Villas Puerto Rubicon Reviews

We have just returned home from another fantastic week staying at Villas Puerto Rubicon. The Villas are in a great location, just 5 minutes walk to the Marina, where there are plenty of fantastic restaurants (Mumbai Masala, Buenos Aires to name a few). The walk to Playa Blanca is around 20 minutes along the prom with lovely views. The villas are clean, spacious and a home from home. A very friendly man from the office also went out of his way to get us a few hours more in the villa as a late check out. We will be returning for our 4th time next year. Can’t wait.

Was really impressed the villa was well equipped with everything we needed, washer, dishwasher, private plunge pool and a prime location. The gate broke while we were there and was fixed in half an hour it was quiet, the staff were helpful and we will be going again 😁

We had a lovely stay in number 36! The villa was very well equipped with everything we needed. Beds were on the firmer side but perfectly comfortable and the main bedroom has a balcony and chairs that catch the last of the sun each day. Plenty of towels (pool as well as bath towels) which were changed every 4 days along with bedding. The pool was clean and refreshing without being too cold. Good parking and the location is brilliant! Rubicon Marina is definitely the more sophisticated side of playa blanca.

Absolutely love these villas! Stayed in villa 223 it’s 2bed 3 bath super super spacious, we arrived to a nice little welcome package that had water milk tea coffee hot chocolate sugar and a fruit juice. Has bath and pool towels so no need to bring your own! The main bedroom also has a balcony over looking the pool which is lovely in the evening especially if you have kids sleeping. The pool is cold but once you’re in it’s beautiful. The tv have English channels 1 to 5 plus 5 select Free WiFi which was super easy to set up on my phone by creating my own password. Kitchen has everything you need, kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge/freezer Also have a washing machine and dishwasher and both cleaners were supplied plus a list of the time settings for the washing machine Can’t comment on the cleaner as we didn’t need to have the villa cleaned as we kept on top of it while we was here but she did come and ask if we needed anything like toilet roll and fresh towels The villas are around a 20 min stroll to the ***** and 5 mins to the marina, there is a supermarket not even 3 minutes away Honestly cannot wait to come back here! Lovely villa . It was 3 bed with a large bedroom and en-suite . Very clean . Only down side was villa next door was getting work done so was quite noisey . But it didn’t spoil our holiday too much . So close to everything too as in restaurants and shops . Nice pool .

The villa was great. It had everything you would need. The location was excellent, just around the corner from the Dino supermarket and a 5 minute walk to the marina. It was very spacious with two en-suite bathrooms as well as a toilet downstairs. There was an outside area with the washing machine and dishwasher. There were tablets for both that we used. The pool was cold and we only ventured into it twice in the 3 weeks we were there. It may be more inviting during the summer months. There were two sunbeds and a table and chairs in front of the pool. It was lovely to have breakfast outside every morning!! The pool was cleaned regularly during our stay. There were also two towels for the sunbeds. There was a cleaner who came in every 4/5 days and changed the bed sheets and towels. The receptionist in the office was very helpful and we had the use of the courtesy room on our last day which was a real bonus. A few more soft furnishings would be welcome in the living area as well as a few lamps, but these are only suggestions to improve the experience. Overall we had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend the villa. Hopefully we will have the opportunity to return.

We absolutely loved our holiday in this property. It had everything you would need (except an oven glove) Although the kitchen was a little tired looking, the inside was immaculate, bathroom and bedrooms were really large and spacious. Although it didn't have air con is had so many doors at each side of the property it was easy to get the breeze blowing through. The grounds were very well kept and the pool area was just the icing on the cake for us. Large pool, sun loungers with towels, what more can you ask. We arrived quite late in the evening, around 11 pm, to find milk, bread, orange juice and biscuits waiting for us, that was very much appreciated. It is also in a lovely area, we had views of the marina and the sea, very close to local supermarkets and a short walk to the marina. The main resort was easy to get to and had some fabulous restaurants. We had car hire so a perfect day for us was a lovely morning exploring the island and an afternoon relaxing by our pool. We only visited reception once during our stay and the manager there was so helpful and friendly. We have visited the island before but not this particular area or accommodation, I can honestly say it won't be our last visit. I would definitely recommend if you want peace and quiet but like to have shops, restaurants and lively resort life close by.

