The hotel facilities are very new, the interior is clean and comfortable, the service is friendly, and it is very close to the subway station. The only problem is that the location is relatively remote, so we rarely go out at night.

The hotel is located in the heart of the city centre and is located in the heart of the city centre.

The hotel is clean, the service is excellent, the room is spacious, very close to the customer company, very convenient. The surrounding supermarkets are not too close, and it is not convenient to buy small things. The facilities were generally good. The less satisfied place was that the bottom sheet of the bedding was not cotton when I slept on the second night. It was actually Poly. Maybe I have higher requirements for bedding. Everything else is quite good. I will stay again next time.

We stayed on a Friday night before crossing the bridge into Manhattan the next morning for a cruise. Check in was fast and friendly. Room older but clean. Bed was comfortable. Only caution, is the room did not have a microwave. In the morning, we took the free breakfast back to our room as there was not much seating in the lobby. Overall, a good price for clean accommodations.

My son and I went down to the city for his track meet. Due to his late event and impending storm, I decided we should stay over. I chose to stay at this hotel overnight since it was at a convenient location. The front desk staff were awesome. They were friendly and really helpful answering some of my questions. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The reason I give it a 3 instead of 4 or 5 is for a couple of reasons: When I ordered room service, I was asked to come downstairs and pick up the food. I almost dropped the tray. Also, when I took a shower, the water was not going down the drain fast enough so the water would stay on the tub. In addition, the hotel is dated and needs a little bit of work. Other than that, I would come again as the staff was great and the room was clean and comfortable.

The initial room was DISGUSTINGLY FILTHYand the refrigerator was not working properly. Second room just as FILTHY!!!! Not given another opportunity to change rooms Was promised housekeeping would arrive to rectify the issues. It never happened! Each time I returned from work I found the room with the exact same issues. Front desk was of no assistance. On last night of stay Front Desk employee told me I could come downstairs and get clean sheets to put on the bed. The sheets that were on the bed were stained with bodily fluid and filled with holes. The bedskirt had a large red stain. There was a dead bug under the pillow. The balcony was covered in bird feces. The bathroom had no heat. The chair apolstery had a disgusting stains, some of which appeared to be of sexual activity origin. The bed table lampshade was severely stained. I took photos of everything!!!!! With all of these major issues, the owner sent word to the Front Desk Mgr. Taylor to offer me a 15% refund on my stay! 15% is equivalent to a spit in the face! Sadly, I had not checked reviews of the hotel prior to booking. Over the years I have stayed at several Choice Hotels and only once had issues with the condition of my room and the Manager immediately refunded me for the horrible experience. This hotel in Edgewater is completely unacceptable! I see there are good and even gleaming reviews from many guests so apparently there is a lot of inconsistency in the quality of housekeeping and staff. The breakfast offerings were abysmal!!!! Bargain basement pastries that were stale. No prepared oatmeal. Given packets that I suppose guests are supposed to microwave. Overripe brown bananas. Couldn't even get a cup of decaf coffee because the cannister was broken. Coomon sense would say to use one of the other cannisters to allow decaf drinking guests the same opportunity for coffee! I had to go out and buy breakfast items! Extremely low class establishment primarily staffed with low class employee service. Spare yourself the stress and uncomfortability by booking elsewhere. There is a Hilton within close proximity. I would think better accomodations can be found there. Best wishes to all for safe and enjoyable travels!

Me and Harlem go way back. Aloft Harlem used to be my go to hotel before I started staying more on the lower east side. In fact, a Marriott employee who used to work at Aloft directed me to this brand new, just opened hotel. I was excited to return to uptown and stay in this spot! I wanted to love this hotel. I don’t like giving lackluster reviews and feeling like a Karen. But over two nights, the transgressions just piled up. I’m a Marriott ambassador who stays in hotels about 240 nights a year. I never bring up my status. This might be the first time I actually uttered in frustration, “it’s September and I’ve already spent 27,000 dollars at these hotels, why is this so hard?” Upon checkin, it took almost an hour. This is even more frustrating because my first night was business and my company always sends a spending authorization. Two days in a row I checked with the hotel to see if they had received the authorization. They lost the first one. They mismanaged the second one. I always call or chat ahead to ensure a smooth checkin. It was still a mess when I arrived. The room was a “Central Park view.” I should have known better; I don’t know why I believed this title. I know New York geography better than that. I was looking into a building. Central Park facing or in the direction of Central Park shouldn’t be called central park view. I had changed from the city view to the Central Park view before arrival and I guess I’m glad I did because while they were trying to figure out my reservation they mentioned they had oversold the city view rooms. I will say the black out shades do a great job. The bed was fine. Sheets were a little co****. This hotel costs close to what a Moxy costs, so their sheets should be comparably smooth and comfortable. The bathroom was an absolute joke. Maybe not all the rooms are like mine, but mine may as well not have had a door. As you can see in my photos, the door is for “art.” There is a huge gap where you can see everything! Like probably 12 inches or greater of a gap! Who designed this and thought it was a great idea?! Glad I was alone. The air unit is SUPER loud. Doesn’t bother me as much since we usually have a fan on at home, but it was so loud that when it came on, I had to turn the TV up. It will likely bother some people. And you can hear everything through the walls. Oh, and the toilet clogged twice. And one of the days, the hot water was off all day for repairs, though that’s out of anyone’s control. It’s just giving context to a very un-relaxing stay. Back to the front desk mess—I later noted a destination fee on my bill (I had two separate bills because one night was business and one was personal). I don’t mind destination fees—I’ve had them at many Marriott properties. But I was never informed of this one. I even asked at the restaurant, and they had no idea. its was a great location in New jersey. Right By the George Washington Bridge and closer to Bronx NY. Rooms are Very clean bed are Very comfy over all services are good. Front desk staff are Very helpful. I would Stay again.
