Stayed in a Conestoga wagon, which was super cool. Staff wasn’t super friendly, which was kind of disappointing and the restaurant was super expensive with a grumpy waitress. Bathrooms were shared, stayed occupied, and a little dirty. Excellent views and beautiful horses!

This is our 2nd stay in one of the wagons at Buffalo Valley Ranch. Our kids loved our stay so much last time that it was their only request for our most recent trip. It is a unique experience for sure. The bathrooms are what you would expect being on a horse ranch. The lodge bathrooms are open 24hours, so I would recommend using those. All of the negative comments are likely from people with unrealistic expectations. If you want somewhere unique to stay with your family, away from the hustle & bustle of Jackson, give this place a try. I promise your kids will love it!

Rustic was nice. 75 sled dogs howling at night made it difficult to sleep I really enjoyed the horse trail ride.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the unique wagons at the Buffalo Valley Ranch! Was amazing walking around to see all the sled dogs and horses and was convenient having the cafe down the path for dinner. The view of the mountains is also amazing! It is a working ranch so be prepared to take in all that unique experience offers.

I wanted something different, so I rented a stagecoach. It was actually quite comfortable except the bed doesn’t include sheets. The donkey 30 yards from my coach let me know he was unhappy at 2a. The 50 yard walk to the restroom/shower was dark and muddy. The bathroom/shower is pretty nasty. It was interesting though.

It’s a working ranch, making it a fun adventure to hear the cows and see the horses. I’ve stayed in the wagon several times…only “wish” is for better, cleaner bathrooms.

I stayed late in the season. The teepees were down but they gave me a wagon. I was very thankful that I had my own bedding, it kept me warm. There is a heater in the wagon, but I relied on my goose down. It was a muddy time of year. The view of the horses was pretty. The community shower was hot, no problem there.

The bathrooms and showers are awful with no taps, leaking taps, shower recess dirty and overall tired and grubby.

Cute affordable cabins/tents and nice view of the Tetons; however, the communal bathrooms were very dirty and there was a wood 2x4 with a nail sticking out on the floor in one bathroom. The restaurant on site was closed but we were given recommendations to a great restaurant near by

We stayed 1 night in the covered wagon. Staff at check in- very accommodating and friendly. Bathrooms were cleaner than expected compared to reviews.

Bathrooms near the covered wagons need to be completely renovated. Great experience overall being in the wilderness. Staff friendly beautiful area.

Find somewhere else, it's worth paying more! The heater in the wagon didn't work properly, the carbon monoxide alarm went off in the middle of the night and no one was available to help. We had to leave with 2 little kids in the middle of the night. We could deal with bad customer service and the horribly dirty bathrooms, Can't deal with possibly dying in our sleep. Got a run around from all the managers as well as ******* regarding refund. What a joke of a business. Such a disappointment.

My friends and I (all women) were excited about an adventurous stay in a Buffalo Valley Ranch Chuckwagon. We had stayed in one before in Utah and it was great - so it wasn't our first Chuckwagon Experience. However, we weren't prepared for this Chuckwagon. It was so bad that we left and lost our free night we had earned with **********. First, we did enjoy watching the horses being moved from one pen to another but that was the only thing we enjoyed. There was only a zipper on the Chuckwagon - NO DOOR at all - no way to be safe. So if you're a group of women please keep that in mind. There were spider webs around the light fixture and a big bug in the ceiling and it totally smelled like a barn. The mattresses looked uncomfortable. We walked in and all just looked at each other in shock. We tried talking with two clerks about the problem and they both refused to work with us in any way so we left and had to pay $236 to stay in a decent hotel that night elsewhere. They also had charged $20 to rent sheets for the night - we returned these unopened and they refused to even refund that part! (Having to file a dispute for this charge.) Also - be sure to eat before you go - we were going to eat dinner there but the cook in their restaurant angrily shouted, "It'll be two hours before we can get to any new orders!" Two of us had stayed at Heart Six (same organization) years before in a room and we were satisfied - sadly, this place has really gone downhill.

Pros: it is relatively cheap and has more fun than hotels in the region; View is nice and you can see many horses; Cons: It gets really chilly at night (August) even the heating is working; It is very smelly outside the wagon (from horse manure) but okay inside the wagon; pay extra 20$ for beddings; Bathroom is outside and shared. You get what you pay, overall is okay as the kids like it. Don't check in too late as the office may be closed and it is very dark at night.

Unique accommodations in a beautiful area which is so close to an array of natural park attractions. Our family had a wonderful time.
