I Have got amazing suite , thanks to the receptionist who check me in Reception team always smiling Animation team only interact with the European resident and never say Hi to me Life safe guard not very professional, flirting in the beach Main restaurant friendly staff

dirty hotel, damp and musty. the staff also scooped up the food at dinner time and wrapped it in cellophane. you will not be able to get a towel and you will have to wait 30-45 minutes for towels. there is no beach bar and the beach closes at 6 o'clock and you can't get to the beach after that. I do not recommend.

Hotel is very good the Rooms are large and spotlessly clean, as is the rest of the building The beach is beautiful and the sea is amazingly clear The pool is probably the biggest I have ever had the pleasure to swim in my favourite part of the holiday Being a solo traveler I usually find the entertainment annoying however bobo was a pleasure to watch such enthusiasm and hardworking he clearly takes his job seriously The food was extremely good with many different choices, All in all a lovely holiday My only grievance why can’t the British go all inclusive?? A word to the wise if you are British and have children you will struggle to find anything for lunch suitable for them For the life of me i struggle to understand why anyone would write a negative review of this hotel

Interesting food(seafood, rice for more way, great chicken with different spices, fresh food exactly during dinner- burger, omelets, pancakes), great services. Hotel is old but excelent fun here and safety! Shako is the best animation person, dancer, footballer and singer. He has always smile SND help to everyone. Kids love him. Team animation (Shako, Siso, Bobo, Alex and girl who paiting on face) Was amanzing. Bobo had great zumba and aerobic with always positive mood and perfect moving. We love atmosfere here, during all day, mainly evening kids disco, amazing and continue fun for adults as well. Their t-shirt Was every day different colour and you can them everywhere. I felt positive vibes from them Dance and smile everywhere!!! Service - waiters and cleaning was greater as well.

I would like to say that the hotel is truly special. We received a recommendation for it from a tour guide who had worked in Tunisia for years. The interior evokes romantic nostalgic emotions. It is very well maintained and does not look like a bunch of new identical modern hotels, which makes it even more special. Special commendations for the music evenings at the American bar and special praise for the professionalism and kindness of Salim, who manages to attend to every guest and situation, making everyone feel genuinely comfortable despite the crowd. Of course, there is also the animator Bobo, who is the soul of the hotel. During our stay, Bobo had one day off, and his absence was felt. The hotel seemed to lose its shine for a moment. The food is varied, catering to all tastes, from Tunisian traditional cuisine to sushi. It is also suitable for vegetarians. Also, greetings to the restaurant and beach bar staff. The hotel is truly wonderful, but what makes it exceptional is the staff. Thank you so much for the smiles and conversations that brought us closer to the beauty of Tunisia and its people.

Our family vacation was almost perfect, unfortunately I have something very negative to say as well. The only thing that ruined the great atmosphere was an older bald man with glasses who came to the young lady working at the hotel as a guest relation and started yelling at her like crazy. I didn’t talk to her as I had nothing to solve with her, but she was nice towards everyone, asked if everything’s alright… Seeing this man being so mean to her was not just uncomfortable, it was painful, because I saw the poor woman leaving her desk crying. My kids were asking me what’s going on and now they’re afraid to come back next year because of the "evil guy", thinking he’ll yell at them the next time we visit. Aside from this situation, everything was perfect. A lot of food to choose from, clean rooms, polite and friendly staff, great animation team, really I had nothing to complain about. But this particular situation ruined the positive vibe. We’re not used to men yelling at women and the hotel director should definitely do something about it. I wouldn’t employ someone who disrespects colleagues, especially women, like this.

The hotel and services are perfect, the bar by the pools and the American bar in the hotel are great guys, helpful and smiling. The animator Ibrahim has a lot of energy with aqua aerobics, step aerobics, and the evening program, great guy and i will coming

Hotel it’s very good, the hotel has very interesting animation programs. There is alot food to pick from everyday. Infront of the hotel is a pretty beach. Good aqua gym with ibrahim. Sitting in the evening with music. Waiters are very willing and very dear.

