The resort was amazing. But the billing and charges - not so much. The resort was beautiful and comfortable. Our family immediately decided that we must make this a yearly stay. Upon checking in, they put a hold of $150 PER NIGHT for incidentals that they said could go towards the parking, resort fees, food, bar fees (2 night stay =$300). With the resort fees, county taxes, parking, ect - your looking at about $70 per day ontop of your original booking fees. We billed a few drinks to our room - so after checking out, our charges totaled $281.93. The hotel processed the charges to my bank of $281.93 but also placed an additional hold of $431.93 - which oddly was exactly $150 over our checkout invoice. Mind you this was over Christmas vacation so a lot of spending was going on. This additional hold of $431.93, caused my checking account to go into negative and I incured overdraft charges due to this mistake. I tried calling the hotel multiple times, where they transferred me to their accounting department. I was sent to voicemails and never received a call back. The hold was cancelled and after calling my bank, they reversed the overdraft charges. Ultimately this was a huge hassle. We loved our stay and would like to make it a yearly tradition. Just have mixed feelings. Would be nice if a manager reached out to make things right.. I will be sure to use a credit card next time. Also, please list these added fees on your listings ($36 a night for self parking - ect
