Perfect change of pace for this business traveler. Charming, well appointed inn located near the center of a lovely small town (with plenty of dining options a short walk away!). This property may appeal to you if you like quaint, historic lodgings. While the building may be historic, the rooms are modern and comfortable; also very clean. The main house and your room access code is provided to you via text from the owner on your check-in day. Owner is very responsive to your needs or if you have any questions. Free parking on the premises. My only comments/feedback are the lack of a writing desk (for laptop business work); somewhat dim lighting in room; and lack of a comfortable chair (granted, space is too small for a larger chair). Overall, I enjoyed my stay.

This is a fantastic place to stay! The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are well-designed and peaceful, and everything is SO COMFY. The hotel and rooms are super clean, and the shower is amazing. The location is great-right next to downtown and even a park. Justin is quick to respond when you need him, and check in/out is so easy. I’ll definitely stay here again! I can’t recommend this place enough!

Overall The Plainfield Inn was a great value for the cost. We spent a weekend there for a wedding and the room was clean and well stocked with the necessities: soap, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer, ironing board, Kuerig, and a mini fridge. The beds were a little small, but given the historical nature of the building they had to be to accommodate the room size (at least the one we were in). The room was also impeccably clean. The owner, Justin, was friendly and helpful. Check in was a breeze. I’d definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

This Inn allowed a pet rescue organization, transporting animals to new homes, to pull up under the awning for the night, when they had to stay for the night due to extreme weather. The plans were to drive straight to destination, but wanted to keep precious cargo safe. This! Businesses like this deserve all of our patronage!
