Reviews of San Giorgio Modica Hotel

Posizione dell’albergo eccellente e personale gentilissimo. La camera lasciava a desiderare per pulizia, arredo scadente e materasso scomodo ma soprattutto per un bagno con servizi igienici separati ma vasca,anche se idromassaggio, e lavandino nella camera stessa certamente scomodi per la pulizia personale.

Expecting a lovely boutique hotel, we were aghast to find the awkward layout, unfinished and poorly maintained rooms, and lack of basic amenities.

The hotel is in a great location ,however that does not outweigh the desperate need of refurbishing throughout. The state of the bathrooms would defeat cleaning until the grouting and sealant is replaced. Curtains that don't draw , dirty carpet and and general air of disinterest by whoever owns it. The friendly staff deserve better

The location is great and the welcome we received was great ( it feels a bit mean to criticise but need to). This is an olde building next to the cathedral in Modica alta. Essentially the interior has been ripped out and replaced with something ultra modern. Furnishings are cheap and cleanliness is not great (stains on the carpet and mould inThe shower). Getting a beer when we arrived was like appearing in your own episode of ‘Fawlty Towers’. The glass door to the balcony in our room was cracked.Breakfast was very simple, fruit juice served in plastic cups ( not very sustainable). However staff were really friendly. We wouldn’t return.

One the face without being there it looks great. However, disappointment ensues when you arrive. An old building that has been refurbished in a super modern architect designed interior that has nothing to do with the old-style exterior. Room lighting systems that are not quite fit for purpose, concealed electric blinds that are faulty, beds that are not the best quality. All the tech but not maintained. I think the worst aspect was a shower stall that must be the worst I have ever come across. Photos included. The mould and silicone were absolutely shocking. Absolutely no excuse. It will have been seen each and every day by cleaning staff who never reported it to management. Even after showering I felt dirty. Wall covering in common parts and room access hallways peeling on edges that could easily be rectified with adhesive. There is absolutely no excuse for disrepair. Breakfast was OK. Basic continental. Coffee was good however. The plus side was that it was reasonably close to the centre but parking was not the easiest.

An enviable location in all respects, but nothing more, a four-star, but in reality much less, terrible cleaning, bidet attached with silicone, which comes off as soon as you lean on it 😱 detached shelf dangling, decidedly dirty shower, no hair dryer, no shelf for soap, breakfast almost all packaged. Lots of lights that are useless.

Abbiamo soggiornato 2 notti in questo hotel in occasione di una settimana di vacanza nella Sicilia barocca. Bellissimo hotel ai piedi del duomo di San Giorgio con vista spettacolare su Modica. Tutte le camere sono a tema cinematografico. La nostra spaziosa e confortevole è ispirata a Blade Runner. Personale gentile e cordiale .Colazione ottima e abbondante

Nella famosa località siciliana di Modica, che si affaccia davanti alla bellissima chiesa di san Giorgio e nell’adiacenza del corso principale della città si trova l’hotel San Giorgio… Ben curato, ottimo per qualità/prezzo. Il personale gentile e cortese con il cliente, disponibile per qualsiasi esigenza possa servire a chi soggiorna in una struttura alberghiera.. La sala della colazione veramente bella con vista su tutta la città… In conclusione, se vuoi soggiornare a Modica in un posto confortevole…. Bisogna sceglie l’hotel san Giorgio… Complimenti!!!

Pernottamento dall’11/10/2025 al 13/10/2025 Cominciamo dai punti forti: posizione comoda, tramite scalinate panoramiche, per tutte le attrazioni della cittadina, personale cortese e disponibile, un interessante recupero della costruzione, ancora in fieri, e un costo ridotto, soprattutto per essere un albergo quattro stelle. Purtroppo a queste luci si contrappongono ombre che inficiano le potenzialità della struttura, almeno per quanto riguarda la camera a noi riservata: pavimento rivestito di moquette, per la quale già è difficile garantire un adeguato livello di igiene, macchiata in più punti, assenza del bidet (non adeguatamente sottolineata), sanitari di colore nero, tanto scenografici quanto difficilmente valutabili quanto a pulizia, assenza di qualsivoglia appoggio nella doccia, per cui si finisce per appoggiare il bagno schiuma sulla mensola posta esternamente (ormai gonfiata dall’umidità) e, infine, un materasso concavo al centro e, quindi, non comodissimo. Colazione varia, seppur meno artigianale di quanto mi sarei aspettato, che si consuma in locale con vista panoramica Voto, tutto considerato: 6

Struttura completamente da ristrutturare, necessiterebbe di una revisione per rispecchiare un 4stelle. Unica cosa positiva la posizione, praticamente al centro del paese.

Hotel sito lateralmente al duomo di San Giorgio, ci ha ospitato ad inizio agosto. La nostra stanza era panoramica sul duomo e sul paese e solo la vista ripagava del prezzo. Il servizio di pulizia era puntuale e preciso, mai lesinato su asciugamani. La colazione era abbondante forse lacunosa nel settore continentale, ma personalmente non mangio salato la mattina. Andrebbero sistemate meglio le tende oscuranti, in quanto la mattina troppo presto entra il sole, ma ciò non scalfisce minimamente il giudizio positivissimo dell'albergo

Un 4 stelle che di 4 stelle non ha nulla, il letto formato da una rete e un materasso senza poggiatesta, per comodini due mensole, per poter fare una doccia ho impiegato circa mezz'ora l'acqua calda non arrivava, i sanitari erano adatti ai puffi, il vetro della porta del balcone era lesionato, doccia poca pulita e bagno poco pulito.
