We did the check-in at the hotel, we were really disappointed about the bedroom and was very broke and the warm excrement smell was unbearable… We’ve book it with the Spa, swimming pool and sauna, the receptionist told us that it was open and gave us towels but everything was switch off. I asked his manager but he said that he switch it on just during the weekend. The place is very depressing, we felt so uncomfortable that we decided to leave at 16:30 and don’t sleep there.
It’s not honest to sell a service at this price and don’t provide it.

Nice hotel. Good feel. Very good buffet. Negatives: received the keys 30 min after check in. It smelled chlorine from the cleaning. The air ventilation in the room was not good. And the pool was very cold.

Environment is beautiful. Location is disappointing. Very noisy. Breakfast moderate. Location/room outdated. Bike rental: there is no service, the bicycles do not contain bottle cages.

Dårlig og uorganisert service. Bestilt og betalt mat ble ikke levert. Måtte mase. Gikk tom for 2av 3 ølsorter. Mat var dyr. 230 for hamburger og 475 for buffet. Blir nok siste besøket for vår del.

Had a peaceful and relaxing stay on this comfortable hotel with my wife and some friends. A great bed, calm environment, nice staff and a great breakfast (I ate too much ). Think that this hotel deserves 4 stars and not only 3. Enjoy your stay. I'll be back 😊

The check in must wait till 1600 & the bed & pillow was a bit dirty and its extremely hot. The view from the room was great overlooking the sea. The hotel deco was nice & cozy.

We were on a honeymoon in beautiful Telemark and chose to stay at this hotel because of the good reviews, but unfortunately we can't agree!
Because we had a dog with us, we had to pay an extra NOK 300 in cleaning fees and had to use a separate entrance at the back of the hotel. Our room was at the far end and there were clear marks on the door frame as the lock had been broken on a previous occasion. Not exactly a pleasant welcome to the room.
Old furnishings (radio mounted in the bedside table?!) and a TV that belongs to the pre-war era. Only NRK. The bathroom was by 2000s standards. For dinner we checked the menu on the terrace - NOK 300 for a burger and NOK 120 for a beer!!
Breakfast was served between 8:30-10 on Sunday and when we came to eat at 9, there was no coffee, juice, eggs and bacon.
Otherwise, check-in was after 4pm and we had to check out by 11am. Absolutely incredible to spend so much money on an overnight stay when the room was only for use for 19 hours and 1.5 hours to eat breakfast during the holiday on a Sunday. All in all a disappointing experience. I understand that the hotel wants to preserve the old style, but it's a nice balance between dated and classic.
