I hope to never stay here again, and will be requesting that the US Department of State take this hotel off their recommended list for official business. The staff are, frankly, lazy. I am currently here for roughly a month for work. Initially they attempted to put me in a room on the 8th floor which obviously had not been used in quite some time. The Air Conditioning did not work, there was no toilet paper, many of the lights did not work, the door would not close unless it was slammed, I did not have hot water, no towels in the room, and the refrigerator did not work. I requested a new room and was initially told there were no other rooms available. It wasn't until myself and the group I was with all threatened to leave that several rooms on the 5th floor magically became available. At the restaurant, service takes much longer than it should. Generally you need to flag down the staff yourself in order to receive any service. Even then they will regularly take 30 minutes or more to do something as simple as bringing a drink or check when the restaurant is empty. Make sure to check your bill and take pictures of it. They will regularly try to add additional items to your bill if you aren't aware of the exchange rate. If you charge anything to your room, take a picture of the check and compare it to what you are actually charged, as they will attempt to add items to your check after the fact and claim it was what you signed for. I spent almost an hour arguing this with hotel staff, as they tried to charge me for meals and drinks at the pool on a day where I was gone from the hotel the entire day. They only corrected this when I demanded that they pull up their security camera footage to prove I had been at the pool. Another member of my party had meals charged to his room without a name and signature that obviously wasn't his, yet they refused to drop them from the bill. The restaurant manager was called inside and claimed he personally saw him have these meals and saw him sign for them. Another member of our group who does not drink, was charged for drinks and they refused to drop them from his bill. The cleaning staff will regularly skip aspects of their work. My room has never actually been cleaned during my entire stay. They replace the towels, make the bed, and empty the trash. Occasionally they will remember to replace toiletries. No vacuuming or actual cleaning. My refrigerator does not work, and this has not been corrected despite two request. The drains in the bathroom drain extremely slowly, to the point that I have to take showers as quickly as possible to avoid them overflowing. The hot water pot provided in the room had old water or tea in it that was growing mold when I first occupied the room. I regularly find bugs in the room as well. The showers have two temperatures, hot and cold. There is no in between. Either it is too hot to stand under, or it is ice cold. The internet is limited to 5gb per individual login. Once

Oversized fruit basket The equipment in the room is faulty. The extra bed is expensive, but only one mattress is on the ground. It doesn't feel very good. There are many types of breakfast but few vegetarian options.

Stayed for two days, the comments are the same as before: the free shuttle service is very convenient; although in the French-speaking area, the hotel staff's English is not bad; the room size and facilities are OK, the air-conditioner remote control buttons are Chinese; the first floor Restaurant steak is not bad

Ouagadougou is a calm city. You don't see lots of people in a hurry going somewhere as in many of the cities I have visited. Tje city is full of bikes known locally as 'Moto'. What fascinated me is the high number of women bike/scooter riders. They ride just as the men with confidence, agility, zooming past each other while also taking care of each other. The women were either going to ffice, moving business merchandise or ferrying kids to and from school. The women surely are liberated Ouaga
