Had THE most awful experience here. Here are some of the reasons I strongly advise you to stay away: 1. THEY STOLE £200 FROM ME. They charged my card £200 for allegedly eating a takeaway in the room. I was utterly shocked after checking out to receive a snotty email and a £200 charge on my card for a rule I didn’t break and didn’t even know about (I’ve made multiple requests for evidence that either I had a takeaway or had been informed about this secret rule which they have continued to ignore). 2. They LOCKED US IN. When we tried to leave the car park gates were locked and a queue of cars were waiting. I rang reception and the guy angrily told me the gates weren’t locked and hung up on me. I had to walk back up to reception and insist we really were locked in, and it still took another 20 minutes for some guy to take a leisurely stroll down to the gates to let us all out. 3. THEY LOCKED US OUT. They didn’t inform us that they keep the hotel doors locked at all times and you need to phone them to get back in. This meant me and my sick boyfriend had to wait outside in the rain for 30 minutes because we didn't take our phones with us. 4. The nosey hotel owner kept following my boyfriend round whenever she saw him out for a walk, asking prying questions and making inappropriate comments that made him uncomfortable. 5. There was a disgusting red stain on our bed sheet when we arrived. I don't even want to know what it was.

The bad - Avoid room 35! This is around the back of the hotel unfortunately close to the kitchens so the smell of fat permeates into the room. It is also directly opposite one of the entrances. The door lets in greasy smell, light and draught (light and draft sorted by towel along the bottom). Also there is a bright green light above the door that shines all night. I couldn’t cover that! The floorboards in the room above creak at every footstep. The good - lovely modern shower. The food is the saving grace of this hotel. Restaurant dinner and the breakfast were lovely. Really friendly staff too……..which is what has bumped my review up to average.

We wanted a quick overnight stop after a long trip from the ferry in Holyhead. We were looking for nothing special and we got it. They accommodate a late check-in which was great, and staff at reception and bar were efficient and friendly. Plenty of parking. Breakfast was par for the course, but not anything special. Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean. It's not what I'd call a destination hotel, but for 2 weary travellers it was fine. One exception was an extremely bright light on the patio directly outside the room's window, and the curtains were inadequate to block it effectively. A black-out blind would probably do the job. In the same circumstances, I'd use it again

We had lunch on a busy Thursday. The place is popular and rightly so. Plenty of good parking, pleasant decor, well cooked food and good service. A fairly functional looking place but recommended for doing everything well, and a great place to stop for a motorway break.

Very comfortable bed and pillows. Goos size room. All the staff very helpful and professional. Nothing was to much trouble. The food was the best had for a long time . Served quickly and and a great choice and plenty of it. Could not find any problems . The restaurant was busy but the staff were organised and ready for the rush. Checked in quickly.

We are a family of 6 adults and two babies who stayed for one night for a wedding. I phoned in advance as check in could have been a problem as we were at the wedding during the check in times. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. Also we had a 7 week old baby and a 2 year old with special needs. We were given 2 rooms on the ground floor which were accessible. They were perfect. Clean, spacious and very well equipped with parking spaces that were very close. Thank you. We had a very large room in the main building which was a bit dated but very clean with a modern shower room. Breakfast was very good and the staff were great. In all it was incredible value for money with good standard of cleanliness and lovely staff.
