We purchased our Italy trip through Costco, and we have been so happy with the first two hotels on our journey in both Venice and Florence. However, our 3rd stop, The Inn at the Roman Forum in Rome, has been really disappointing. It is advertised as a 5 star hotel but it’s been anything but that. The hotel is built around part of the Roman Forum which is amazing, yet some of the rooms are in an “annex” which is about 20 meters away in an adjoining apartment building. We were unfortunate, and put in one of those rooms. While the room itself was ok (very small, window in bathroom broken, shower doesn’t drain well, no view), we were most bothered by the fact that we were not in the main hotel building. We were given 4 keys to enter a series of doors just to get in to our room. There is no number on our room door which is odd and the keys are wonky- sometimes they work and other times not. We have to go outside and walk down the alley to access the Inn and the free breakfast. Also, they advertise a bar option on the rooftop from 4-10pm each day but our experience as well as that of other guests, is that it’s rarely open. We tried going twice and no one is up there. It is a great view but this is not what they advertise. Again, this is no where near a 5 star experience. The location is great and the staff is nice but the hotel is not transparent in what they offer. Check prices-look elsewhere.

The Inn is a boutique hotel in the heart of the city centre just a few steps away from the Colosseum and 10-15mins to the main landmarks, the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon and the Spanish Steps. The only attractions that require public transport is the Vatican which is across the river. Upon arrival, me and my family were greeted by their delicious homemade tiramisu inside their onsite ruins. It is some sort of time travel in Ancient Rome which I really did not expect to find just besides the reception area. The coolness of the crypto was what we were craving for after such a long journey. What I enjoyed the most was the view from the rooftop terrace bar when we went for drinks in the evening. You do not see of course the entire Forum, but you see very clearly part of the Capitoline Hill as well as the "typewriter" monument. The area is nice and quiet but if you walk 5 minutes towards the Madonna dei Monti fountain, you will find yourself immersed in the frenzy activity of Monti nightlife, just what I was looking for. There is no need to go all the way to Trastevere since you can experience the authentic Roman lifestyle just around the corner. Btw, the best part of breakfast were the hashbrowns which reminded me of when I had them back in highschool for how tasty they were. The friendliness of the staff, the central and quiet location, and the food quality make it such a great experience indeed. I really felt at home throughout my stay which is not something that happens very often.

This hotel is the best location. Like a boutique hotel. Asuri ( hope his name can be recognized) such a gentleman, super helpful with everything. Really nice staff helped with breakfast, room and options to eat. Hotel is super key location, the coliseum is like 7 minutes walking, the forum is too. Everything is walking distance from the hotel. Also a lot of restaurants around, sandwiches, pasta, pizza etc. the best hotel!!

This was the best hotel we stayed at in Rome! The location was fantastic. It was an easy walk to all of the wonderful restaurants and sights. The staff were all fantastic and even upgraded our room when we arrived! The breakfast was absolutely amazing and the view! Wow! I truly wish we had stayed here our whole trip. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

When we arrived, we were kindly greeted and given a tour of the hotel, which is truly a hidden gem! They allowed us to wait in the back grotto and served us a delicious tiramisu as we waited for our keys. We were surprised with a upgraded room. It was spacious and had a deep jacuzzi which was nice. Ian was kind enough to show us everything in the room and how to use the TV. They also serve breakfast every morning and the staff were so attentive, the food was delicious and everything always looked nice and clean. You couldn't have asked for a better view. What I really enjoyed from our room, we could hear this little fountain outside that was so soothing and calming. This hotel is walking distance to the major attractions of Rome and have some really lovely restaurants close by.

We stayed at the Inn at the Roman Forum last year. On our arrival the manager served us tiramisu in a room that is more than 2000 years old. The king size bed was very comfortable. Breakfast You could order pancakes, waffles , eggs, omelettes, and a variety of pasties and fruit. The hotel is small but you feel at home.

