guantanamera again I will rip my own head off), but all the other pools are much more relaxing. We don't really get involved with the entertainment so can't comment on the overall quality, but a couple of the singers were belting out Tom Jones hits very impressively one evening. We had a suite with pool, number 1006, and I emailed the hotel beforehand to request a sunny room, because I was a bit fearful of paying a huge amount of money for a room that was in the shade all day. The hotel duly obliged, and we've got a room that's in the sun until around 2pm, at which point we decamp to one of the swim-up pool areas. Some of the private pool rooms are definitely in the shade for most of the day though, so consider yourself warned, and definitely request a sunny room in advance. I think that 1010-1013 pool rooms are probably in the best postion sun-wise. A lot of the swim-up rooms definitely have more sun throughout the day, and from what I can see, they all have nice wooden sunbeds (and not the beanbags that we've got). Our room is long and wide, and probably one of the biggest we've ever had. The suites with pools do seem to vary in size though. Our terrace is only small, and not big enough to accommodate sunbeds, so we have 2 big beanbags, which is fine as they're very comfortable, although there are 3 of us, so we have to keep swapping or lie on the floor. Not ideal, but hey ho. Our pool is also a decent size, cleaned daily, a lovely temperature, and around 4m x 3m in size. It's also very private, with screens and shrubbery surrounding it on all sides. It makes such a difference and is one of the highlights of our holiday. Food has been pretty good and is nicely varied. It's your standard all inclusive fare. All of the desserts do seem to taste of banana though, regardless of what flavour they're supposed to be. There's a nice shady area to the rear of the main restaurant, flanked with established olive trees and pretty string lights, which is a nice place for your evening meal if you prefer eating outside. There were never any queues, although we usually went a bit later, around 8pm. The choice of drinks with dinner is a bit restricted, but if

We loved this hotel! What a wonderful hotel in Kos, we really enjoyed our stay. This hotel is for everyone, for those who like tranquility, or for those who like to sing and dance music enjoying a drink and of course also for small and big children. The entertainers are the best and the staff is always very friendly. A pacious room and very comfortable bed. Thanks to the whole team for offering us this beautiful experience!

Utopia Blu has honestly been the best holiday that we have been on. As a 19+20YO couple this was truly magical! When we arrived here we were greeted with complimentary drinks and it was only a short wait until we got a golf buggy to our room. The rooms are very spacious, clean and modern. I would highly recommend the swim up room in the adults only section as you are guaranteed your own personal sun-bed everyday. The food here is the best all inclusive buffet we have ever had with lots of variety at breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food is so fresh and cooked right in front of you and the cocktails are top notch! There are 2 additional restaurants situated on site, an Italian and a Mediterranean which are both included in all inclusive along with the main buffet. The Italian was amazing, you got 4 different courses along with complimentary Prosecco and a lemon shot! We stayed here for a birthday and on the day the waiter delivered cake directly to the room while singing happy birthday. The spa is also amazing so definitely worth the extra penny! Staff are always on the ball and will never let you go without a drink. They are all very kind and genuinely care for all of your needs and aim to make your stay the best it can be. The hotel has a variety of entertainment on each night from live singing to who wants to be a millionaire, prizes are available. Entertainment cannot be heard from the adults only section so if you want to head to bed early you won’t be disturbed. However I would say this hotel would be more suited for a couple seeking a relaxing stay as it is very quiet and about a 30min bus to Kos town for less than €3 which was fantastic. It is situated in the heart of the mountains with a short bus to their private beach. There is a large supermarket directly across the road from the resort which sells quite literally everything you need. We will definitely be back here, it was amazing!!!

We came for our honeymoon, first off the hotel is lovely, clean, beautiful hotel. The 2 restaurants on site are the show stopper the food is amazing 5 courses some food we wouldn't normally try but was lovely! Spa is 10/10 main restaurant is OK, breakfast and lunch were our favourite, we are fussy so Monday was fish night not good for us. We did eat out at asian wok 5 mins walk towards beach which was nice. And went to zia which the hotel arranged a taxi for us. Entertainment is good different every night. Staff are lovely but slow service at peak times. Amr was the best server by far! Supermarket is literally outside which is great, beach is 10 mins walk with lots of shops on the way down and restaurants. Great holiday all round. We have kids so wouldn't come as a family as I think my kids would be bored but as 2 adults it was a lovely break! Recommend highly

Excellent hotel and resort. From the minute we arrived we were pleasantly surprised at the high standard of the hotel and room. We had a swim up room with our own terrace right beside the pool. The room was very clean and everything worked. I basically couldn't find any faults. The grounds were beautiful and the swimming pools immaculate. Pool temperature was perfect for me as I'm a competent swimmer. But for a non swimmer it would be a little cool in early May. (Perhaps having just one of the many great pools heated for the colder months would be perfect). As part of an all inclusive package the restaurants and food options were great. Staff were very helpful and friendly. We had lovely breakfast, lunch and dinners (food could be slightly hotter at times). Our only issue was one of the dedicated (booked restaurants) Mediterranean a la carte restaurant. It took 2.5 hours to finally get the main course and it just wasn't a good experience (had to go to normal main restaurant to eat as we were that hungry). The other booked a la carte restaurant we went to was the Italian restaurant and it was fabulous. Overall it was a great pleasure staying there. One of the best hotels on Kos. Definitely worth a stay. Well done Utopia Blue!

This hotel was fabulous! From the start. Staff went above and and beyond to make the stay perfect. Everyone around was so pleasant and cheerful which made the experience. The cleaners ensured the room were immaculate every single day! The room was so calming and even better than the pictures! The hotel was absolutely stunning, so much to do. Certain areas were for adults and others for children so it accommodated everyone there. Only slight issue was there wasn’t enough variety of food however the food that was available was tasty. The views around this hotel were picture perfect and location is absolutely perfect, plenty of restaurants and bars. I can’t wait to go back!

