Nozawa Grand Hotel

Nozawaonsen|0.79km from Japan Ski Museum
The level of the staff is broken and there is no sense of unity as a hotel. One of the young female staff at the restaurant was very rude. After the dishes were arranged, the wife dropped her voice so that she could not hear them around her, and asked for a replacement of a dish on the table. After the staff lowered the dish, what happened? I asked my wife, and she said that she had a hair, so she had to change it. I was surprised at the attitude. There was no apology when I brought another (think). After that, the young female staff who took charge of the waiter was friendly and worked rustling and was a good impression. Some of the dishes were subtly different from the plan. 3 options of the Seishinshu Premium Cow Plan 3 items, but actually [200g! Giant steak → thin Yakiniku 7 pieces 【grilled grill】 →grilled grilled (OK) 【soboro miso】 → beef suji boiled These were not written on the day's offering, but later confirmed, I found that it was different from the plan's dish. I didn't want to make a claim on the spot, and I couldn't confirm it properly. The huge steak is a lie. (total 200g?) The taste was left without the taste of the steak. The grip is not false, but it is regrettable that the flavor is poor. The beef suji boiled was delicious. In the end, if this is Shinshu premium cow, Shinshu cow is not far from HIDA cow. The female staff at the front desk asked about the procedure for the Go To campaign, and it was explained that the hotel was not yet designated as the target facility, so I would look at the hotel's homepage later. It was a terrible feeling. The hotel is located on the slope from the center of the hot spring town, but it is not so far away, close to the hot water and the hand washing hot water of the bear. I was able to enjoy the walk enough. You can see the mountain from the upper floor to the mountain of the asama. The parking lot is large. Because it is the departure and landing place of the bus stop, it will be convenient for people visiting by train bus.

Asahiya Ryokan

Very cozy bed and breakfast, good environment, clean and spacious room, the improved dinner and breakfast are very good and special, dinner is a large set, it is really a good stay. The hotel also thoughtfully put the guest's name at the door of the room. It is also close to the bus station for convenient check-in with luggage. Will choose next time I go to Nozawaonsen.
Gasthof Schi Heil

A cosy and friendly place to stay! Gasthof Schi Heil is right in the centre of town and a close walk to convenience stores, restaurants, cafes and the base of the mountain. The staff are also very friendly and accommodating and assisted us with making reservations and booking tours. Would highly recommend!

Ryokan Sakaya

Gem in Nozawa. One of the best ryokan in Nozawa. Professional top quality staff. Breakfast and dinner (optional) are served on the second and third floor. English speaking staff available. A showcase of Japanese hospitality.  We had the kaiseki dinner and shabu shabu dinner at the ryokan which was excellent.  Within the ryokan, there are single sex indoor and outdoor onsen (with sauna facility) and also a private onsen for reservation. The ryokan is in the middle of Nozawa village, with a short main street of shops and many free public onsens. There are a few hot steam buns stores and also multiple craft beer joints.  From the ryokan, walk 3-5 minutes up a steep hill to reach the moving walkway up the ski hill. Very convenient.  From Nozowa village bus station, there is a free shuttle bus which can bring you to five different ski resorts around town.  Ryokan Sakaya is highly recommended and early reservations are necessary

The location, rooms and onsen are exceptional. Our stay was among one of my favorite during our adventure in Japan. They even offer discount lift tickets at the front desk. Upon arrival, the host was so kind and showed us around to all the vicinities, and the meals were VERY traditional.
