What a lovely place to stay! Lori greeted us warmly and showed us to our very spacious, beautifully appointed room. This traditional French house has been sympathetically restored and furnished and is a very relaxing place to stay. Our bed was very comfortable (so important!) and there was a large walk-in shower. Lori had been kind enough to upgrade us to this room following a problem with my foot, and it was much appreciated. The common areas in and outside the house are characterful with lots of brightly coloured cushions and interesting objects. There's a small heated pool with cosy seating areas around it, and I think a guest lounge too for cooler days. There's a handy tea and coffee station shared by the guest rooms with teapots and trays, so you can enjoy your cuppa in the privacy of your room. Private parking is provided, and the charming village of Le Lude is a few steps away with a choice of eateries, shops, etc Breakfast is wonderful and includes, unusually for France, a choice of cooked eggs. Home-made breads and jams and fresh fruit make this a hearty start to the day. We'll certainly return when we can!
