Hotel Conca d’oro is a beautiful hotel with breathtaking views. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. We were lucky enough to be given a room upgrade upon arrival. We were given a deluxe room. The room was extremely clean, and our beds were always made, and new towels and toiletries were put out for us upon return to our room. There are lots of steps to climb (105) to get to the hotel, which can be difficult, especially on a really hot day.

We had a great time at this hotel. The staff were really helpful and polite. The room was really lovely. We were upgraded for free on arrival. The breakfast was always good. The views from our room and the restaurant were amazing! I would definitely stay here again. There are a lot of steps, and taxis can only stop at the bottom. So be aware that it may not be suitable for people who struggle walking.

Wonderful and beautiful hotelIt’s a 4 star hotel but the service is 5. Be weary, the only way in is up a flight of stairs, but the stay afterwards is totally worth it. They have a gratuity based service to bring your bags up from the entrance which we definitely needed. Even in our lowest priced suite with no balcony, we still had a wonderful view of the sea and a door to view the outside. The free breakfast with restaurant view is also a huge plus. I do wish the hot tub could be heated and stay open late night. I would likely stay here again if I came back.

There's one thing you'll have to accept coming to Positano is cost! Once you wrap your head around that you'll love everything Positano and Conca D'Oro have to offer. From the faultless breakfasts, views, service, rooms and air-conditioning - the hotel has history, but they are maintaining the charm and functionality in perfect balance. Our room had a balcony and jacuzzi, which was lovely for an afternoon aperitivo and dip, and there is nothing like waking up and seeing all of Positano from your doors! The rooms are standard in size, with some having larger bathrooms than others. The staff were focused, but polite. The bellboys running the suitcases up from the street deserve their tips! No way we were dragging bags up those stairs, as the hotel is right at the top of the hill! All in all a great hotel to base yourself when exploring the Amalfi Coast!

We reserved this hotel expecting something extraordinary, but I think is overrated in general. This hotel and most of the hotels in Positano. It has a nice view and is clean with exception of the toilet water that doesn’t smell good. It has Standard food at the restaurant with an standard waiter service. Nothing extraordinary except for the location because Amalfi Coast and Positano have beautiful view all of them from the top of the hill. Is an alternative because its location is at the entrance of Positano ( medium quantity of step if compared with others hotels), but is always space to look for other alternatives that include another amenities for the price.

The views from the Terrace and upper floors, along with the food and restaurant staff were excellent. Obviously most places on the Amalfi coast are on a steep hill to get such wonderful views and a few steps we were expecting but not 224 (no lift) so if you’re a bit older and have difficulty with a lot of steps you’d be best advised to think carefully. I don’t know what we’d have done without the exceptionally strong porter who carried our bags for us. Our room was nice enough in itself and the cleanliness was excellent however we did have an initial problem with getting hot water which was sorted quickly but it became clear that the shower sealant was inadequate and water streamed out all over the bathroom floor making it slippery and in need of a large amount of mopping up every time you took a shower. (The hot water seemed to be operated via the shower head not the normal controls so every day is a school day!) The hotel staff said sorry but clearly weren’t surprised. We were on the lower or lowest floor with just a window, the beautiful view being obscured by a large gas or oil cylinder on the roof of a property below. We were a tad disappointed and underwhelmed. Would have given 5 stars for the terrace, views, food and restaurant staff but only 3 for the rest of our experience.

This is our first time in Positano but we’re so happy we booked this hotel! The service is incredible, the staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are beautiful and clean, and there’s a rooftop. The food at the restaurant is excellent and Rosario specifically made our first dinner wonderful. When we come back to Positano, we’ll definitely be staying here again!

Beautiful view and nice deck make up for small size of room. They booked us into a different hotel for the first night because they said they had a toilet issue in our room. The hotel they put us in was better and we would have preferred to stay there in hindsight. Even though they came and transported our bags it was a hassle to not be able to settle in. When we checked in it was clear they weren't going to do anything about that. No discount, no free appetizer or drink... nothing. And, then our toilet ran unless we "jiggled the handle" (pushed the button) and when we mentioned it to them, they just acted like they would fix it and it was no big deal.
Also, not very helpful with local trips or tips. We went to OneFire beach one day and asked help in resrvations and how the water taxi worked and basically ended up contacting them directly ourselves and made all the resrvations.
The bartenders and staff at breakfast were great. The manager and front desk staff, not so much.
