Motel 6 Niantic, CT - New London

They took 11.50 off my card for a charge of a microwave in the handicapped room they gave us, without telling me….. I’m not handicapped. The air conditioning did not work in the room and it was 90 degrees out. I went to the front desk and they kindly moved us to a proper room. But the new room has no refrigerator, or microwave. I would love a refund!

We stay here a few times a year. It is an economy motel with just the basics. Normally, we find our rooms to be clean. This time, the room was very dirty - especially the floors. Only got one face cloth and it was dirty with hair tangled in it. Our key also got deactivated and when we went to reactivate it, the staff person did not ask for any ID or verifying information before doing so. Very insecure.

Mattresses were poor and lumpy, no hot water at arrival for shower, good sized and clean room.

The microwave inside was disgusting . Peeling inside on the walls. Couldn’t use it. The refrigerator had plastic on the side. The room smelled musty and mildew.

No shampoo, and the smallest soap bar I ever saw,and no tissues. Outside walkway was crumbling in many places

The room had an overwhelming smell of perfumery flowers from the cleaning supplies. The a/c heater didn't work only to blow air and no heat. When I complained, my room was switched and I was given extra blankets. I was satisfied with the switch and had a good night's sleep. There was only coffee in the lobby in the AM. Only powdered creamer was served. not good.

This is the worst motel 6 I have ever been to (and I’ve been in many). It took 3 different rooms to get into one and stay. The first room was already occupied when I walked in!! The second room had no heat, and the third one (the one I stayed in) was disgusting. Hair on walls and drain of shower mirror had splash marks all over it, cobwebs hanging from curtain rods. The beds were so bad my daughter and I both woke up in pain every morning!!!

Disregard for maintenance - flashing bathroom light, needed to be changed. Sink faucet sprayed water, got wet every time you turned it on... condition of sink, very old. Simple maintenance issues that could or should've been reported, how could housekeeping not notice the issues. The room was supposed to be non-smoking and reeked of cigarette smoke. Sinus headache all night. disappointing and didn't meet the reviews we read prior to booking this room.

Excellent,they make sure if we need anything. They go above and beyond. Great staff.
