Hotel Roma

The hotel is a very good choice for visiting Venice if you don't want to pay a pasture by staying on the same island. The hotel staff is very pleasant in the reception and breakfast where there is always a blonde woman who smiles every hour, it is good to take care of you like that. The bus stop is three minutes walking. And in fifteen or less you are on the Rome square of Venice.

A lovely gem of a hotel. Loved staying here and would not hesitate to return. Lovely big ceilings, sparkling clean rooms & bathrooms and a filling breakfast. We were checked in by the nicest gentleman who spoke excellent English but was prepared to talk to me in my pathetic Italiano. The rooms have a kettle, teas, coffee and biscuits etc. A mere 4 minute max walk to station if you are walking slowly. The trains to Venice are very frequent and cost less than €2.00 Big tip: when you come to the hotel by train you will come into Mestre station. whatever you do, don’t go up the stairs to exit rather follow the signs towards “Ulloa”. We went out the upstairs exit and got really lost. We crossed over but That side of the train tracks is to be absolutely avoided! So when you arrive at the station stay down below. Once you come up the ramp to the street the hotel is on your left hand side around 150 metres. If that gate is shut then turn left at the corner and you will have the front of the hotel on your left just a few metres away.

Stayed here with my son for 2 nights getting there about 5pm we did not have 3rd Covid Jab so they were reluctant to let us stay sent us to a local pharmacy for a test they rang Hotel to advise they only had a certain test which Hotel did not accept eventually relented and let us stay providing we did not go in restaurant no cheaper price or bringing some breakfast next day which would have been appreciated as we had to go under the underpass to the only take away shop we could find passing all the ************ whether it was 7am or 10pm not nice at all, staff very snappy with me when I asked her to come up to room to check lock if you need a key to get in then you presume that you need to use key to lock door apparently when door is shut from inside no one outside can open unless they have a key, small room adequate clean sheets towels (hard) overlooking flat roof , very handy to bus station which takes you to train station easy to go to Venice

Hotel location is a bit biased, the first day at 9:30 to mestre, looking for a long time to find orz; it is recommended to take the bus 6 or 6L to lavelli or S.Antonio, find a church, go straight to see the hotel. The grandfather at the front desk had a very good service attitude. Although he did not speak English very much, he tried very hard to let us understand the nearby traffic and places to buy tickets. The room is very clean - but the shower gel and shampoo are together... no slippers, the disposable cup for brushing is easy to break, and will not help you change... wifi is very fast and the environment is quiet. But Venice at the end of September is very cold at night, so it is best to sleep in this hotel with long sleeves, because it only provides one sheet... freezing dead! Overall it is good.
