Everything good as expected. It is rather a hotel without the distinction of other Paradores that are classic in a castle.

The Parador was easy to reach and there was plenty of parking. It is one of the smaller and newer Paradors we’ve stayed at and is well maintained. The staff was friendly. The room was a decent size and nicely furnished. Walking into town and up to the castle, via the stairs, took about 15 minutes. The grout in the shower was in need of a good cleaning.

Stayed one night en route to holiday destination. Good location just off motorway. All good, clean,tidy and good food. Pool was out of service though.The mediaeval village is very close and looks interesting but we didn’t have time to explore.

A very handy hotel for us by its location and a much enjoyed break in our journeys to and from our home in southern Galicia. Modern in style but with a touch of history from the origins of the building. Very quiet location and a good night´s rest guaranteed. The restaurant serves up tasty dinners and the typical hearty Parador breakfasts are always enjoyed.

I have high expectations of paradores. Puebla de Sanabria met my expectations. The receptionist arranged for an on time taxi to get me to the station (see below), and even advised me that an imminent fire alarm was just a drill (I was in the garden reading). I didn't have breakfast, but dinner was very good. The property is just a few minutes from the bridge below the stunning castle. Puebla de Sanabria is a truly lovely village. (Note: I was there on weekdays in early October. I don't know about summer weekends!)
Note that if you arrive on a long distance train, the station is quite far away, there's no sidewalks for much of the way, and I didn't see a taxi coming or going. You need to get a hotel to book one, or do it yourself, in advance. (A lovely resident on my arriving train saw my plight and bailed me out. I am grateful for that.)

Very satisfied with our stay at the Parador de Puebla de Sanabria. Spacious, comfortable and cozy room, with great care and attention to all the details. Tranquility and total silence. Very beautiful views of the town, the mountains and the Castle of the Condes de Benavente. All the staff very friendly and attentive. In the restaurant, good food with local products and unbeatable service from the waiters.

Very good service from both staff and quality of the restaurant/menu. As a point to improve, the heating in the room was excessive, it seemed that the thermostat was not working correctly so the radiators had to be turned off.

Unknown Parador, when we booked it, we didn't know if it was going to live up to a 4-star parador. We had a major surprise. A small but cozy parador with very good facilities. Spacious and clean rooms. The best is the gastronomy that offers spectacular, very attractive and varied with a large quantity on the dishes, the exceptional dining room staff with special mention to Angel who was attentive to us at all times and to all the staff of the inn who were attentive at all times resolving unforeseen events and of course very friendly. We will return with better weather because it is very worth it.
