Yundingxuan Hotel

Traveling with friends, I specifically chose this hotel before our trip. The location is excellent, right in the heart of Xidajie, just a few minutes' walk from Rishengchang. Staying in this ancient Ming and Qing dynasty building with its seven courtyards felt like stepping back in time. If you're looking for an immersive historical experience with attentive service in Pingyao Ancient City, Yun Ding Xuan is an incredibly high-value choice.

An absolutely amazing hotel! The owner was incredibly warm, friendly, and attentive. Since it was off-season, they even upgraded our room for free. The room was spotlessly clean, tidy, and super spacious. The location is fantastic too, just about a five-minute walk from the West Gate, making it super convenient to get to all the attractions in the ancient city. The entire hotel is actually an old residence, giving it a wonderful historical ambiance. Highly, highly recommend it!

Traveling with my baby, I wanted to experience the most authentic side of Pingyao Ancient City, so I chose this century-old courtyard, and I was incredibly surprised! The owner was really nice and upgraded us to the same suite that actor Zhang Songwen stayed in. The room was very clean, and the environment was excellent, with a total of seven courtyards. The front desk even had discount coupons for many popular internet-famous restaurants, which was super great! I'll definitely stay at Yundingxuan again when I come back to Pingyao~

Yundingxuan Inn is the perfect place to stay when visiting Pingyao. This historic inn, with its traditional seven-courtyard layout, offers an authentic and photogenic glimpse into old Jin merchant culture. Its location is unbeatable, right on West Street in the ancient city. You can easily walk to attractions like the County Government Office and Rishengchang Exchange Shop, making exploring the old town incredibly convenient. The rooms are clean and tidy, and the back courtyard provides a peaceful and private escape. The butler service is exceptional – attentive and thoughtful. They offer free pick-up and drop-off, help plan your itinerary, and ensure a worry-free and comfortable stay. It's incredibly good value for money. If you're coming to Pingyao, Yundingxuan is my top recommendation!

Pingyao Yundingxuan truly exceeded our expectations! This ancient courtyard, a former Shanxi merchant's residence, has an incredible atmosphere, perfect for amazing photos. The location is superb, right on West Street in the heart of the old town, within walking distance of 'Impression Pingyao' and all major attractions – super convenient for sightseeing and dining. The hotel offers free pickup and drop-off at the city gate, helps with luggage, and provides thoughtful and attentive service. They patiently explained sightseeing routes and even assisted with discounted bookings for 'Impression Pingyao' tickets, saving us time and effort. The rooms are clean and tidy, with soft and comfortable bedding. The courtyard is quiet and tranquil, making it a very reassuring stay for both elderly guests and children. The amenities are comprehensive, and the breakfast is authentic. It offers incredible value for money. It's definitely the top choice for family trips to Pingyao. Highly recommended; we'll definitely stay here again next time we visit Pingyao.

The hotel is located within the ancient city walls, which made getting around super easy. The room was really comfortable; my kid even said it was the best night's sleep they've ever had, and they loved it. The front desk lady was also incredibly thoughtful, giving us great tips for our itinerary and being very patient. We were very satisfied.

I got to do my favorite Jin merchant-style travel photoshoot right here in the courtyard, and the photos turned out amazing – truly a fantastic experience! The night view was also incredibly beautiful, with red lanterns creating a wonderful ambiance. It was a very satisfying stay, truly a feast of culture and history.

During the May Day holiday, our family of three visited Pingyao Ancient City, and we were extremely satisfied with our stay at the Yundingxuan Hotel, located right within the city walls. The service was incredibly attentive, the facilities were well-equipped, and the rooms were spotlessly clean. The entrance is a travel photography shop, but once you step inside, you're greeted by a magnificent seven-courtyard complex, full of antique charm and character. The breakfast provided by the hotel was also very rich, nutritious, and comprehensive.
