Hotel Clodio

We were looking forward to resting once we arrived after the long flights from the US. As soon as I pulled back the bedding to get into bed, I saw something crawling on the white sheets up by the pillow. As I looked closer, there was more that were crawling and some that appeared to be dead. I immediately searched my phone for pictures of bed bugs, and was easily able to confirm the bugs on the bedding. I told our tour guide and she was able to get us y different room. I immediately started inspecting the new room when a hotel housekeeper walked into the room and began yelling at me in Italian. Luckily our tour guide came to our new room during this and was able to translate. She was mad that I was inspecting the new bed and was telling us there are no bed bugs. Thank goodness I recorded a video clip of the crawling bugs. The tour guide showed her the video as she continued yelling at me in Italian until the manager came into the room. The manager apologized and made sure we were okay with the new room. We also found bed bugs in my sisters room so they moved to a new one also. We heard the front desk assign the bed big rooms to someone else so we told them they should not be putting others in the rooms until treated for bed bugs. It was rather old, dirty, and cleaning lady was incredibly rude about the whole thing. Per the manager of the hotel, it has been bought by a bigger chain and will soon close for a full renovation. Until that time, please check your room carefully.

NON PRENOTATE ASSOLUTAMENTE! Partiamo dal presupposto che avevo prenotato su booking ma per loro c’era stato un errore e la tariffa era troppo bassa (siccome un hotel così datato può valere mai 160€ a notte). Si dicono hotel 4 stelle e il loro servizio è veramente ridicolo. Avevo chiamato perché non mi volevano rimborsare, e quindi trovare un via di mezzo e dopo averla trovata mi cancellano la prenotazione lasciandomi senza alloggio con poco preavviso. Manco sanno loro quello che dicono. Veramente non prenotate perché per i prezzi che hanno potete trovare molto meglio.

AFFITTANO VECCHIE STANZE ROTTE Abbiamo prenotato e pagato in anticipo due notti in una stanza tripla (circa 400€). Al nostro arrivo, verso pe 10 di sera, abbiamo trovato una stanza doppia piuttosto vecchiotta, di piccole dimensioni adattata a tripla con una brandina infilata a filo tra il letto matrimoniale e il muro (foto per credere). Ma l’assurdo arriva dopo, perché aperto il lavandino ci accorgiamo essere totalmente otturato e piano di acqua. Chiamata la reception, si scusano, ci spiegano di non avere altre triple libere e ci chiedeno di pazientare fino alla mattina dopo per l’arrivo dell’idraulico (comprensibile essendo le 22). La mattina, prima di uscire, mi metto in fila alla reception tra decine di altri clienti arrabbiati per sollecitare nuovamente la necessità di un idraulico. Al mio ritorno nel pomeriggio, la reception mi informa che non hanno trovato un idraulico e per scusarsi ci offrono un cambio in una camera più piccola (??) o di rimanere nella nostra e di offrirci tre drinks al bar. Gestione scandalosa.
