On arrivant staff very busy.Room 2nd floor no lift, and no complimentary bottle of water (in spite of weather in 30's) or coffee/ tea facilities . Also although it looks like there is a "restaurant" quickly told that it DOESN'T belong to hotel ??!! Different owner. Had a problem with my reservation....almost found my stuff taken out of my room . I had paid 517€ for 4 nights however for the extra night I was charged 175€ ...a disgrace.im a single lady of a certain age what choice did I have at 5pm ?

A great stay, off season so very quite. We got what we paid for. Breakfast was good.

We stayed for one night as a family of 4 in the last week of July. The hotel was clean, and maintained to an acceptable standard but rooms were a little dated, but air conditioning was good. The quadruple room would benefit from a fridge, and from bigger pillows as we found one small square pillow was insufficient. What really made our stay unpleasant was the noise from the corridor and surrounding rooms. The carpets are very thin, and footsteps from above resonate and kept us awake most of the night. Sadly we slept very little as there were noises and showers/toilets flushing until all night. The staff were polite and friendly and food in restaurant in evening was good. The breakfast was ok, but when the orange juice ran out and was refilled, it was replaced it was warm one that was undrinkable. Whilst our experience was not horrendous, it was not great and would not recommend, but some of the issues could be easily rectified like keeping juice refills cold in the fridge etc

If I only spoke of the staff, this hotel is the most friendly, client-oriented hotel I've stayed in since Hawaii and I would give it a 5+ The rooms are clean and relatively newly done and the air-conditioning is well placed over the door in the little corridor in front of the shower room, meaning it doesn't blow directly on you into the main part of the room. On the other hand, there is no elevator. And while I don't mind running up & down 2 flights of stairs (it's a bit like home), it's very hard lugging up and then down a heavy suitcase. And there are no single rooms. A single must pay the price of a double, again being disfavored for not being part of a two-some. Yet, this room was in fact only comfortable for one, there being almost nowhere to put a large suitcase other than on the floor (giving up walking area) or on the desk. The hanging closet of about 50cm has only one hanger (although the staff will do their best to get you more if you ask) and there are only shelves but no drawers. Its location offers both the best and the worst of all worlds: Just across the street is a miles-long sandy beach; you only need to grab a towel & go. On the other hand, it is more than 2km from the main town area, and which makes for a very long walk there and back with almost nothing between the hotel and the port. Thus some sort of transportation becomes necessary for those who want to go out. But there is, about a km down the road, a bike renting shop which is very friendly. It is well worth renting a bike for your stay to go into town and back comfortably. And the hotel keeps one of its garages special for bikes so no worrying about leaving the bike when it is not in use. Besides, the Herault offers wonderful bike trails along the Lez and in the marsh areas and well worth taking the flat, well-laid-out paths around the area and even into Montpelier. If you have a car, there is parking at the hotel, but then the problem becomes parking in the port area when you arrive. The perfect solution for me was taking time at the beach every day and bicycling into town for at least one meal/day. While I definitely enjoyed my stay and appreciated the helpfulness of the staff, I've taken off a star for room size, the lack of an elevator and distance from the town.

First, the hotel is on an extended straight street paralleling the shoreline, but about 2 miles from any services. Most of the street is occupied by residential homes fronting the beach; all beaches are accessible in cuts between houses. To obtain services, one is obliged to drive into town, where parking is abysmally in short supply. There is limited (6-7 cars) free parking behind the hotel, with about 20 paid spaces across the street (24-hr rates are 8 Euros). The entire resort area has gone parking-meter crazy. To add insult to injury, the 'ocean view' which we paid for turned out to be fragmented by buildings facing the hotel. Next, the fact that the hotel has an attached restaurant open until 1 AM means that sleep is impossible until then. The revelers on the verandah below are boisterous and noisy for upstairs guests staying on the ocean side. Surprisingly, the restaurant personnel seem oblivious to the significance of the beach in relation to takeout food. The restaurant - open all day - makes NO provision for takeout, except for 2 small paper cones of fried calamari or fried shrimp, and NO provision/permission for removing any drinks containers - cans or bottles - from the premises. None whatsoever. Finally, our biggest surprise was the dearth of towels. Specifically, we asked for extra towels to lie on on the beach. This was rejected out of hand, as were my offers to RENT or BUY towels. Hard to recommend HdM, in spite of courteous staff.

Petit déjeuner horrible, a fuir absolument. Dommage …..
