Stayed here to dive with excellent on- site dive centre run by Emperor Divers. Probably 50% of guests use dive centre but breakfast started too late to have full breakfast if going diving. Hotel is very laid back including the staff. Not sure it sees itself as a dive resort. No hot water or hair-drier on arrival, which took 4 hours to arrive. Reception only manned from 9am which is awkward if you are out of hotel from 7.15am onwards. Food average. Pool area very nice but needs a bar to relax in evening. Room okay but full of mosquitoes and I had several busy nights trying to kill them and suffered with several very nasty bites. The hotel must invest in mosquito nets over the beds and routine spraying on a regular basis even if empty ! Mosquitos lay eggs in water and if room had been empty for some time they could breed in bathroom area. To be honest the mosquitos ruined my stay

This new hotel which opened in 2022/23 has now only 55 rooms . The plan is to increase the number of rooms to 125. Together with the next door Oasis hotel, which belongs to the same owner, it could be developed as a perfect Red Sea resort. I worked more than 50 years in the tourism & hospitality industry and rarely have I encountered a hotel that has such potential and could have a great future! a. The basic design and layout of the project is perfect .Located at the edge of a valley of a dry river that ends in the sea. Hence the name Wadi. It consist out of three layers/floors that are naturally integrated in the hilly landscape. b. The layout of the rooms and bathrooms with shower is well done and spacious. c. The airco and a fan are working perfectly. A small fridge is available. The large bed is very comfortable and two cushions are standard. d. Most rooms have a terrace or balcony with a great view at the Red Sea. With sliding doors and a screen against mosquitos. e. The infinity pool is large enough and for only 55 rooms there are enough beds and parasols. f. The Red Sea beach is only 5 minutes walk away and the pier for snorkeling 10 minutes. g. The reef in front of the hotel is beautiful and still intact. No pollution , hundreds of fishes, turtles and sometimes small dolphins. A great place for snorkelling and people who would like to learn scuba diving. The reception provides you free with snorkelling gear. For the professionals there are many great diving locations nearby. e. The restaurant is on the second floor and has a great view over the sea and desert. d. Adjacent is a library with hundreds of great books, paintings and old pictures. A great place to sit and have a drink or play a game. The restaurant is perfectly managed by Nabib and he is an excellent host. Nabib is at this moment the key to the success and good rating of the hotel!! Breakfast, lunch and dinner are always delicious. Fresh and tasty. A set lunch cost € 10 and dinner € 15. Compared with the “ all inclusive resorts” with large tour groups , this hotel is a breath of fresh air! Perfect for individual couples or families with children 12 +. So far the good news. As the hotel just opened it has a number of start up problems. a. We always try to book a hotel direct and not via *********** or *******.com. The reason is that it cost the hotel around 15-20 % commission and as a result you get “ the worse room available”. However in this case we had to send 5 different mails before we got finally the conformation of our reservation. Every time a different person answered our mail . The staff turnover at sales & marketing & reservation is very high and the communication to guests is therefore not up to standard for a 4 star hotel! b. The reception of the hotel is located in the entrance hall of the hotel and does not look professional at all. Big mess of papers at the desk, etc. c. When we were still in Holland we got a funny mail that the

The Wadi Sabarah lodge located in Marsa Allam checks all the boxes: - Architécture: the hotel is build with magnificent stones inspired of ancient Egyptian style. - Tasteful furniture inside the hotel and around the pool. - Friendliness of the staff. The entire staff is professional and service minded. Ahmed the reception Manager is always ready to listen and highly efficient. - Excellente cuisine with homemade dishes using only local products. Nebil the food and beverage Manager and all his entire staff are very friendly, always wanting to please you. - Eco friendly concept. - Relaxed and quiet atmosphere. If you are looking to spend a peaceful time in Marsa Allam no hesitation the Wadi Sabarah lodge is the place for you. Also good to know if you are divers the Wadi Sabarah lodges is ideally located in the middle of major diving sites. We intend to come back to this paradise very soon. Didier and Natascha

Far above any expectations!!! Such peace and serenity cannot be found just anywhere. Combine that with great service, delicious homemade food and very special facilities such as exquisite library, locally grown garden with selected desert plants & stunning underwater world at the home reef! Reservations & check in process was made swift & smooth by Ahmed who is always available & helpful. Room 214 had nested position overlooking garden, sea & pool as sideview. Bed was dreamlike comfortable. The entire hotel was made out of sea fossils so walls had sea shells in it! We had AC issues but that just showed us how professional & dedicated customer service was, it all got solved to our satisfaction. Restaurant staff was our all time favorite! Nabil and his team are so attentive, genuinely warm, welcoming & eager to fulfill all the wishes. Really they made our holiday even better! Chefs made our favorite Om Ali and not a single day we had a bite of bad food, it was all so fresh, tasty and love made. This place has good wifi so picking up with work can be while having breathtaking views of Red Sea. House reef made us experience many kinds of fishes have encounter with a turtle and even dolphins visited. Recommended near by trip is to Satayah reef that will make you swim with pods of dolphins, however it's a group thing, but still very much worth it! Other interesting nature encounters were with local plants that Dr. Irini brought up with so much love and wrote a perfect guide for it available on website and published as a book. Library is another miracle, loaded with books about Egypt, culture, nature architecture, cooking and travel. Such a gem! Wadi Sabarah is perfect place to trully connect with nature, have cultural experience, be pampered & fully recover from bustling life. Peace, joy & love fully recovered. Thank you Wadi Sabarah team.

Perfect experience! Sustainable lodge with high care for the detail, and quality of service. Solar energy. Rooms are super nice, everything works perfectly. Food in the restaurant is organized with a fixed menu everyday with options for vegetarians. Bread is freshly baked in the terrace also meal. Easy access to the beach and a nice peer to jump into the water and snorkel at the reef edge. Everybody in the staff were fantastic and always super helpful. Thank you!!! If I’d had to point to something to improve, there would only be one thing being a little something in the room terrace to hang up the wet clothes, towels and swimsuits :)

An Ecolodge immersed in tranquility, far from the stretch of coast reserved for large resorts. Positioned between Port Ghali and Marsa Alam, it presents an architecture perfectly integrated with the territory. The rooms, large and pleasantly furnished, overlook the sea and are equipped with a private patio or terrace. The culinary offer is interesting: breakfast served sweet and savory, vegetarian lunch, and dinner that varies from meat to fish. Each dish is cooked with local products and you can savor their goodness and freshness. Let's talk about the beach: a few hundred meters away, there is a pier that goes beyond the coral reef. The sea has beautiful colors and the seabed is very colorful and full of colorful fish. Finally, don't miss the jeep excursion in the rock desert: truly suggestive landscapes with an aperitif stop in the middle of nowhere. A truly surreal experience. Wadi Sabarah is therefore aimed at those seeking exclusivity and tranquility, in close contact with nature, be it sea or desert.

Pure relaxation and well-being in every corner, a very characteristic structure that blends perfectly with the environment that surrounds it: the desert. An alternative to the classic mega resorts, here it is possible to establish a more authentic contact with nature. In addition to the desert there is also a spectacular coral reef which is easily accessible via a private pier, often deserted and on which it is also possible to relax thanks to the sunbeds present. A special mention for the STAFF, discreet but available to satisfy every need and request. The cuisine is often typical but absolutely high quality, with bread continuously baked at every meal; table service equal to a luxury restaurant. In order to appreciate all this, however, it is necessary to go to the Lodge with the right spirit, forgetting the hectic everyday life.
