It was a nice hotel located walking distance from Earls Court tube station. The only drawback was there was no lift so customer with heavy luggages have to carry their luggages using the stairs on their own

Overall, it cannot be compared with domestic ones. Apart from having more beds and a convenient location, there are no advantages.

Just returned from a one night stay and here is my honest review Booked during a Black Friday event by my friend so thought it was a bargain after seeing the website. I knew the area well therefore location perfect for our needs, we had a warm welcome from lady on arrival. Particularly helpful when I asked about buses etc. Now the reception itself very old fashioned and dated but so what? The fireplace and sofas made it look very cosy and inviting. That literally was the best bit! We were on the 3rd floor, carpets were I’ll fitted and unsafe in places. One entering the room there was a very strong smell of air freshener immediately made me think it was masking something……. Bed linen was fresh and there was pleasant array of toiletries and fresh towels. Room in dire need of painting, walls badly marked, chunks out of walls. There was some trunking for cables under the tv but served no purpose as the trunking was open with no cables in. Wardrobe had the back coming off it and the draw unit was in a dreadful state. The bathroom was dreadful the only positive thing was toilet was clean, the tiles on floor were broken and loose and generally tiles in shower were mouldy and filthy. Without doubt this room is not fit for purpose for paying guests. Ripped carpet heavily stained. We did however have warm room and beds were comfy we slept well. Breakfast a waste of 9.99 tiny tinned type sausages like cocktail ones just a very bad selection and the pics of fruit offering and bakery items is nothing like pics on website. We had 3 slices of bread between us and a banana for 19.98! The website is without doubt misleading as is not a true reflection of the standard. The room we had is currently on *********** for £220, if you are contemplating this hotel you do so at your own peril. I am not a serial complainer and have been honest in this review. Staff were lovely however the hotel is not as advertised and leaves you feeling short changed

I stayed in 1 Lexham Gardens Hotel in Kensington mid November 2023 with my mother. We had booked a twin room to stay in from 14 November, checking out 17 November. On arrival, there was nobody at reception, so we checked in using the machine. We then went to our room, which was majorly below average. I have never complained about a hotel in my life, but this hotel room was really not fit for purpose and not nice at all. The room was dirty, marks on the walls, the bathroom door completely chipped to pieces, a strong stench of drains coming from the toilet every time you washed your hands, no mirrors in the room, so nowhere to plug in hair straightener and do hair, (I had to use my phone camera to try and do my hair), a small mirror in the bathroom only, the shower was dirty, the tv was hanging off the wall, scruffy looking cushions left on the bed, there was no plug socket anywhere near the kettle, my mum had to move the kettle to the bed side table and plug it in there, with insufficient space on the bedside table, which is a clear safety hazard. The room resembled a prison cell. Despite all of this, we agreed that we would only be using the room to get ready and to sleep, so we would put up with it and wouldn't complain. We arrived back to the hotel on Tuesday evening after a long day of travelling and a dinner in London City, and got into bed for approx 11pm. We both brought ear plugs and put them in our ears, but there was earsplitting, pounding noise coming from the back garden of the hotel, directly below our window. There was a party, with blaring music, with loads of people shouting and laughing until we finally got to sleep at 4.30am. My mum had a look online and it seemed to be a party coming from The Secret Garden Lounge, which is quite obviously another business owned by the hotel. As unacceptable as it is to run a hotel business with that going on to the extent that people cant sleep, it is even more despicable, that the people who run this hotel, also use their premises to make as much money as possible and host blaring parties on a Tuesday night, with such disregard for their hotel guests. My mother is in her 60s and the very least this hotel could provide for us would be a decent nights sleep, considering how much this hotel is charging and the poor quality and cleanliness of the rooms. On Wednesday morning, we approached the lady on reception and told her we wanted to check out. I explained the situation and confirmed that we were happy to pay for the first night but would like a refund for the Wednesday and Thursday night, as the room was not fit for purpose at all as we couldn't even sleep. The lady seemed to pretend to be surprised (I say pretend because I have absolutely no doubt that others would have complained about the noise and lack of sleep as the noise was earsplitting), she told us there was nothing she could do and I would need to get onto to ***********, who I could get a refund from. We left and went to the K Hotel

Where to start! We phoned up the day before asking for a cot in the room and when we arrived no cot so had to ask again and when we got the cot the gap at the end of the bed was so small that the cot was squashed up against the bed and the radiator. Very tiny room you could barely open the wardrobe door. The bathroom was so small that the toilet was right in front of the sink and the shower you had to run for ages to get hot water and hardly any water pressure to rinse your hair. The bed was so uncomfortable that I could literally feel the springs in the mattress and the pillows we're uncomfortable. Hardly any plug sockets to plug anything in. No curtains just some wooden blinds that did absolutely nothing to help black out the room. This is supposed to be a family hotel with no highchairs despite 2 people asking for a baby cot. The plus side is the staff are friendly but the hotel could do with a revamp and get better mattresses and bedding.

Reading these reviews had me worried but our room was clean and had enough space for the 5 of us and our luggage, the beds were clean and our towels/tea/coffee were all replenished daily. The bathroom wasn’t massive but had enough space to get ready in. The location was great for getting around and only a short walk to the natural history museum. This was a great budget hotel and one we would definitely stay in again.

The most awful hotel, filthy, damp, mould, dirt, too hot to lie comfortably. Shabby, hovel comes to mind. The worst hotel I have stayed in ever…having travelled far and wide this is without doubt the worst place I have ever stayed at. DO NOT BOOK. No fresh air, broken tiles, hair on bed…! It is not even a 1 star. They should be ashamed to allow people to stay in these rooms. Room is barely big enough to open your suitcase.

The only good thing about this hotel was the location, close to the Royal Albert Hall. Don’t believe the images advertising the hotel! I booked a standard double room, and got a shoe closet. The walls are paper thin, you can hear everything going on between rooms. The room was tiny with limited access to one side of the not so double bed. The ‘bathroom’ was a joke, you couldn’t sit on the toilet properly, the sink did not drain and the shower was either freezing or scolding hot. Despite indicating I needed a gluten free breakfast on booking and reminding the receptionist when we booked in, when we had breakfast and asked for gluten free bread, we were met with comical looks of misunderstanding, blaming a breakdown in communication between reception and the kitchen. I paid £10 for a banana and coffee for my wife’s breakfast.
