I'm not sure where to start. My husband and I chose Los Altos to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. We wanted a place where we could unplug, slow down and unwind. Los Altos was exactly what we had hoped for and what we needed. The townhouse was incredible. The view and the private pool were better than any picture can do a semblance of justice. Also, the grounds were amazing. We explored 2 of our mornings and saw so much wildlife! Heck, even while eating breakfast, we saw a bunch of wildlife! But, what made the experience truly special were the people we had the pleasure of getting to know during our stay. First, Jeferson, our butler, was AMAZING! He made the stay so much more special. He was a fantastic communicator, funny, truly a treat to get to know. Paco and Glen in the restaurant felt more like friends at the end of our 6 day stay. Jeremy, at the beach, made the best Mojitos we have ever had, and we are from South Florida. Honestly, everyone was a delight, they all seemed genuinely happy to help. Other things to note. Yoga was great. It was at 4pm on a platform where you can see the ocean and tons of birds. The cocktail class was fun. Melanie in the spa gives a great deep-tissue massage. Lastly, the arepas and fruit at breakfast was so good! We are so thankful for our time at Los Altos.

Had the pleasure of staying at Los Altos for 5 days and it still was not enough. The property is quiet and beautiful. The restaurant serves amazing food, I could have had all my meals here but wanted to experience and explore the town restaurants. Breakfast has the option to get a box and fill it with muffins and fruit if going on an early morning excursion. Rides down to the private beach are great. However budget time as sometimes there can be a 20 min wait to be picked up. . The pool area is immaculate and you can also have a delicious smoothie. Monkeys, birds , leaf cutter ants and other animals are living in the beautiful plants on the property. The staff is wonderful and always helpful.

We had an amazing experience at Los Altos. The people were incredibly kind and helpful, especially Jeferson and Carlos. We were in a town house suite with beautiful, secluded views of the ocean and use of a private plunge pool. The town outside the resort was in easy walking distance with cute shops and excellent restaurants. We highly recommend Los Altos for its beauty, attentive staff and room amenities.

Our family had a great experience at Los Altos. The location is wonderful- easy walking distance to many restaurants and shops. The hotel provides a free shuttle down to the main town beach (great for playing in the waves!) as well as their own beach (smaller and better for ambience- not really a swimming spot). Take advantage of their free cooking class and free walk along their nature trails with a guide! We saw toucans, macaws, squirrel monkeys, and a sloth on the property. The best part of Los Altos however is the customer service. Roberto, Carlos, and Mirla all went above and beyond to make sure we were happy, comfortable, and taken care of!

Very nice resort. Rooms for families are in the main building with lots of space. the townhouse rooms are for couples and are nice and quiet with plunge pool and privacy and butler service. The main pool is open to all.

Amazing experience. Resort was beautiful. Views were amazing. Staff was absolutely wonderful. They were friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and always made sure you had what you needed. Terrific experience.

The staff at Los Altos are exceptional! They truly make you feel like family and go above and beyond to provide the best possible experience possible. The staff is a big reason we keep coming back. I would be amiss if I didn’t mention the beautiful facilities also. You will not be disappointed when you spend time at Los Altos!

I recently stayed at Los Altos and I cannot recommend it highly enough. From the moment I arrived until the day I checked out, the staff went above and beyond to make my stay exceptional. Every single team member I interacted with was genuinely warm, professional, and attentive. They didn’t just meet expectations — they exceeded them at every turn. Whether it was remembering small personal preferences, offering thoughtful recommendations, or simply checking in to ensure everything was perfect, they made me feel truly valued and pampered. I honestly felt like royalty the entire time. The level of care and hospitality was outstanding and made all the difference in my experience. If you’re looking for a place where the service matches (or even surpasses) the beautiful surroundings, look no further than Los Altos. Check in on arrival was smooth. Carlos drove us to our townhouse. It was modern and beautiful with a view of the ocean and outdoor seating on both levels. Welcoming snacks and drinks were plentiful and gratis. The pool and cafe/bar overlooked the Pacific. We had breakfasts and dinners in the open air dining room listening to cicadas and dinner music. Carlos was aware of everything we had booked before arrival and arrangements were perfect! Great place to stay in an amazing country!

This is an absolutely incredible resort. PEAK luxury! When the elevator doors opened revealing our HUGE well appointed three bedroom suite Everyone's jaws hit the ground. Stunning accommodations. We loved the pool and spent hours there each day. The sunset views, over looking the ocean, from the pool deck are one of a kind beautiful. Each and every member of the staff is friendly and responsive- it's that level of professional attention that makes you want to return to a hotel or resort and I can't say enough how impressed we were. From the culture night in the restaurant, to the pool side service, to the luxurious turn down service each night- I felt so spoiled and happy. Exactly how you want to feel on vacation!

From the moment we arrived the staff at Jungle Vista were outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble and service was always with a smile - some of the best customer service we’ve ever experienced. Our room was very comfortable and spotless with a spacious balcony. Breakfast was excellent as was all the food we ate during our stay. Although close to the road, the hotel is quiet and peaceful unless the macaws or Howler monkeys are visiting the jungle at the back of the hotel! It is a relatively small resort with breathtaking view, wonderful pool, private beach and an exceptional service. Everyone is warm, attentive and welcoming. Everyone at the front desk (thank you Melissa!) , housekeeping, drivers and restaurant staff (special gratitude to you, Jefferson!) make you feel welcome and at home. In addition to their private beach, the resort runs shuttle to the public beach as well (which is just steps away from the Manuel Antonio National Park). All and all, we had a great spring break vacation here! L

Los Altos Resort was absolutely incredible, and we would return in a heartbeat. We stayed in one of the townhouses, and it exceeded all of our expectations. It was private, beautifully appointed, incredibly spacious, and so relaxing. The ocean view was stunning, and the plunge pool was a definite highlight. The bed was also one of the most comfortable we've ever slept in at any hotel. What truly set Los Altos apart was the service. It was some of the best we have ever experienced anywhere. From the concierge to our butler to the restaurant staff, every single person went out of their way to make our stay special and memorable. The attention to detail throughout the property was exceptional. We also loved the size of the resort. It's small, intimate, and feels exclusive, which creates such a relaxing atmosphere. The beach was another standout, almost like a private oasis, with beautiful water and a peaceful setting. While the property is hilly, it was never an issue for us. The golf cart service was fantastic; staff were always happy to pick us up and take us wherever we needed to go. The location is also excellent, within easy walking distance of the main road, where you'll find plenty of wonderful restaurants. We highly recommend Los Altos Resort to anyone visiting the Manual Antonia area It was an unforgettable stay, and we would absolutely love to return.
