The rooms are individual cottages, very well decorated and maintained. The bed is ridiculously huge. A nice work desk in front of a bay window with very nice views of the grounds, There's also a little deck in front of each cottage. A/C works well and with the ceiling fan on it can get quite cool. The bathroom is clean and nicely done. The staff is always available and very willing to be of service. Power outages are a regular occurrence throughout the day, but the generator comes on within a minute. Meals are served in the main lodge, buffet style for all meals. The food is good with ***y different choices... veg and non-veg. The dinner seatings are rotated through 2 different rooms so everyone gets to experience the entire lodge. There is a pool in a very nice setting, kind of made to look like a watering spot maybe? One afternoon we went to the pool and found it surrounded by Langur monkeys... all looking quite comfortable. They didn't seem to be bothered by us at all. The pool itself could use a little bit of a face lift. It was basically intact but the ladders were loose and surface was chipped in ***y places, but still a pleasant reprieve from the heat. The lodge is located about 20-30 minutes from Kanha Park gate.
