Quality Inn Raynham - Taunton

Was looking for an inexpensive stay in the Taunton area and this Quality Inn did not disappoint. Facility seemed a bit tired, but it was clean, no smell of smoke, and everything worked. Plenty of hot water in the shower. All I really did was spend the night and leave, so I didn't avail myself of any services, but the experience was satisfactory. Would stay there again.

Love the outside sitting area with fire pit. Great to end the nite with that special someone and cozy up to the fire. Facilities are always well kept with the great staff they have here. They do what they can to assure your happy with your stay. Whether it's for a nite or cpl months, they always treat you good here. Grab n go breakfast is quick healthy choice to start the day off.

If you LOVE POOR SERVICE, come here and stay in Raynham. My girlfriend and I were surprisingly upset by the service at this Marriott. We decided to take advantage of a gift card we got and have a vacation and get out of town for a bit. We wanted to visit the Boston and Cape Cod area and we found Raynham MA, being between both of our areas of interest. I booked a room online and my gift card said I couldn’t book it with my gift card and had to be a bank card, that seemed fair so I put my card down and it took ~$237 out of my account on July 18th. I didn’t realize that it would take it out and I called the hotel and they said it was just a temporary hold to reserve the room and that I need to show the gift card to the front desk when we arrive and it would go back into my account. Okay, a little strange already but if it’s policy then it is policy. About a month later on Saturday August 20th we make our way to the hotel and when we checked in the woman charged my card an EXTRA $260. I was really shocked that it came up after I showed her the gift card number and she left the desk came back and ignored the card. I asked what it was about and she said it was a temporary hold. They already took a temporary hold out on my account and now they took ~$497 of my bank. She brushed us off and wouldn’t contact a manager to have other questions I wanted answered. Terrible service already. 2 hours later the first woman changes shifts and I met the person I talked to on the phone to answer my questions. I explained her the situation and she said “I am ZERO percent surprised the other woman didn’t help you…” she said the first $237 charge was put in for a refund and now the gift card was taken by this new woman. I did leave a message with the manager but he never answered my call or message to get my questions answer. She said it should be fixed and my remaining balance on my card matched what it should have been. Check out day comes and we have woman #1 again and I said I was checking out and she asked for the gift card and I let her know another employee took the number and was able to help me out. Her response was “Do we have a problem!?” I stepped back and said “Do we?” She said “Yea do you have a problem with me!!?” I told her “I got service from before and I was just letting you know because you asked about the gift card.” We checked out as she scoffed at me (luckily my girlfriend was in the car otherwise she would have been very very upset about someone talking to me that way). Now it is a couple days later and 1. Woman #1 left a terrible taste in my mouth and left my girlfriend and I feeling very very uncomfortable about having a vacation. 2. The manager never responded to my call/message. 3. I have not gotten my $497 back on either “temporary holds.” 4. The only GOOD things about this stay was Ashley (maybe Ashly) who was the woman #2 who I talked to on the phone trying to answer my questions and concerns, but she still did not get my money

Stayed 1 night with my wife attending a concert in New Bedford, MA. The location is great, right off the highway with plenty of gas stations, restaurants and shopping around. If you're doing anything in the south coast, fall river area, this is a nice halfway point between there and Boston. Definitely no frills as you would expect with Hampton Inn but overall a solid, comfortable room. Check in: Uneventful, friendly staff. Only minor thing was I was acknowledged as a diamond member, but despite the display on the counter with free snacks for gold and diamond members I had to ask for the snacks where I figured the guy at the counter would offer them to me. Although I went back a second time because my wife wanted the sweet potato chips and they happily gave me a bag no charge, which while a small gesture was very nice. Room: Overall clean and comfortable. Shower was a little tight but water pressure good and water was hot. Had to to plug the mini fridge in (which was fine but I wish they would have told me that at check in instead of putting our waters in and an hour later wondering why they weren't cold). Sleep Quality: If you can call them complaints, it was relatively minor but I can see others getting a little more irritated. 1. The room was maybe a shade chilly, but despite jacking the temperature up to 72, it never seem to get a whole lot warmer, despite the fan running. 2. It is right off a major artery and despite it's convenient location, if your room is facing that road (which ours was), you will hear large trucks driving through, as I was woken by one, but fortunately it was short lived and not in the middle of the night. Next time I think this can bee easily mitigated by asking for a room facing away from the road. We didn't try the breakfast as we went into Boston on our way home for breakfast but it looked decent/average with a passing glance. Overall, if I needed a place to stay in that area again, I would stay here for a night or two. You have to know what you're getting with a Hampton Inn but it's safe, comfortable, accessible, and relatively quiet.
