Honestly, I would not book with Marival emotions Vallarta again, nor in any hotel of its chain, they have been one of the worst family vacations I have had, since we arrived everything was wrong.
1. They gave us the 2 rooms and they were the wrong ones, although the keys they opened belonged to other guests and we had to leave, when we went to reception to clarify the situation, they didn't even ask for an apology.
2. In the room and the corridors we found cockroaches on several occasions.
3. Our room on 3 occasions out of 4 could not be cleaned since at 5 in the afternoon it was still not done and it was the time we went up to bathe and rest.
4. There are no waiters at the pools and the pool bar closes at 5pm.
6. The lounge chairs on the beach were not cleaned, every day they woke up dirty with sand, plus there were not even enough pool chairs for the number of guests and people ended up sitting on the floor or in the gardens in front of the bedrooms.
7. The a la carte restaurant reservation, you only have the right to 2 when you stay for 5 nights.
8. The waiters in the restaurants are obviously not enough for the number of guests, since their service was not good, they took a long time to bring the drinks or they did not bring them at all.
9. On one occasion in the buffet there was an area to prepare smoothies and they had fruit to choose from, I asked the attendant if he could give me some kiwi even if it wasn't a smoothie and he denied it, he told me that it was only for the smoothies and couldn't drink it.
10. The reservation does not include Wi-Fi so that they consider it, the ATM did not work, the elevators were sooooo neglected... Anyway.
I understand that 1 or 2 things happen that you don't like during a stay but I think this was more than just bad luck, it is evident that the hotel does not care about the quality of service, they should not say that it is 5 stars, when it clearly seems to be 2. I recommend you think twice before booking this hotel, the only redeemable thing is the food, congratulations to the chef and the beach.

We travelled from Feb 8-11, 2024.
Pros:
- Adult pool was lovely; comfy chairs there
- Beach Party Dinner was nice to eat outside
- Breakfast buffet was decent.
- Ate at Las Palamos - good food
- Martini bar upstairs - best mezcal hibiscus margarita - favourite drink of the stay.
- Location on the beach was great, as expected with any resort in Nuevo.
Cons:
- We did not see ANY AED machines here. And frankly, the resort was full of retirees. When we asked, we were told that they had a nurse there but no AED on site.
- Buffet food at lunch and dinner were far from desirable.
- The resort services a cruise ship day excursion on the Sunday we were there. This created HUGE line ups everywhere. The buffet staff were overwhelmed; service was terrible/non-existent; Pools were overcrowded.
- Rooms are dated.
- Sink in the room smelled of sewage when the taps ran.
- Coffee maker and mugs provided in the room - NO COFFEE provided;
- "Mini bar" was two beer and two Pepsis
- Check in was confusing; wrong room given; no orientation of where anything was or how to book the a la carte.
- the "Magic Show" on Saturday turned out to be a Kids Karaoke Night.
- Gym needs a serious update and was dusty and dirty. FYI - there is no wifi in the gym - so plan in advance if you were going to stream a workout to follow there (i.e. Peloton) - looks NOTHING like the photos.
- Staff and customer support was underwhelming to say the least.

This resort was very well maintained, was very clean and had great services..
we were a family group of 11 with ages from 3-65…
We all thoroughly enjoyed the resort and had no issues for such a large group.. we found the food outstanding, specialty restaurants were extremely good dining experiences!
The resort had a Mexican Fiesta night outdoors one night and an outdoor grill night on another. These were great inclusions we all loved. Huge amount of effort putting these on and the food/entertainment was excellent!
Pools and beach were A1. They were very clean, never a problem getting pool and beach chairs. Swim up bars we’re great..
The staff at this resort are wonderful. We had great service throughout and were impressed at how well we were treated at every venue..
None of our party had any gastro issues on the entire trip and that is normally not possible. They use bottled water and food handing is obviously a priority!
The only issues we had were with specialty restaurant reservations process. You must attempt to get these after arriving at a desk between 8&3 daily.. not easy to get any at desirable times for young children and availability is an issue.. system needs to be easier as I saw long lines at times and it needs to be more fluid..
No bottled water is available in resort. They have water coolers in each floor for rooms. They aren’t large so do run out regularly, would really like plastic bottles instead, especially for pools and beach

Our room was 1821 with a shared door between our room and 1820. this was very problematic as we could hear the guests in room 1820 trough the door clearly. This was very disruptive to our stay and it was hard to sleep. We called several times but got little responce from the hotel staff. This will prevent us from recommending this hotel to anyone. Too bad.

Staff was great. But it is a timeshare, so be ready for that if you are not expecting it.
Pools and beach was great.
The Italian and Mexican restaurant was also great.
Not sure they still have people stand in line to try to book the restaurants at one at a time when we live in a digital world of booking apps.

Only thing I found not impressive is that it’s boring. You won’t experience anything exciting and just basic people. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. Other than that, good food, staff, service and cleanliness.

There were a number of member only areas that were not clearly advertised. Some restaurants were not available to non-members and service was slow at pool bars. Ala carte restaurants were half empty to save space for members and some food options were only available to members. Overall resort was average. Pools were nice but the drink service was non existent.

the resort was great! the staff was helpful at all times. elisabeth at the eating area by the kids pool was very nice. i defiantly recommend this resort.