The hotel layout is outstanding. The hotel staff are friendly and respectful. The food was excellent even though the lunchtime snack area can be a bit ‘busy’. The pools are spotlessly clean and the weather was incredible !!! ☀️. Thanks to the entertainment team, who were outstanding !! Our personal favourite was India but they were all great and were very professional

An absolute dream of a week away. Travelling as 22 year old couple we had the best time!! From the room to the huge selection of pools and amazing bars and restaurants this hotel is top tier. But what made it for us is the fantastic entertainment team!! They were brilliant all week, the evening shows were super especially the Michael Jackson show and in the daytime we took part in aqua gym every day and pool quizzes which were good fun. A huge special shoutout to India from the entertainment team- she was fabulous all week and as a fellow welshie we made great friends! She couldn’t do enough for us and is a real star asset to utopia blu and their entertainment team, such a hard worker!!! Having a team like them is what makes you want to return to the hotel for another week of fun! A big 10/10 ⭐️

My husband and two boys visited the hotel this summer. We had a lovely time. The hotel was breathtaking when we arrived, the buildings are so nice and the cleanliness is five star. We arrived very late at night due to our flight being delayed which was a shame and there wasn’t much food left but we were given some sandwiches. The rooms are so so good and so modern. The cleaner was superb and left us bottles of water daily. The pool areas were so good as there was a kids area out the way with slides and a fab pancake and crepe house which was part of the all inclusive. By the slides though it’s very slippy! The ice creams were extra. My boys enjoyed the slides a lot! There was the main pool for the more lively people with the entertainment going on- but my boys did like it around there! Then there was the other area that was much quieter and serene and had three beautiful pools with the comfiest sun loungers- however after around 10am they’d all gone around that area. There was a bar area here which was lovely. Service was very good with the staff, especially liked Paris the manager and the lady in charge of customer service (the two Maria’s I think!). We went to the Italian restaurant once which was really nice and lots of food!! The setting is stunning and the staff in there were Exceptional. The food overall was fine, however the dinners in the evening I did struggle on what to have at times so we went out for food once down the road. The breakfasts were nice and the lunches were pretty good. I always had a freshly made omelette for breakfast!- the man was so friendly! The drinks were a little disappointing as a lot of them were watered down. The Baileys dupe was nice though! The entertainment team were BRILL! They were so friendly and so dedicated to their job. The mini disco was my boys favourite! They also did the face painting which was good! There was a huge supermarket opposite the hotel which was so handy for any extra snacks/ souvenirs or inflatables. The beach was disappointing… the sea was choppy and quite dirty and the area the hotel had for us wasn’t very good. A lot of people were warning us not to go but we wanted to try it, but it wasn’t worth the trip. We walked there and got the free shuttle back. The pictures make it look nice but unfortunately we were disappointed. We were glad to get back to the hotel!! There were nice added things like the paddle court but we didn’t use that, and a nice shop on site. There was also a milkshake/ coffee/ fresh juice bar which is so good but you have to pay extra which isn’t cheap. There was an adults only area out the way but we didn’t go there. Overall a stunning hotel and a very enjoyable experience!

We were really disappointed with our experience at the Utopia Blu and wouldn’t return. Firstly, we were greeted by an incredibly rude man who literally jumped out of his sentry box on the gate and aggressively told my husband to move the car. We’d just arrived, didn’t know that the car park was down the road and wanted to unload and check in. We tried to explain, he saw me with walking aids, but rudely told me to move and told my husband to get the car moved. If I had come on a transfer bus, with a Rep, I’d have asked for a move to another hotel at that point. The receptionist was very apologetic and said we could have left the car there to unload, but first impressions count and we had a bad one. We booked a swim up room in the adults only area & emailed ahead asking if we could have a sunny spot in a quiet area as I have multiple illnesses that are exacerbated by noise and no sleep. We arrived to find we’d been given a room that had no sun after 2pm, and as was the design of the pool we couldn’t sit on the opposite side as it was one paving slab then a hedge. Not only that we were probably the closest swim up room to the entertainment. This is great if you like noise through the day and the evening, I don’t. It makes me unwell hence asking not to be put there, but that was ignored. I was just so grateful we hired a car so we could escape because otherwise I’d have gone mad. The cleanliness of the hotel leaves a lot to be desired. There was thick dust under our bed, and along the back of the dressing table. The toilet and bathroom wasn’t cleaned the whole time we were there, the floors weren’t mopped either. This is basics. Towels were changed every day, but they were thin and full of holes, the bedding is yellowing and ripped too. When I was sitting on my terrace, I watched the cleaners empty bottles of drink on to next door’s terrace rather than pour them down the sink, too. The food is not good. The only good meal we had was at the Mediterranean restaurant. The Italian restaurant was absolutely horrendous. We were seated in a corridor and forgotten about, I wish we’d walked out because the food was awful. The standards in the main restaurant are not that of a 4*+ hotel. It’s not acceptable for people to be drunkenly doing the Conga when people are eating their dinner. I got ill with a gastric illness, after not eating anywhere other than the hotel. It’s not surprising because there were flies on food in both the snack bar and the main restaurant, crockery and cutlery was dirty, and the tables were never sprayed with anything between customers. My husband did speak to the manager and was offered 2 drinks from the juice bar and an “extra” meal at the a la carte restaurant, which wasn’t an extra because we were entitled to 3 anyway. It was an absolute joke. We lost our booking in Zia, that we made months before, because I was unwell which was incredibly upsetting. When we booked our hol
