Verride Palácio Santa Catarina

A true palace, where you are made to feel like the Lord or Lady of the Manor. Service, food, accommodations, location... all extraordinary! We celebrated our 20th anniversary here and enjoyed this boutique hotel more than any other. We will be back.

Our family elderly were at the hotel entrance stair suffering with a heat wave. The doorman of hotel Verride was so kind that he not only called us a taxi but gave a bottle of water to grandma - we were not even guests ! He looked a bit like Bob Marley and had a big heart ❤️ a sign of excellence service culture Congratulations 🎉

Rarely does a hotel meet all of your needs. Staying at Verride Palacio for the past 6 days was one of the best experiences I have ever had. The location is perfect, hotel is immaculate and the staff is AMAZING! I've stayed in many 5 star hotels all over the world and this one is definitely at the top. From an absolutely delicious breakfast every morning with great service, the different selection of cake and cookies every day, fabulous restaurant and amazing rooftop terrace for cocktails at sunset while enjoying gorgeous views - everything was perfect. Every single staff member was super attentive and helpful with anything I needed. They went above and beyond giving me directions each day, and suggested great sites to see, restaurants, and shops, through out my stay. I can't thank them enough for making my visit to Lisbon so special and absolutely wonderful!!!

We absolutely loved this hotel! It is extremely well done , in a great location w a wonderful staff. The “ custom ordered “ breakfast was like having a private chef cook for us each day. Our room was well appointed. ( loved the Aesop products! ). We used the services of the concierge for a driver for tours and dinner reservations. All were great. We ended each night with a cocktail at their roof bar. I can’t recommend this hotel enough !

Probably the best decision you could make a visiting Lisbon would be to stay here. Really nice location and amazing staff. Thank you Paulo, Jeorge,Liuz and the rest of the staff there, they really make the place perfect.

Amazing hotel with incredibly attentive staff, and a beautiful view from the rooftop bar. Highly recommend, would stay again. Jorge add to the rest of the front desk staff helped us in so many ways.

We are so glad we chose to stay here - everything was wonderful and we felt well taken care of. The hotel is beautiful and centrally located - we were able to walk to many attractions and the neighborhood was fun to explore. The staff's attention to detail and pride in the hotel was evident - from reception, to the restaurant to housekeeping - everyone was friendly and professional. We felt taken care of and welcomed by everyone we encountered. Just after booking, we read some negative reviews about the Bica rooms that made us nervous enough to wonder if we should upgrade. After seeing our room in person (Bica 7), we felt much better, and by the end of our stay, we knew we would be happy to stay in that room again. The Bica rooms are not 'in the basement' as some other reviews have stated. While they are on floors below main reception, keep in mind that the hotel is on a steep hill and these rooms look out over the downward slope. Our floor to ceiling windows were still above street level, and we were afforded a beautiful view of the pedestrianized old town streets below. Yes, there are some buildings across the streets with windows that face the hotel, but we never felt a lack of privacy - for one, the room had sun shade blinds on all windows that diffused the bright Portuguese sunlight, but they also provided privacy from anyone who might happen to look into our room from the windows across the street (they didn't). It is something anyone who has lived in a city would be familiar and comfortable with. We heard street noise only when the garbage was being collected, and the windows provided enough soundproofing to ensure that noise was very light and brief. Our room was very spacious, and even with the sun shades down, there was plenty of natural light and it felt airy and gracious. The AC kept the room comfortable, and we were happy to spend the hottest hours of each day relaxing in the room. The bed was huge (and one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've slept in). The bathroom is small, but beautifully designed. The shower water pressure was glorious and we appreciated the Aesop toiletries. The hotel was currently doing renovations on our floor, but you would never know it. There were a few discreet renovation notices on doors and we saw some workmen during the day, but the sound was well insulated behind multiple doors and we were never disturbed. The privacy was actually remarkable - even though the hotel was fully booked during our stay, it was never noisy and we never felt crowded. We saw other guests occasionally, but it never felt like we were competing for space in the common areas or for the staff's attention. We enjoyed lunch and cocktails at the rooftop bar every day (I do not drink and appreciated the no-alcohol cocktail options), and our visit to Suba on the last night was nothing short of exceptional. The staff is incredible. The architecture and design is incredible. The location is amazing. This was our third stay and I couldn’t love it more.
