A lot of fake reviews on this place without a doubt. The man helping with the bags and the cleaning woman were super helpful and very kind. The woman working at the front desk should not be speaking to customers - just awful to deal with and kept trying to scam us for more money. Room is busted up and awful. Needs new ownership and management it seems.

I liked the accommodation is staffed throughout day and night, and that you can leave your key there if you want to so you don’t need to worry about losing it when going out partying or to the beach. Staff was kind and the area is pretty convenient between beaches in Ipanema & Copabana. They changed towels everyday which I wasn’t expecting and thought was nice.

Very cheap hotel and service. Unfortunately, we checked in and paid for 5 night stay and checked out 1 hour later of arrival. The pillows were brown and gross and instantly had some flee or bug bites in that short timeframe. I found a flee on my phone when i went to pick it up after placing it on the counter. I was modified. Not to mention the lock on the door wouldn’t lock and we had to call the maintenance officer in the first minute of arriving through the door. Receptionist refused to give the money back as apparently one hour was too long in the room. Very upset and ended up paying for another hotel for the week.

This hotel is excellent.
It is near of copacabana, Ipanema and Lebron Beach.
I really recommend…

Got a single room and the room looked nothing like the photos on the hotel page. The room was the size of a closet, the walls were paper thin so that I woke up every time someone went up or down the stairs, and the hot water didn't work at all.
The only saving grace was that the hotel staff were all very nice and spoke reasonably functional English for check in.

the worst hotel in my life. cold water shower, caught a cold, bad cleaning, cockroaches and worms walking around the room, bad hygiene at breakfast, it was a nightmare, broken elevator

Well, to get to the reception, you had to climb an extensive concrete staircase with no roof. I arrived in the rain and my shoe came off. The room size was satisfactory, but the elevator was not working. I stayed on the 3rd floor and there were more stairs to climb with suitcases. The air conditioning made a terrible noise, but it was quickly resolved, the hotel guy put some shims in there and stopped the noise a little longer. The bathroom had the slight return of the stink, but it was bearable. Well, the cost/benefit is reasonable.
