First time staying at the campsite... and you have to remember its a campsite. The downside was the ONE hour checkin after a tiring flight. Checkin overly complex with repeat paperwork, pass, wristbands, keys, deposit etc. The accommodation bungalow was very clean but very dated. The upside is that this is a beautiful location right on the lake which is breathtaking. The site feels very safe and very relaxed. Mixture of bungalows, chalets, campervans and even a hotel. Several restaurants, a bar, supermarket, pharmacy, vegetable shop, souvenir shop. The kids pool is a highlight with slides, lifeguards, ice cream, drinks pool side. Nightlights entertainment for the kids. Remember, it's a campsite. Transport very good via camp mini train to local village Pescheria, good bus service to Verona and taxi called from reception to Simione. Food and drinks are cheap enough with 8 - 11 euro for most meals. Drinks about 3.50 for a pint. Supermarket has mostly everything you need and Aldi is about 850 meters away. The campsite life takes a day or two to get used to but it's a much slower pace than busy Costa Del Sol experience. Very friendly and was getting busier as we were leaving so I could imagine being hectic in high Summer. Remember, it's a campsite. Highly recommend day trips esp if you have older kids who may become bored. No WiFi in my experience so make sure you have roaming plan. Finally, I would have stayed longer if I could but I would prefer better accommodation - but remember... its a campsite.

This is NOT a review of Bella Italia Campsite (which is brilliant) but Happy Camp, advertising on Air B & B for Premium (yeah, right) Mobile Home. This was not the first time of us staying at mobile home but the first time when: - We had to pay 50 Euro for sheets and 10 Euro for one set of towels. We came by plane to Italy and were hoping to enjoy a stress free stay but it wasn’t like that. - We had to pay 100 Euro deposit for cleaning. We were given a receipt but no one told us to keep it in order to receive the deposit back. Then when it came to getting it back they asked for it and we needed to frantically look for it, otherwise we would not get it back. - We had an inspection to check the level of cleanliness (done by 2 guys!) a few hours before vacating the room. We left the room exactly as we found it but the stress associated with ‘passing the test’ was totally unnecessary and we did not appreciate the service and the experience. - We had been asked to sweep and wipe the floor. We always leave accommodation in the cleanest possible state but the threat of losing the deposit was unpleasant and expecting tenants to wipe the floor is ridiculous. - We had ONE roll of paper for family of 4 for 3 days. We needed to buy toilet roll in a nearby market even though we asked staff for some additional rolls. It was never supplied. - We were asked by staff to leave all left overs on the table so that staff could use it. How cheeky! I asked for 2 rolls of paper and I didn’t get it and you had the audacity to look into the fridge and tell me to leave the food, tea, coffee and any unconsumed goods behind. Seriously? We binned some and took everything else away. - We had no TV or wifi. Overall, if you want budget stay where you pay basic fare and then you need to pay extras for everything – here’s your place. Happy Camp is The Ryanair of Air B&B. You are lured into cheap offer and then end up spending twice that much. If you appreciate respect, hassle free holidays where you arrive into a fully equipped accommodation and kind hosts – keep looking. Wherever we went before there were toiletries, clean towels, tea, coffee, sugar and some biscuits and the prices were comparable (for example in Paris). We are frequent travelers and have stayed in a number of Air B&B locations and mobile homes too, and we have never experienced such bizarre service. Would NOT return.

We went for a meal after a cinema visit. The restaurant was busy and quite noisy, but the service was efficient and the food well cooked. Soup and calamari starters were excellent and the risotto was good, but had no calamari in it as promised. I mentioned this to the waitress but she shrugged it off. When we were paying I asked if she had found out why and she just said no. I would have rated our visit higher if there had been better follow up on this query.

Bella Italia is over subscribed and the pools are run down and too small for the numbers on camp. This is not a 4/5 star campsite. The bars are exoborent for drinks. This whole campsite needs a face lift.Very shoddy....

Quiet in the off season but I can imagine it being very busy in the summer. Great location for visiting different towns around the lake. Accommodation was clean but a bit worn/dated.

The check in experience was quick and friendly. We easily found our bungalow and there was plenty of car parking a short walk away. The bungalow was clean and had everything we needed for a base to explore Lake Garda. During our stay mould did start to appear near to the window in the bedroom. As we stayed in the off season we found the park to be quite quiet. We were the only ones on our row of bungalows for a few days but then a group arrived who were very noisy you could hear them flushing the toilet next door, signing Christmas songs in the middle of the night and playing Uno at 2am. The shop on site had any essentials you may need and the terrace restaurant was good for dinner. The ice cream was reasonably priced at the ice cream place on site.

We’ve been here twice now and the rooms always have a weird soggy smell. When we got here the mobile home was relatively clean but nothing special. As we were leaving we cleaned the house like every normal guest should, but before we could leave we were asked to do a thorough cleaning of the house, even though they have paid housekeepers, otherwise we couldn’t get our 50€ safety deposit back. I personally find this to be very bad business practice and unless you have no other choice I wouldn’t recommend the mobile homes. Otherwise the campsite is fine but the attitude towards paying customers is not what I would expect from a campsite with normally fine reviews.

Just come back from 7 nights here and this is an honest review! I am a travel agent and got a fab deal for half term! We travel a lot as a family and this is the first of this kind abroad. Camp site, not the best kept and accommodation very basic. Beds are hard but we slept very well considering. However we booked this on location and price and we go what we paid for. The main resort of Peschiera del Garda is only 20 minutes stroll, with some fab choices of restaurants which we eat out every night. The views are fab and is a lovely resort. We hired a bike one day from the bike shop onsite who are all so friendly. The other direction from the resort is Sirmione which we biked to with our 6 and 14 year old. Great little bike ride. We used Bella Italia as a base and travelled to Venice, Milan and Verona as well as getting a car too. So our days we spent our exploring Italy and this place is perfect for doing this. On an evening at Bella Italia we watched a couple of nights entertainment which our 6 year old enjoyed, the bouncy castle play park was fab and the rides on site - which was not expensive. A few evenings we went to the onsite cocktail bar - The staff here are so friendly and kind. Overall this resort isn't 5*, not luxury but a perfect budget campsite which is perfect for exploring Italy! We as a family wouldn't complain for what we paid and we did get what we paid for! There are plenty of places in Italy who offer higher standards, but these do come with a much higher price tag so putting this into context - Your holiday is what you make it and we had a fab time! If you love balcony vibes & BBQs this is also a great place to go!

what a nice experience with a very acceptable budget, the swimming pools are great and clean, the restaurants are very good quality and again not too expensive. The apartment also was very good and comfortable.
