We arrived an 1 hr 1/2 for a funeral at nearby crematorium - greeted by friendly staff and beautiful surroundings. Utilised loo and had coffees. Returned for wake nothing was too much, food was lovely and Jay was particularly attentive - thx

Attended meetings here and stayed overnight. The rooms were very large and well decorated and kept with good in room facilities. I used the small on site gym which was nice to have after long days sat in meetings. The evening meal was exceptional and the food options during the meeting a very high standard, normally meeting lunch food is pretty standard and easy but this was high quality and well varied. Definitely the nicest food I’ve had at a meeting! Staff were polite and friendly, especially the Reception staff who I had more interactions with.

Not recommended based on our recent stay. Didn't get the room we had reserved but instead initially shown an inferior room that was unsuited due to stairs in and then again starts up to a very small bathroom. Ended up with a disabled room the walking shower proved better but the shower hose was leaking everywhere; the staff were quick to repair it the next day. Stayed for 3 days, enjoyed the wonderful breakfast and pleasant and helpful restaurant staff. Would likely not return as seemed more suited to weddings and events guests since the hotel gives them preferential treatment.

First time visiting this hotel, and I was not disappointed. A very relaxed atmosphere, quiet and peaceful..lunch was truly amazing, the club sandwich was delicious, if you order this item make sure you’re hungry.. great service, wonderful staff . I will definitely recommend this lovely hotel

We booked afternoon tea for Mothers Day. We were all extremely impressed with the level of customer service and quality of the afternoon tea. All the staff were very helpful, welcoming and polite and we loved our afternoon there. We were phoned prior to our booking and after explaining my mum is nearly 91 and can get a bit overwhelmed around a lot if people we were seated in the Main Hall which was perfect. A beautiful, interesting building and we will definitely return.

Booked Woodlands Hotel for my mother’s wake but we also had a private dining room in the evening and stayed at the hotel the night of the funeral The wake was organised by Amy in the events department who was brilliant from start to finish. Amy made sure the whole event run smoothly she was efficient, organised, kind and very understanding The wake itself went really well and the room and food were lovely we chose the afternoon tea which went down really well with our guests Special mention goes to Alexi who looked after our room she was lovely and worked really hard taking care of everything Our private dining room was perfect and the food was very nice and it was great to relax after a fairly stressful day Hotel rooms were clean modern and comfortable and breakfast was good too with plenty of choice I can highly recommend Woodlands Hotel it’s a lovely setting and conveniently close to Randals crematorium Best of all were the staff at Woodlands Park from the reception staff to waiters and bar staff they were all extremely professional polite and friendly Thank you for making a very sad and difficult day into a special memory and a great send off for our dear mum

Impressive historical building with beautiful panelling in reception . Attended a Birthday bash . Food was to a high standard with excellent service from friendly staff . Jay and Tony do an excellent job running the bar area . Would recommend .
