To my way of thinking, any kind of interior repairs are typically done BEFORE renting out a flat, NOT while the guest is occupying the flat. To my way of thinking, as well, if prepaid rented accommodation becomes unliveable, then it’s up to the host to provide alternative accommodation. No such thinking occurs at the Francis Apar**ents. Unwanted experiences between my arrival and my hasty premature departure: A guy arrived to replace the thermostat. A guy arrived to replace the front door lock. A guy arrived to measure balcony doors (on warped rails) in both living room and in bedroom. A 24-hour power outage in my flat, only. A guy arrived to ‘investigate’ the power outage the next day. A guy arrived to restore the electricity. A guy arrived to replace the boiler. External renovations: incessant drilling, sawing and hammering. Reeking ceiling leakage across the ground-level floor (entrance level) of the building. Unlit stairwells covered with grit and plaster fragments. Noisy female neighbours and the even noisier arrival of their various ‘gentlemen friends’ every 1/2 hour 24/7, combined with deafening ‘music’ and ear-splitting fights. Leaking bathroom ceiling, with water spreading towards bedroom. Unavailability of owners/managers - or anyone else - to address the leakage; general indifference and overall apathy. Even though rent prepaid, no alternative accommodation provided and no assistance offered whatsoever. Late afternoon, had to get out and look for another place immediately. I’ve already deleted my 2018 TA review for Francis Apar**ents because THOSE Francis Apar**ents no longer exist. This place gives the term ‘a dump’ a whole new meaning. See attached photos. TA has no facility for audio uploads or else I’d upload the ‘sound experiences’, as well.
