Very old and simple facilities. We do not understand that it has 4 stars, it does not deserve them. We chose it simply to be close to Palau, to take the excursion to La Maddalena. Too expensive for what it offers

One night in this very nice and clean property .. spacious and clean room, nice staff! The sweet and savory breakfast is also good

Loved our 2 night stay here. We wanted somewhere close to the port that would allow us to easily visit La Maddelena and this was it. The hotel is a 25 minute walk from the port (or a 5 min drive). The facilities were good- enjoyed using the pool on our last day. Breakfast was also great. Only issues we had were a faulty toilet, which staff looked into.

We loved our stay in this place. The rooms are super cute. Staff very nice and friendly. We got some welcome drinks which is an unexpected bonus :) Great breakfast with a nice view to the pool. Free parking on site. Everything is super clean and well decorated. You can walk to the town centre but we preferred to drive since it was very hot. We recommend this to anyone staying in Palau.

This is a good place to stay when you are passing through - easy to get to and out of town so easy parking. Pool is ok, restaurant looked nice, staff were extremely friendly, room was clean and comfortable. The only downside was the mattress, which was not great.But overall a good place to stay if you want to explore the surrounding countryside and then want to relax in the evening without the bustle of town.

Booking a 4-star hotel and paying dearly for it only to have the impression upon arrival that you have arrived in a run-down and neglected 2-star hotel. The room was dirty and uncomfortable. We booked a double room and found ourselves with 2 unsteady nearby beds. The room in general was dirty (see also cobwebs), very neglected and with many broken things. It looked like the house in the countryside you use to party with friends. The old bathroom is an understatement, the oxidized and peeling taps which you don't expect in a 4 star hotel. Opening the bathroom window the view of a garbage dump with abandoned pizza bags and boxes. Totally not recommended.

I stayed 2 nights in this property, which they say boasts 4 stars, but in my opinion the stars can't even be seen if you look for them with binoculars 😩 First of all, as regards the rooms, I must say that I found them dark and clean. minimal, the mattress very uncomfortable with the iron springs that could be felt coming out. As for the outdoor pool, I found it dirty. As regards the staff, the behavior of an employee was highlighted who was very rude and not very nice towards customers and in particular towards the group of friends I was with, constantly muttering unpleasant phrases and in a acid. I definitely won't be going back.

Beautiful rustic style structure on the outskirts of Palau, our room with balcony always clean and comfortable, very kind staff, very good breakfast with a wide choice from sweet to savory. The swimming pool is beautiful with spectacular views over the entire valley. Recommended for a pleasant stay in Palau.

We spent 2 nights in this hotel which claims to be a 4 star and got it who knows how! To begin with, we arrived in the early afternoon in the belief that we could take a dip in the pool which we found dirty! We arrive in the room and in the fridge we don't even find a bottle of courtesy water which is always found even in a fourth rate B&B!! The rooms are neglected and the toilet flush barely works!! Up to this point we have tried to be tolerant, but when on the evening of our return we were scolded by an employee because, according to her, we were disturbing despite being far from the rooms, we started to feel a little uncomfortable!! However, we reached the peak of this discomfort the next morning when the same employee who only had Angelico's name, passing by us, exclaimed a vulgar phrase referring to the perfume of a friend of mine, even opening the window! Not only did she later scold the barmaid because, according to her, she shouldn't have made coffee for everyone, perhaps convinced that we hadn't paid them!! In short, an unpleasant experience whose positive note was only the kindness of the girl at the reception and the bar! Not even the director showed professionalism by initially refusing to dialogue with a member of the group who obviously asked for explanations!! To be forgotten never again! Not recommended

My reservation had the name of another structure, when we arrived on site we learned that the hotel had already been under this group for 2 years. How you can give 4 stars to a place like this I can't explain. Hotel completely left to itself. 'abandonment with dawn grass and plants invading the paths. Not to mention the rooms with minimal cleaning and broken accessories never replaced. The climax is reached with the dishes served for dinner, low-level foods cooked as best as possible. The staff that exists, taking away some elements, tries to do the best they can with the few means at their disposal

Although the staff is very friendly and helpful, the rooms and bathroom deserve a facelift. The swimming pool is like the rooms. The sea view from the hotel is very pretty. The breakfast is very average for a 4 star hotel.

Dirty rooms, non-existent services such as a simple electrical socket, terrible bunk bed and always dirty sheets and poorly made beds. Nice pool although small but with mold on the edge of the children's area and the windows always so dirty that it was a shame to take a photo from inside the restaurant. The bar on the other hand has excellent service, good cocktails and a courteous barman. But let's talk about the jewel in the crown: the restaurant!! I don't recommend it to my worst enemy! They presented us all the dishes with "decorations" of balsamic vinegar to mask the smells, it was unbearable! They do not have à la carte menus but have daily menus. Unfortunately we wanted to try: the first was spaghetti with prawns and orange, absolutely inedible (always with a quintal of balsamic vinegar on the side); amberjack main course and courgette cream... full of scales. We took *****s of beef and aubergines from the children and sent the full plates away because the meat was all scraps and nerves and the aubergines seemed to have been boiled rather than baked. A nightmare kitchen experience! Shameful! At breakfast the savory buffet is made up of packaged bread and fontina while for dessert only croissants and crumbled bread are saved, the other desserts are absolutely dry or bland, as far as drinks are concerned there is no bar but everything is dispensed by vending machines (one of which is not working) and obviously the icing on the cake is the fruit juice dispenser full of ants. Absolutely a negative experience

I had the opportunity to stay at the Hotel LH ​​Altamura Palau and, unfortunately, my experience was definitely below expectations. I'll start with the most disconcerting point: I found sheets with obvious blood stains. A situation which alone would have made it difficult to recommend the hotel. The cleanliness of the room in general was terrible, which further compromised my experience. During my stay, the hotel staff were largely absent and when I tried to approach them for clarification or assistance, I found little interest or helpfulness. No one seemed to have clear information or be able to help me. The Wi-Fi, an essential amenity for any traveler, worked intermittently, and when it did work, the connection was slow and unstable. The dining experience at the hotel restaurant was also disappointing. The food was far from appetizing. In terms of accommodation, the rooms were in poor condition: decrepit, with peeling walls and generally unwelcoming. The lack of curtains allowed dawn light to enter the room, disturbing sleep. The furniture was very basic and reminded me of the cheap furniture from Mondo Convenienza. The lack of details such as night lamps was evident and the hairdryer provided was of very low quality. The mattress was extremely uncomfortable, with springs protruding and making sleeping almost impossible. One detail that particularly annoyed me was the fact that we had to repeatedly ask for shower gel, and only after five requests were we given three disposable bottles. The only positive aspect I found during my stay was the restaurant staff. Despite the shortcomings in the food, they were courteous and kind, a stark contrast to the rest of the experience. In conclusion, I cannot recommend the Hotel LH ​​Altamura Palau based on my experience. I sincerely hope that they take this feedback into consideration and make the necessary improvements.
