Medhufushi Island Resort

We found this resort really outstanding incl Room, surrounding, pool and of-course the overall service. Everything seems out of world. Check-in handling by Sameer and the night DJ by Bunty finished just now was excellent

We have just returned from a 9 night break at the Medhufushi resort and had a lovely holiday. The resort itself is lovely and the staff were attentive as soon as we stepped off the Seaplane. The whole atmosphere of the island is very relaxing and calming. We stayed in a Water Villa and the rooms had everything we needed. We were originally on the morning sunrise side, which only gave us morning sun, so we asked to move to the opposite side with the amazing sunsets and the staff were so accommodating to move us. This was definitely a great decision to make and if you are coming to this resort, ensure you ask for the sunset side, the villa numbers start from 113. The villa itself was a little tired and could do with some updating, but although this was the case it didn’t affect our holiday in any way. Our room was cleaned every day. The main restaurant is a buffet and there is lots of choice for each mealtime. I personally loved the homemade ice cream!! Our Waiter Ronny was superb and always made us laugh. He really looked after us and nothing was too much trouble. All of the waiting staff were polite and friendly. There are daily trips and our favourite was the line fishing, we had never done this before and the team on the boat were always happy to help and we couldn’t believe how many we caught!! The weather was also amazing. It is meant to be rainy season at this time of year, but we had no more than 15 minutes rain during our entire stay. We would definitely look at returning to this resort, it was beautiful and the staff really went over and above and really help make your experience special.

We have just returned from Medhufushi Island Resort, we went for my wife's birthday celebration, we were met off the sea plane and Novi straight away wished her a "Happy Birthday", we were taken to our water villa and found the bed to be dressed with a beautiful "Happy Birthday". The holiday was about to begin, the water bungalow was lovely but was south facing on the left side of the walkways and we only got the sun up until 1 o'clock, I would say the snorkelling was better on this side of the water bungalows, but if you are seeking the sun throughout the day and to see the sun rise and the sun set from your water bungalow then the water bungalows to the right hand side of the walkways would be better, but these bungalows are not as private on this side. Our room was kept beautifully clean by Basheen, if we needed anything we just had to ask him and he accommodated us quickly with whatever we needed at the time. The staff on the island were always so pleasant and were so polite when you were walking around the island, even the ladies in the morning brushing the leaves away on the sand pathways were very polite. The food was excellent, far too much and the choice was excellent at every meal time. Our waiter was Sajjat and he was so lovely and so attentive at our meal times. He arranged for a special birthday table to be set up and a birthday cake, he realised my wife did not want a lot off fuss for her birthday so he quietly brought out the birthday cake for her, which she was very appreciative of. The whole island is quite big and the snorkelling for someone like my wife who is not a strong swimmer was excellent I would say the whole of the island was okay for her to feel quite safe in the water. The bar on the evening where the sharks were fed at 7 o'clock was lovely very relaxing and the bar staff were attentive and very happy to supply your choice of drink. Monika was lovely and made my wife different mocktails for her her to try. The water sports on the island were ridiculously expensive, there was hardly anyone who hired anything, for example the jet ski was $300 for 1 hour. The spa looked nice but this seemed a little expensive too, I am sure if they charged a little less they would get far more business. The sea plane was excellent, we got there quickly 45 mins approximately and it was ready and on time for our return.

Hi We are enjoying this island medhufushi at Maldives stayed two nights in beach villa and staying at present water villa This trip was long awaiting trip for me as we both love travelling and visiting different countries places locations etc Gaurav and team made us to stay comfortable here Lot many young and newly married cute couples are enjoying here By looking into that we too enjoyed our stay and flying back tomorrow to Hyderabad India

This resort has exceeded our expectations. We spent 4 beautiful days, loved each and every moment here. This resort is quite popular among Indians and Asians,  you will find visitors from all over the world and they truly meet everyone's expectations. We were accommodated into 2 bedroom beach villa, the comfortable bed and open shower room was really great, woke up with the sound of chirping birds and glimpse of white sand and ocean breeze and for the other 2 nights we took over-water villas which offers  stunning views of the crystal-clear turquoise waters, creating a truly serene atmosphere. The buffet offers wide selection and different types of meals and desserts, it's advisable to go for full board, we loved all the refreshing mocktails here - The staff is quite friendly, they will greet you no matter wherever you are,  very attentive, prompt and professional.  Impeccable , luxurious amenities in the affordable price and the diverse culinary experience make it a top-notch destination for those seeking a perfect blend of relaxation and indulgence in the heart of the Maldives. Transportation - By Speed Boat approx 2.5hours and 45 mins by Sea plane from Male Airport  Water Activities - Snorkeling, Scuba Diving, Dolphin Watch, JetSki, KayaKing, Surfing etc everything is in-house so make your holidays adventurous and thrilling. Special Dinner - Surprise your partner or loved ones with special dinner night, they arrange beautiful decor setup and great food by the pool side starting from 200USD depending on the menu you select. Mosque - Offer your prayers and duas at the pretty cozy mosque inside the property  Spa - Pamper your body and mind with extensive spa services. This was our dream family Island vacation with purely Maldivian vibe. Cant wait to visit again.

1) The resort is slightly rough around the edges and hasn’t been maintained to a perfect standard since its opening. So don’t expect 4 star. Needs maintenance in terms of the aged planks on wooden bridges and other structures which need a little love and upkeep. But it’s priced accordingly. 2) Staff are AMAZING and so kind. They really go the extra mile to be warm and accommodating - especially: Hassan at the pool Subha at reception Jagan - reception Sharif restaurant Manita at the bar Chanukah Merta Dhoni Crew and Mashek who took us snorkelling Novi at reception 3) FREE snorkelling, island hopping and shark feeding everyday which I had to pay for when visited another resort!

Stayed for 2 weeks AI (4-18 May) and it was amazing. Arriving by sea plane was extra special, great to see so many different islands en route and takes around 35 mins (more if you drop off to other islands like we did). We were greeted by such friendly staff, which set the scene for our stay. Lead straight to our water villa which was ready and waiting in full AC mode. Walking out of your comfy room onto the decking and looking out at the crystal clear water as so the many fish, turtles, stingrays and sharks swim by was magical. Many an hour was spent doing this during our time at Medufushi, and well as snorkeling around with them all. The food was great, so much to choose from at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Fresh fish, various curries, pasta station, sushi, breads, soups, fresh meat, salads, english dishes, naan (to die for), omelette/eggs station, cereals, fruit, different ice cream & sorbets flavours each day, hot & cold puddings (far too yummy). If you can't find anything to eat here, then you must be extremely fussy. We did the daily free snorkelling boat trips and saw some magnificent coral reefs with copious amounts of fish, and having turtles, sharks and stingrays swim by was just magical. This was from 2-4, so you arrived back at the resort in time for high tea at the bar (as if we needed more food!!, but it was lovely, again different every day). We went at the start of the rainy season, so there were a couple of rain storms, but overall during our 2 weeks the weather was glorious. Spoke to others that always go this time of year and I can see why, slightly cheaper and not full occupancy. Some days we hardly saw anyone, and staff have time to stop and chat to you. If you are thinking of booking, just do it. If you want a laid back resort, no stress, slightly rustic, no frills.....this is the place for you, as this all adds to its charm. We're so glad we did, had a fab time. We've been home a week and I so miss watching the sea planes come and go, the ocean with all the different fish swimming around, baby sharks by the waters edge, local heron checking out his next snack, hermit crabs wandering the beach, gecko's on the lights at night.....and the lovely staff which made our holiday so special.
