Only stayed for one night and rested and fell asleep the next day to continue the trip, so I didn’t feel much. Overall, the bed was quite soft and quite a lot. The bathroom light didn't work. The coffee was cold, there was a roach crawling in the table next to the bed. The breakfast was bad. There was no syrup for the waffles, no butter, the milk was cool not cold, no cream cheese for the bagels.

There is a lot around this hotel but this is THE WORST hotel I have ever stayed at. There were roaches in the room. Went to the staff and let them know and he told me they were all booked and didn’t have any other rooms. I felt gross. The bathroom had roaches and the beds and the AC unit.

I was trying to have a little get away for myself to relax. As soon as I walked in my room the smell of the cleaner was so strong that it triggered a headache. I was on the 2nd floor and I went to open the window to air out the room some and there wasn’t a screen. Good thing I didn’t have any kids with me! I went to lay on the bed and it was a very stiff, you could tell it was old! I didn’t really feel comfortable enough to walk bare footed through the room. I took a long hot shower. The shower floor where it met the walls had some black spots that needed cleaned, I assume it was mold. I thought to myself, it’s just one night and this was what I got for not spending a few extra dollars and getting a better hotel. I was just wanting to lay down and watch tv and sleep. I went to brush my teeth.. when I turned the water on a ROACH crawled in the sink. I jumped back and screamed like a little girl. I said “that’s it! I’m going home!” I called the service desk and told them what I saw and I told them I was leaving and I wanted my money back. He apologized and asked me if he could change my room, I said “I’ll pass, thanks!” He didn’t argue with me or ask any questions and refunded my money and I left.

The rooms were not well taken care of or that clean. The breakfast room did not have a working juice dispenser and the waffle and syrup dispensers were not working properly either. We chose the hotel based on its location, but next time we may decide to drive a little further to find a place that has some of the basic amenities in order.

I do not recommend the Baymont in O’Fallon. The staff was friendly, however, our room was cleanish. There were stains all over the couch and comforter. There was also a burn hole in the comforter. The king bed sloped to the middle. I barely slept as it was very uncomfortable. I found hair on the bathroom floor and the hotel has cockroaches. I killed one in the bathroom, and saw one on the middle of the lobby floor. I can not speak about the breakfast as I wouldn’t not eat it after finding cockroaches. When I showered, I noticed chunks of mold or a buildup of some kind coming out of the “sealed” area between the floor of the shower and the wall. The metal ring around the water line running from the toilet to the wall was detached from the wall so you could see into the wall. The towels were also stained. Please save yourself some grief and stay somewhere else.

The room had no soap or tissues. The tv remote was missing, went to the desk twice to get a working remote. Breakfast did not have juice, milk or water.

We arrived at 1am, tired. We are in our 70s. And we were asked for a $100 deposit for possible damages. They experienced a lot of partiers who damaged their rooms. We told the clerk we couldn’t tie up my card because I needed what was left on it for gas for the trip home. He assured us he was only holding it on file. We found out AmExpress couldn’t release the hold for 72 hours and we had to call our son for money to be transferred, so we could buy gas to get home. We were at an event in Utah, traveling to our home in Virginia. 1. We are 70yrs old, tired and arriving at 1am, not ready to party. 2. Then desk said our remaining credit would be accessible after the hold. Then we noticed the filth. The elevator floor covered in spillage that seems like it had been there for a while. Our room was not vacuumed, mirrors had lint dust that had been there for a while, toilet had fecal matter, shower had footprints and mold, windows and bath glass door had dirt and grease smudge marks, comforter was torn and there were blood stains, bedspread had large soil stains that seeped to the comforter. We were offered another room… but we expected to see the same, based on what we saw in the elevator. We asked for a receipt to expense it. He responded “you booked it through a booking agency?” And indicated we get our receipt from there.

The staff was unorganized the hotel was dirty. The furniture in my room was broken. Nobody cleaned our room all weekend. We had to go get our own towels and toiletries from the desk. I would not suggest this place to my worst enemy.

The room was nasty didn't stay and didn't receive your discount charged full price 2 nites 216.00 won't refund one night says we stayed but we enjoyed holiday inn...trying get refund since we left Fri the 18
