Aside from some rickety furniture that was scratched up, the room was terrific.

My girlfriend and I have stayed at this hotel for years when I come to visit from Colorado. This stay was a huge disappointment. We were awaken at 1am by a very loud noise that went on for hours. We couldn’t figure out what it was. We informed the front desk the next morning and were told no one else had complained and we should have called the front desk and they would have investigated it then. That to me is very poor customer service and they have lost us as future guests!

Nice hotel in Marina del Rey with a midcentury-modern touch. Pictures of famous visitors from the 60ies indicate a long history. Beautiful marina view - if you are staying on 2nd or 3rd floor. Rooms on first floor are facing pool, restaurant or parking lot instead and shouldn‘t be sold as marina view at all! Marina del ray is a nice, safe and quiet area which is not for from Venice, Santa Monica and Hollywood. We stay in L.A. a lot and this is our most favourable area. The restaurant of the hotel is pricy but very recommendable. Poolarea is okay, big jacuzzi, but a shower is missing - not very hygienic. Only valet parking, since there is no other way to get there as by car it‘s another 45$/per night you should substract from your budget. Overall we can recommend the place as long as you are not staying on 1st floor.

nice property but not as nice as surrounding areas

We stayed in the Hotel for four nights. All the staff we encountered were very nice indeed. There was a variety of unacceptable problems with our room, not all of which could be rectified during our stay. This was a downer and is the reason for the low rating. Subsequent correspondence with customer relations elicited a thoughtful and very satisfactory response. We’d stay there again.

Nancy at the front desk was nice and very helpful. All staff was friendly. Thank you. We will be returning in the summer.

We love the property for its location, and the pool. The rooms do need some basic maintenance however. The showers need some deep cleaning, and the carpet was frayed by the slider to the outside. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay.

I enjoyed everything

The balcony room with marina view is absolutely the best! The heated pool and the restaurant/bar were great too! The service is top notch and valet drivers were also amazing. I felt safe and comfortable during my stay.

Amazing property

i would recommend it and I would certainly be back to this hotel . Great location and great view. Good value for money . $45 a night parking is just too much . Self parking should be available to those who are staying at the hotel. Down the road city parking meter is available only $5 a month . I would certainly recommend it . I had breakfast on 3 different days at the restaurant. Food is very good. Service in general is good . Exception of one day . had a different server and waited to order for 15 minutes to place my order because she was not around . Later she showed up and took my order and disappeared again . ) I had to wait for the check and she never come back to collect the check . I charged it to room. Nevertheless hotel has great potential and historical place in a way. It’s been around for a long time . I would come back and I hope that some of the things I have mentioned can be improved .

Very nice hotel, and close the to beach, the price is also good not too expensive

Beautiful & quiet place for couples to hang out.
