Old hotel, there is an elevator that can't be used, it's very easy to go to the room, but the service is very good, the luggage can be lifted to the room and the front desk for help

The service attitude of this hotel is very poor! There is a problem of exclusion of Chinese, and I am extremely dissatisfied with the attitude of the Chinese! They also use foul language to treat Chinese people!

Beyond the nice old entrance and prime location is a two-star experience. I'm not a demanding guest, but there was a long list of issues during my stay, including: ROOM RESERVATION: I booked a modern-looking room with a "view" and was taken to a dumpy, traditional-looking room with no view at all. The room had just one window: a narrow foot-tall horizontal one about 8 feet off the floor through which you could see nothing. When I informed reception of the mixup, they said there was nothing they could do and offered me free breakfast, which I had already been told was free to me. PARKING: The hotel advertises "valet" parking, which you access by pulling up to a retractable barrier along a narrow one-lane road in the city center. When I arrived (not long after checkin time) the parking attendant was on a smoke break. I ended up causing a minor traffic jam for 5-10 minutes until someone else behind me (either a hotel employee or guest) got our of their car and badged me into the lot. MAINTENANCE: The room's bathroom had a bucket under the sink that collected loud drips. The shower only got lukewarm, not hot. The kettle for coffee/tea was in the closet and had no obvious wall plug, so I used it in the bathroom. It seemed quite old (you had to hold down the boil switch or it wouldn't work). We couldn't figure out how to turn off the bedside lamps, so had to unplug them at night. And the sheets had a stain. Find somewhere better!

This really should be a 4 star hotel, at over 300€ per night, one expects larger rooms, and better amenities in the room. The building is wonderful, lobby and paintings are great, valet service was good, the breakfast not that great!

The staff was extremely helpful and friendly; the room was spacious, attractive and had a comfortable bed and a nice bathroom; there was music on Friday and Saturday night in the entry courtyard; the breakfast was delicious with a nice variety. Elegant, historic, lovely…

I just can't believe this hotel manage to get a 5 star status. I went to the toilet next to the lounge area. 3 cuticles did not have any toilet papers so I had to use toilet paper from disabled persons' toilet. There is no hand wash area inside the women's toilet so you will have to get out from there and go the common wash area. Only one place you can wash your hand inside the women's toilet was again, disabled person's cubicle and there was no soap. One of the cubicle had some poo running over the toilet and it was just too gross to even take a picture to complain. How on earth 5 star hotel run the property this terribly? I was just so disgusted by the scene and very offended that this is a so called 5 star hotel. Again, the hotel does not reserve any restaurant table for a staying guest.

Stayed for 3 nights in Room 405. Very basic rooms with dated decor that reflected the rest of the hotel: its like stepping back to 1985! Staff were lovely, but honestly the outside of the hotel is at complete odds with the revolting red and black interior: a major overhaul is needed to brinv this in line to anything like the 5 star rating its been given

Very happy to stay in this hotel again when in Rouen. The staff were friendly and helpful, the courtyard was a lovely place to relax with a book and a drink. The spa and swimming pool were a bonus.

A lovely hotel in an historic town. The big courtyard in the center which has a nice bar is a great place to chill. Service staff was top notch!

This is a fabulous hotel. This is the second time we stayed there, and it never disappoints! Staff is courteous and assists with any request. The rooms are welcoming and so spacious. The breakfast offers a bounty of options and is so delicious. We will come back next time we are in France.
