Once the novelty of the wine themed bedrooms has worn off (which is pretty quick) you find a fairly basic hotel.The impracticality of having the bath and shower in the room far outweighs the fun although couples a lot younger may disagree. The restaurant has all the a**osphere of a school canteen with excessively bright lighting.Food was rustic at best with just the basic ingredients on the plate and no garnishings. Staff generally were off hand and a bit indifferent. Altogether somewhat disappointing.

Just returned from an intended 2 night stay and extended it it to 3. I am so impressed with this hotel and the area I would recommend everyone stay there at least once. The hotel is so unique with its concept and design. Each room is tastefully themed and this flows through the hotel. Staff are excellent and professional. The location is quiet , there is the hotel , the monastery adjacent(well worth a tour for 4 euros) and the vineyard. This is the real Spain that is often missed. The countryside around is beautiful. The medieval village of Penaranda de duero is 20mins away. I will definitely return. I am in a wheelchair and the hotel had an accessible room. It was the monastery theme and overlooked the vine yard. Absolutely beautiful. Well Done el Lagar de Isilla.

Second stay here, love the quirky gothic hotel style. Has a good restaurant for dinner, good breakfast with fresh fruit. Large rooms with good facilities, although we find the beds to be a little too firm for our taste. Helpful friendly staff. Parking opposite hotel

Our first visit and it won’t be our last. We had a lovely room - Monastery. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We dined in the restaurant and the food was excellent. The wine was so lovely that’s we bought a few bottles in their shop. Unfortunately, we were not there long enough to enjoy a wine tasting tour - next time. It’s a lovely location,

I booked my stay end of june, as a birthday gift and wedding gift. After booking I received a booking confirmation and was eager to spend a nice weekend in the area. Unfortunately my happiness ended soon. The hotel considered it convenient to cancel my reservation more than one month after booking, letting me with a short term notice and difficulties to find another suitable option for the event. I wouldn't recommend this hotel as it's not reliable at all and when it comes to finding convenient solutions, they have no customer-friendly intentions. It's even not worth 1 point!

Abbiamo scelto per una notte questo particolare Boutique Hotel percorrendo la Ruta del Vino. Chiaramente la struttura nasce in seguito alla bodega Originale di cui ancora fa parte. All’arrivo è facile parcheggiare davanti alla reception. Al check in le ragazze sono molto gentili. Abbiamo scelto di alloggiare in una Junior Suite, ci hanno assegnata la Parques Naturales, lo stile è piuttosto “eclettico”, con elementi simpatici e totalmente a tema. Nota di merito alla pulizia, davvero perfetta. da notare la vasca idromassaggio rotonda. Sono stati molto carini a farci trovare una bottiglia di rosè di loro produzione, acqua, thé , caffè in capsule. Abbiamo usufruito della Spa (a pagamento, 25€ a persona), anche questa a tema con sauna , sala relax con tisane ed una grande piscina con vari getti d’acqua e potenti idromassaggi. La sera abbiamo cenato nell’ottimo ristorante che offre cucina tipica della zona, davvero tutto buono, naturalmente i vini di loro produzione, tutto illustrato dal personale di sala davvero professionale, gentile e preparato. Solo due note che potrebbero migliorare ancora di più il soggdegli ospiti: -avremmo voluto visitare la bodega, ma il prezzo era un po’ alto (25€a persona) avendo già pagato la spa diventava un po’ troppo dispendioso, consiglio pacchetti o piccoli sconti per chi alloggia in hotel. -si potrebbe ridurre l’uso della plastica (bottiglie e bicchieri in camera e in Spa) . Comunque siamo soddisfatti al 100%. Grazie
