Stayed for one night on the way to Sweden. The Alcedo hotel offered nice and warm hospitality. Guest rooms are in a motel type annex and are comfortable and clean. Good food, friendly staff. Had no time to try out the sport facilities but there’s a gym and more. Good value for money.

Als "Basislager" für mehrere Kurztrips an die Küste hatten wir das "Alcedo" ausgewählt, weil es in der Nähe von Greifswald dafür ideal gelegen war. Grundsätzlich waren wir von dem Objekt als solches und dem Hotel im Speziellen eigentlich begeistert. Noch größer wäre die Begeisterung gewesen, hätte es in den "Motel"-Zimmern eine Klimaanlage oder wenigstens einen Ventiltor gegeben. Bei tropischen Nachttemperaturen war an erholsamen Schlaf nicht wirklich zu denken. Vielleicht könnte die Photovoltaikanlage etwas Strom für die Klimatisierung der Hotelzimmer und Arbeitsplätze (!) der Beschäftigten abgeben. Da sollte man mal mit ihr reden! Der Anblick des laut HRS-Eintrages "reichhaltigen Frühstücks" war etwas ernüchternd. Da haben wirin Hotels mit schlechterer Bewertung schon deutlich Besseres gesehen. Tröstlich, daß das eigens zubereitete Rührei exzellent war! Eigentlich sollte man ja mit dem Besten beginnen, ich möchte mit dem Besten enden: die überaus freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Mitarbeiterinnen. Das wird aus einer aufgeschnappten Bemerkung am Abend (es ging um einen Hochzeitstag) ganz schnell mal eine zauberhafte Frühstücksdeko improvisiert! Vielen Dank dafür noch einmal!
