This guesthouse is beautiful. The rooms are large and comfortable.The staff are friendly and accomodating. The gardens are beautiful and tranquil. I would definitely recommend Monchique. The only problem we encountered was our toasted sandwiches we ordered for lunch took a long time but they were delicious!

Upon arrival, we were provided with efficient and friendly service. We asked for a quick meal which we ate in the comfort of the garden and patio area. Lovely, comfortable room with all the necessary amenities. We used the transport offered to get to our event and the driver was kind and helpful. Service at breakfast was excellent. Well done staff!

We went for the Christmas lunch, despite terrible weather (it rained continuously) everything went perfectly. The food was excellent and the staff did everything they could to make it a memorable experience. We had a great time and would definitely go again.

What a fantastic find...loved my stay here. The staff are fantastic but Sonia is a shining star and boy can she cook an excellent steak. I am actually looking forward to my next stay here.

No fridge in room to keep drinks cold. Cockroaches the size of crickets . Two single beds pushed together , very uncomfortable to sleep on. Restaurant , poorly cleaned cutlery , dirty coffee cups and dirty table cloths.

The room i occupied was infested with black ants in the window area which was quite horrible as the kids literally screamed of horror when they saw it. Also the bathroom was not entirely clean. The service received from Brian was awesome, he is good.

Great overnight stay. Conveniently placed close to a wedding we went to. Included a shuttle service to the venue. Clean, comfortable rooms. Nice breakfast. Vegetarian friendly. Staff very welcoming. Highly recommended.

I really had some great night but i 2 had problem When we arrive please make sure you check all payments b4 you give the room key or at deputure.rather than calling after i left to say i ddnt pay all the money i must make a u turn Secondly. At night ther was ppl talking loud out side and it distubed the sleeping which was something tha bothered me

PLEASE DO NOT PUBLISH. We were expecting much from this Guest House but were very disappointed. It was not a 4 star during our stay. We are guessing that management was absent. The staff were friendly, willing to help but lacked oversight. It was strange to be at guest house while a funeral service with he**** and wake was being held on the property.