Perfect choice for a pre-Christmas getaway Everything was perfect, the welcome package of juice, water, milk, biscuits was a nice touch The villa was very clean and everything you needed was there ready for you Really quite and relaxing area We were there 11 nights and linens and towels were changed twice during our stay, washer and cleaning products there ready if you wished to use them Loved our stay and will definitely going back again soon

Couple tips to start with make sure you insist on having a duplex the single story properties aren’t worth the money we asked to be moved from the single story property as we felt it didn’t offer value for money at all and needed updating But tbh once we were moved to a larger villa we were happy although the property could do with a little bit of tlc it had everything you could need and we really enjoyed the holiday,the villas are in walking distance of the shops,supermarkets and bars and restaurants,this is our 3rd visit to the island and feel for us renting a villa is ideal,our villa like others have a pool but they are literally freezing this time of year (dec) the sea is warmer,so bring a wet suit for the pool.if you fancy eating out I would make sure you book for an evening meal,if you are vegan make sure to do your research first as it’s hard to find somewhere that will not just offer grilled vegetables and chips,arrabells on the marina have options (budda bowls and a burger) and all the Indians will accommodate, there are also supermarkets up the road that have a nice selection of vegan foods and a heath shop in town sorry can’t remember the names. Also another tip The key only comes out the door when horizontal

Great location but villa 36 def needs updating. Kitchen well stocked with dishwasher tabs, cleaning spray and washing machine tabs. Everything you could need although needs more sockets as you can't use the microwave,kettle and Toaster at same time. Living area good and outside very good. Downstairs bathroom lights needs updating so really dark in the there. Main bathroom has had a repair on the shower rail which is being held up with a chain, resulting in the shower curtain not being able to close properly and resulting in the floor getting soaked each time. Tried a bath but there is a bigger leak when draining. No stoppers in the sinks and rust on the marbles behind taps. Bedroom furniture very basic and needs updating. Could hear next door neighbours talking and snoring the wall. Also headboard noise each time the neighbours moved. Upon arrival you collect keys from a key box which was easy. However 6 keys so trying to find the right keys was a bit different so perhaps they could be numbered or colour coded? Location is fantastic and would recommend if the villa was updated.

It was nice the rooms are nice and big quiet on the modern side,but there are ants everywhere in the bin in the bathroom.outside is extremely nice medium size pool and some palm trees the are 6 deck chairs were we stayed they are very comfortable and a big umbrella if your not a fan if the heat. Would recommend

The property was great and in a great location near the Marina, communication was brilliant and towels and cleaning was an unexpected benefit. My only complaint is no air conditioning but i wouldnt let that stop me returning. We had a great relaxing holiday.

Arrived late in the evening keys to villa 27 had been left in the key box as we entered the villa it was Dark, Gloomy and in need of refurbishment the bathroom and bedrooms where out of the 1990s we spent 5 mins looking around the villa and booked ourselves another hotel that’s how bad it was!!!!! The photos on their website and ONTHEBEACH website look nothing like the villa we had seen….

A wonderful experience. This is our second year returning to Villas Puerto Rubicon and we are already planning our third visit. We have truly fell in love with this place. The properties are fantastic and offer a real home from home experience. Everything you could possibly require is catered for, right down to the welcome pack in the kitchen. Property and pool was cleaned twice during our ten day visit. Having the privacy of your own pool is a fantastic advantage. The location of these properties are ideal with the local supermarket, restaurants, cafes and bars located a short distance away. Dealing with Ana and Denis has also been a pleasure. They are consummate professionals who are always ready to help with any issue you may have. All in all, a real 10/10 experience. We cannot wait to return again.
