Porto Trindade Hotel Reviews

Very clean and central hotel, you can walk to the center and bars and restaurants, right in front of the hotel is the Trindade metro stop from which you can go to various points of the city and other nearby towns such as the Vila do Conde outlet, also from the metro you can go to Gaia and its port wine cellars. Correct breakfast and very friendly staff.

Hotel located near one of the main metro stations in Porto, where most of the lines meet to get around the city. A ten minute walk away is the nightlife area, while the main tourist attractions of the historic center are about a 20 minute walk away. Right breakfast, without infamy and without praise. I was assigned a room on the first floor which gave access to the roof terrace (very poorly maintained) on the ground floor of the hotel to which the other adjacent rooms on the first floor also had access. I would have preferred a room on a higher floor, I didn't feel free to sleep at night with the balcony open. The hotel entrance is unclear from the street as there is no sign indicating it but only the name written next to the entrance. Overall a good facility, but not 4 star.

A perfect welcome, we were able to drop off our luggage at the concierge desk before checking in. A glass of port was offered to us in the evening. And fresh water is available at reception. The top room.

had no idea what to expect. This was the central hotel for an Ebike trip for 10 people. Location was good; just slightly north of the City Hall and a 10 minute walk to the River. Other than a handful of homeless guys making their "home" nearby, it was a good locaation, clean, modern, terrific breakfast, free drink (of port) on arrival, and a 3 block walk to the bike company's facilities. Room worked very well, not much of a view; AC worked well, plenty of hot water. Overall very pleased and can recommend this highly unless your personal needs require a different location.

Stayed here as part of an EasyJet holiday with the hotel rated as 4*. If you have booked this hotel please go with a great deal of caution. The room we had for a week had a combined storage capacity of 1 drawer and 4 coat hangers in a wardrobe for a weeks clothing. The room is alright if you just stopping one or two nights not for any longer. Don't gat a front room the rad is very busy and noisy. The breakfast is a shambles with no control over how many residents had eaten or how many still to to eat and on several days they ran out of food with no scrambled eggs or juices missing from the very poor selection and on the last day no fresh baguette as they had run out. Its a very convenient location for public transport but just outside the hotel people in tents and vagrants all around. No outside areas to relax and if you want to spend some time in the hotel you can sit in the bar area but it does not open until 5pm It is at best a 2/3 star so please consider this before booking. I probably made the mistake of not reading reviews before I booked so please read this.

Absolutely fantastic! This hotel is a true gem and is very highly recommended. Next to the city centre and the Trindade metro station. It gives you direcct access to Porto airport. Staff -reception, cleaners and breakfast assistants- were all super friendly and polite, always willing to help you and answer you questions! Room was great, on the eight floor, quiet and very spacious. It was cleaned almost every day! The only drawback was the pillows-please chnage them or add two different types of pillows. Breakfast was rich and included options for every taste. I am definitely going back! Extra tip: Porto is beautiful!

The best hotel in Porto! I cannot remember the correct number of visit that i have for this hotel, however I always recall that it is the staff who makes an hotel, and they make you feel at home! Here you are extremely looked after. The rooms are extremely clean, you have a lovely breakfast and a smile from all the staff. The location is perfect and right next to Trindade Station that can lead you to anywhere in the city, and in an out to the airport. I highly recommend the hotel and my special regards to ALL the staff , Ruben, Maria Jose , Raquel, Xana are all 5*.

2nd time here - beds still as hard as previous so star still deducted. Could do with moving on the street sleepers , bit off putting on the walk up but didnt bother u either. Great choice for breakfast and staff friendly n welcoming, èspecially those in breakfast room.. Recommend

Jan 2020 -- Good hotel& location next to trindade metro stop. Good selection for breakfast. Staff friendly. Only deducted a star as the beds are way too hard for my preference. Returned October 23. Same score / comments as above - beds still hard for personal preference. Recommend for everything else, cleanliness, location and staff.

Ideal location approx 100 metres uphill from front of Trindade metro station. Which is excellent station for the direct to and from airport run. Probably the best choice station. Not much else any further up the hill from the hotel. Other good benefits are local supermarket next door which could do with the local begger being removed ? and a few eating places not too far away. Also two fabulous cake shops An expensive burger restraunt which has happy hour. Staff were mostly excellent but limited beer ie just the one bottled serviced and its a small bar tucked away rear of ground floor. . Nice Breakfast was exactly the same daily but a good choice and only got crowded when hotel was full. Single lift was just adequate for all 9 floors. Breakfast is on minus one floor. Cleanliness and maid service perfect. From the hotel it is an interesting fifteen minutes walk all downhill to the Cathedral and lots of activity where the main Bus excursions start their circles of this very touristy City. Only the Big yellow bus circles reasonably close to the hotel. It is also the most popular.. Sadly the building of the new Pink underground line is very negative feature for a while . Certainly nothing to worry about in this hotel which was quiet quiet but visiabilty from rear windows was uninteresting with some building work and we learned that it does have a possible limited food menu on our last day. Lasagne?. Recomended.

Hotel is in the best convinient area close to historic center, right to Metro Trindade… Close to every attractions, you can walk/ take a bus/ metro if you have the Andante card which you can get at the airport tourism office. Rooms not luxurious but comfi enough eith the complimentaries.. Helpful, friendly frontdesk.. Breakfast is satisfactory.. value/ price is ok.. Portuguese people are friendly, helpful for those seeking information.. I would certainly recommend Porto Trindade Hotel Thank you Binnaz Ay

The Trindade was perfect for our Porto short break. Our room (406) was quite and spacious, we slept well in the comfortable beds, particuarly after all the walking each day. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet, on first appearance the breakfast area appears small but we never had a problem getting a table thanks to the hard working staff who turn around empty tables very quickly. Most of our interaction was with Bruno on reception, we enjoyed his sense of humour and appreciated his excellent advice on places to visit, the metro system and restaurant's. We purchased the 15 euro 72 hour andante tour at the Sao Bento railway station ticket office. We mainly used the yellow line to the local stations just to save some walking time. We would recommend also going on the green line to Bolhao station which leads straight into the famous Bolhao Market which is well worth visiting. The other good thing on the 72 hour andante tour card was that it includes the train journey from Trindade metro station which is a few minutes from the hotel to the airport. We had three nights in Porto, in hindsight we could have done with at least another day, however that is an excuse to visit Porto again, this is an excellent short break destination.

I loved staying at this hotel - Staff were so friendly & helpful. Ana & Joanna were so helpful - couldn’t do more even ringing my Transfer company to confirm pick up. Bedroom was spotless and cleaned everyday, by lovely staff, in fact I did “put do not disturb” sign up because I didn’t need new towels & bed linen every day:). save effort & environment!! Breakfast - wee bit “hit and miss”. I had it 9am plus. A Fab selection of fresh fruit, drinks and pastries also warm food but one morning there was no fruit & not replenished another morning there was no scrambled eggs left (not replenished) and the streaky bacon was missing another morning!! Could be grilled for longer - not crispy! The girls worked very hard clearing the tables/dishes but did not seem to be aware of the lack of food - maybe a good idea to get up early!!! Otherwise great hotel - directly opposite the train/metro station!!

Great location for the metro either for the airport or for the centre and bridge. Nice clean hotel, good breakfast - great for a city break. Good bars and restaurants 5 mins walk away.