This is not a five star hotel. I have no idea how it got that designation. The place is "fine," but it sets itself up for failure by claiming to be something it isn't. Grafitti covers the front of the buildings adjacent to it. The lobby is tiny, and we were constantly jostled by other guests and service people as we tried to check in. The rooms are ok, but not luxurious. The elevator is tiny. With two people it felt claustrophobic and unsafe. We had "adjoining" rooms on the top floor with a "private" garden. However, it wasn't at all private. They hung a sign on the door, saying, "this garden is reserved for these two rooms," but they left the door open. They literally served breakfast to people at a table immediately outside the door of one of the rooms in a walkway to the garden. The privacy was a joke. The "garden" was unkept and the furniture in it unusable. Breakfast itself was great, and the service staff was very helpful and attentive. Honestly, it is an ok inn, but definitely not a 5 star hotel. Perhaps, we would have enjoyed it if we had different expectations.

I cannot say enough positive things about this inn. The staff was phenomenal, the room was so comfortable and clean, the breakfast was great, and the location was excellent. My husband and I absolutely loved staying here. We would stay here again.

This is a gem of a hotel in a great location, just 5/6 mins walk from the Colosseum. The room was clean and the bed was super comfortable. I would recommend ear plugs though as the locals seemed to get up very early. There’s a beautiful roof top terrace for breakfast (which ie excellent - so much choice!) and the staff were superb.

Just returned from this hotel after being in Rome for the marathon (ideal location if you need to be near the start and finish ie the Colosseum). We stayed here three nights and it’s probably one of the friendliest hotels I have stayed in. The hotel is gorgeous and breakfast on the rooftop terrace was lovely. The staff go out of their way to assist you and always with a smile, nothing is too much trouble. The rooms were spacious and the most comfortable beds. I would definitely stay here again. I have been to Rome numerous times and bar far this has been the best. I’ll be back!

This hotel was perfect for our 2 nights in Rome with friends. The staff were warm, friendly, and welcoming. The location is central to all the main sights in Rome, and it is an easy walk from Termini station. Breakfast was a varied selection of foods, served upstairs, and on the balcony, weather permitting.

Excellent location, situated within a 5 minute walk to the Roman Forum. Literally the entire Forum is right there and walking distance to the Colosseum also. The staff were extremely helpful, professional, and friendly. Several restaurants are with walking distance as well as shopping. This was a great location for us and we loved the intimacy of the Inn. The rooftop dining was especially nice and the breakfast they served us everyday was delicious! Our room was very nice with a comfortable bed, big bathroom with bathroom amenities, soft bath towels, and warm showers everyday. The staff there can also assist you in setting up tours of the city. We bought a guided tour for 4 adults to tour the Forum and the Colosseum and we learned so much from our guide. Our guide spoke excellent English and took us on a very educational and indepth, historic tour of the areas we visited. The Trevi Fountain is also about a 15-20 minute walk from the hotel which was very easy to get to. You'll Love staying here! Stay here, you won't regret it!!!

We just had an amazing 4-day stay at The Inn At The Roman Forum. The room we were in was impeccably curated and super clean. Customer service was topnotch. The location is excellent, so close to the Coloseum, with lots of good restaurants nearby. Metro stations are also close. However, their best kept secret is their breakfast offering, plenty items on the menu that are made to order just like in a restaurant. Special shoutout to Rose and May (?) for their excellent service, thank you ladies! This place is highly, highly recommended!

Fantastico! The hotel experience was one of the best I’ve ever had. From the professionalism of the staff to include the host nickname “Sugar”, to the wonderful kitchen staff, everyone made our stay their priority. Awesome breakfast by the way! Overall, it has the best location to walk to anything of interests nearby, clean comfortable rooms, and an elevator to boot, if you can’t do the stairs after touring the streets of Rome. Choose this hotel if you want a pleasurable time without going elsewhere. You won’t be disappointed and will be sad you have to leave.
