Hotel located in the center but away from noise. Comfortable and clean room.

Hotel and room overall were surprisingly nice. I was warned at check-in that the sink was plugged and draining slowly (appreciate the staff’s honesty), but I wish this had been repaired prior to my arrival.

Nice property in a convenient location just off the Gran Via. Room compact but well thought out. No view. Bathroom spacious and very modern.

We stayed for 3 nights in Room 206. Our first impression was that the neighbourhood was very dirty (large bins overflowing with garbage on the tiny streets, very stinky (we held our breath and pinched our noses). The entry to The Walt was not welcoming - steep stairs right off the street with NO ramp, old fashioned velvet drapes makes it fussy to enter. Small reception area which is sunk in at the bottom of the stairs - this was awkward and not very welcoming. We were checked in by Anna with a smile on her face and she was efficient & professional. The elevator was small so we had to make multiple trips to get our luggage up to our room. The bathroom was neat and clean but the sink area was lacking counter space for toiletries. The shower was great and the water pressure was excellent. There was a lack of grab bars for safety in the shower area. There was no exhaust fan in the bathroom - the bathroom got really hot and humid after a shower. The fridge was far too tiny, we could barely store our essentials like bottled water, orange juice, milk, cold beverages - please increase the size of fridge. There was an electric kettle and two cups/saucers - but no cutlery. The cups were very small by our North American standards - would be nice to have a decent sized mug. We were happy to have an in-room safe and a large closet to comfortably fit our clothes & tuck away our suitcases. The air conditioning was good, & the free wi-fi was fast and strong. The Walt was perfect for our stay! We LOVED the location-so close to Gran Via as well as the Malasana and Chueca areas. The staff were great and we appreciated the security measures at night time. Our room was comfortable, clean, and air-conditioned. We were also able to store our luggage at the hotel when we arrived before check-in.

It is in a great location in the center of town. We enjoyed the breakfast. We heard some noises from the street for 20 minutes during the evening.

Love the location - it is close and walkable, but not in the crazy busy area, so quiet and chill. Short stay, but looked like some cool shops, bars, and restaurants in this hip neighborhood. Staff and rooms were awesome.

The hotel is not worth the price compared to other places in Madrid. The room smells to sewer which is common in Madrid but in cheaper hotels. They close the door at 11 pm which is weird for a centric hotel. We had to ring the bell after 11 pm because let’s be real, who is back at the hotel before 11 pm in Madrid?

Very close to the mayhem of Gran Via but just out of the way enough that it was quiet. The staff were nice.

Excellent stay. Very basic hotel with small rooms but great location.

Room seemed very nice on arrival. King size bed made up with two beds pushed together. Power was turned on by placing key to door in a little plastic holder at the door entrance. They did not tell me this when I checked in. AC unit didn’t seem to be able to keep the space cool, comforter was very thick which made it hard to sleep. Bed was also pretty hard but seems common theme through all the places I stayed in Spain. Pillows very long and uncomfortable. Hotel was located in an excellent location though. Metro station and bus station very close by. Close to lots of shopping and within walking distance of Plaza Mayor, the Royal Palace and Chocolatería San Ginés.

It was quiet to sleep, located right in downtown Madrid. Room was clean, and perfect.