Before I begin my review of the hotel I would like to warn people of the Security Scam regarding Tunisian money at the Airport. If you take any money through Airport security with the intention of Spending it at the airport Duty Free, think again as it will be confiscated before you reach this point. I exchanged my Money at the Airport Exchange depot and one in Mahdia. When they confiscate your money before reaching the Airport duty free, you are asked if you have a receipt for the money. If your receipt does not have your Passport number or Name on the Money exchange receipt (both of mine did not) they will not accept them, hence the loss of £120. Be Warned!!! Now regarding the Mahdia Palace, I cannot believe any Western European would give this Hotel a 5* review for the Following reasons: You are treated like 2nd class citizens in the Hotel, that is a Fact, they cater more for Eastern Europeans and These people are offered All Inclusive at the resort while you are not. The Receptionist actually lied to our Faces when we requested an upgrade to AI and stated that the Hotel does not offer such a facility which is just not True. Secondly, this is the First 5 Star hotel we have ever stayed in that does not offer Tea or Coffee making facilities (as well as the Tea or Coffee) in the room. Thirdly, the main food Bar near the Pool and Beach is Shut for food which vastly reduces your Food options. Another issue to be aware of is that disco type music is played extremely loudly around the Pool area for most of the Day which is not to everyone's taste. The Hotel itself is lovely and the Rooms are of a good standard. The food is on a self serve basis and most of the days had good a variety of Starters, Mains and Desserts. All food and Drink is reasonably priced. There are plenty of Sun loungers available and you can set up in the Garden areas away from the Pool if you prefer peace and quiet. I would not personally recommend this hotel, but it is by no means a bad Hotel just not to our liking.

The hotel is well cleaned and all the staff is well mannered. You cant get bored with the Shako animation team or with Ibrahim from Aquagym. The rooms and balconies are good and spacious. The chefs are cooking Something else everyday so You wont get bored of eating always the same thing.

The animation team is so fun and you can have a great time with the Shako team every night, the same is for the aquagym at the pool outside with Ibrahim. The food from the restaurant is good and you have plenty of options from where you can choose every night. The beach is always calm and well cleaned.

In Mahdia palace for the second time and we enjoyed again. Especially thank you for animation programm, funny aqua aerobic creations and we joined nearly all activities. Also very satisfied with service guys, especially in snack bar, and appreciate to add tonic in drink menu for combination with Gin :-)

Overall, the hotel is not bad, however, it could and definitely should upgrade their customer support and overall understanding of an all-inclusive service. When we first arrived, we were given a room full of black mold, that was simply covered (poorly) with white paint all over. Since we are extremely allergic to mold, I immediately could not breathe normally and experienced other symptoms. When we went to inform the reception, we were told that we could move rooms 2 days later, since the hotel is 'fully booked' but it would cost us 80 euros. This is absolutely ridiculous and we went to demand a different room, because it is not our fault that the room has mold in it. Since this time we were not nicely asking, but pretty much demanding to switch rooms, and, my guess is they saw the medical condition we were in, they changed our room immediately to a nice, no dirty rug or moldy room. Ever since then, the reception staff were extremely rude to us, unwelcoming, we did not feel like we can go to them with any of the issues we were experiencing. Moving on to food, it's really disgusting. If you are not very into sea food, your options will be very limited. They were once making some wraps, that were extremely spicy. Since I do not tolerate spicy food, I asked if they could make mine with ketchup or mayo, or no sauce at all, and I was given a 'NO' answer. Since we purchased an all-inclusive service, you would expect at least some snacks in-between meals. The 'snacks' in question were bread with one tomato, one slice of some old breakfast ham and one slice of cheese, one slice of lettuce or some old breakfast buns that are hard as rock by the time they are given as snacks. Lastly, regarding food, you would expect at least different fruits in an African country, the only fruits we were given were plums, old watermelons, very rarely grapes and melons. The fruits were absolutely disgusting, once during lunch we were eating a day old watermelon left from previous dinner time. Moving on, the staff. Before arriving I read some reviews on here about what wonderful and helpful staff they have. Well, I am here to prove you wrong. The thing is, the staff is helpful and nice, but only to french people, does not matter how much you tip them. We tipped our waiter in the restaurant total of 20 euros and not once have we received any type of better treatment, while french people, who were sitting next to us, received flowers on the table, cold water, nice glasses and actual attention. The same goes for any type of bar staff. I do recommend tipping them, cause otherwise, if you're not french and not tipping, they will not even acknowledge your existence. French people that are staying at the hotel are absolutely horrible, mean and littering everywhere. I would not come back to Tunisia just because of how french people believe it's their land and are doing anything they want there. No manners, no respect for other people, disgusting culture. Now, the worst thing ever:

This is the 2nd visit to the Thalassa Madhia Palace and the standards are still has high as last year 2023.lt is nice to see a few guests arriving from the uk on holiday as we are all our family are from the UK.All staff are still very friendly and helpful in all departments .Nothing is a problem. There is now a customer service lady in post every day if you have got any issues.We will defiantly return again in the future and then it will be our 3rd visit.

A lovely hotel amazing staff, so helpful and pleasant, beautiful beach, rooms cleaned daily, all the staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome, great family resort, and the entertainment team(animation team) are amazing really made the holiday. They get everyone to get involved with family entertainment, great fun HAMA ASKRI from entertainment, you went above and beyond to make everyone’s holiday unforgettable great talent and an all round spot on guy, all entertainment staff were spot on thumbs up from me and my family
