Bad management during check in. I book an Apartment for 2 nights for this stay but I got the room for 1 night each. Staff told me I have to change room tomorrow and check out at 12PM. So that mean first night I stay and tomorrow check out 12PM and wait for a new room. Also, the apartment is very far from reception. Luckily, I have a car. Imagine if I don't have a car, I have to carry big luggage from the apartment to reception to check out and wait for new room later and move my luggage to new room again, how was it? Moreover, when I check out at 12PM staff told me the room will ready for check in around 2 hours. Then came back to check in again for second at 3PM another staff told me the room is not ready yet and policy for the Apartment check in time is 6PM. ***!!! I said I need the room now because this is unacceptable. Then staff told me the room is ready and give me the key card. So, for this situation I waste the time for half day to pack my luggage, move a lot of luggage to my car with a lot of snow, check out, go to reception for check out, wait the new room, wait, wait, wait, and come back to check in and got very bad answer that she told the room is not ready, and go to check in again, move my luggage to new apartment with a lot of snow, and take a rest. VERY BAD!!!!!

It was comfortable and fun! The location was very good, and because it was centrally located, various itineraries were possible without having to change accommodations. It was easy to use because they had a variety of things available, and the heating was great, so it was comfortable, neither cold nor hot at all. This is an accommodation that is both romantic and practical. Reception service was good, and breakfast was delicious! The swimming pool was also nice to use (I wish the water temperature was a little higher and there was a dehydrator). Best accommodation, recommended!

We booked with Santas Lapland to stay over Christmas 2023. The accommodation with this holiday was a room at this hotel for us as grandparents and an apartment for the rest of the family. The apartment was good however the hotel itself although advertised as four star was, I would say two star. The corridors were delapidated as was our room, the shower head pointed sideways which you could alter, the room was not clean and when we arrived, as the bathroom floor had toilet paper and other bits stuck to it with blobs and had obviously not been cleaned, I ask reception to clean it which they did to a poor standard with water slopped up the tiles. At that point I decided not to pursue anything further as I didn’t want to take up our valuable time there. We decided to spend as little time in the room as possible. We are obviously older but we’re not told that our room was on the first floor (only realised this on our way to the room) and there was no lift and reception did not ask if we needed help, fortunately some other kind holiday makers helped us. When we went to the restaurant no one was monitoring people going in and it was so oversubscribed that people had got their breakfast/dinner standing in the restaurant with nowhere to sit, hovering over tables where they though people were leaving. The dining room staff were doing their best but standards of cleaning tables were slipping. We sat in the reception/“lounge area” for about an hour - the table was covered with food mess, plates, spilt drinks and glasses and when we left it was still there. It was obvious that they did not have enough staff and were not sufficiently equipped to have that amount people there. There are some redecorated corridors and rooms and that is what they show you on the website however the rest of it is awful and it did sadly take away some if the enjoyment of our holiday. So go to Saariselka but do not stay at this hotel. The rest of our holiday with Santas Lapland was good. I do not take any joy in writing such as sad review.

The two bedroom apartment was very spacious and comfortable and had everything one could wish for. Easily accessible by car and free parking in front of the building. Within walking distance from everything in beautiful Saariselkä village. Delicious breakfast available in the hotel restaurant. Good value for money. Highly recommended.

We were lucky enough to win a week in the Holiday Club in a draw from Inghams Holidays! My lady gave way to a silver-tongued salesperson at an event and gave her email address never believing it would ever be her that wins. Then she nearly deleted the notification email as it was probably a scam. And so we were off to lands well north of the Arctic Circle in the middle of January. Neither of us were skiers so we weren’t sure what to expect. And we are both in our mid-70s so we weren’t going to take many risks. It's a three-hour coach trip from Kittila Airport to Saariselka including a 20-minute rest stop. The first stop in Saariselka was to get issued with heavy overalls, snow boots and mittens which are vital for temperatures of around -25c to -30c which was what we experienced. The hotel is in the centre of town and most places are walkable. Temperatures indoors were pleasant, not hot, but to go outside needed around 20 minutes to put on the kit to go outside. While we were there the sun rose about 11 am and set around 2.30 pm but there was another hour or two of reasonable light. The rooms were basic with twin beds easily pushed together and the continental individual duvets. Bathroom was fine. Lighting in the room was OK but could have been brighter. There’s a TV but the only English programmes were subtitled. The rooms aren’t serviced during the stay but we asked the rep and he organised the cleaners to change towels and empty bins mid-week. We had half-board so breakfast and dinner were buffet service and the food was filling and plentiful. My lady is vegetarian and the rep told the kitchen and they provided a fresh-cooked vegetarian dish for every dinner just for her which was easily added to with the salads and vegetables on the buffet. Dinner was usually soup with two main meat or fish courses plus plentiful bread, vegetables and salads. There was usually just one choice of sweet plus endless hot drinks and an adjacent bar. During the week we were there large numbers of French came and went plus some oriental parties. A couple of times we encountered a rather full house but the turnover of tables is quick and the food doesn’t seem to run out. There is a swimming pool which seems to be for play rather than swimming plus a sauna and a spa but we didn’t try them. There’s no gym. Inghams offered excursions such as husky driving, reindeer farm visits, skiddoos plus there is a regular public bus service to the ski lifts. We found it delightful to walk the signed trails in the hills – a walking pole is useful. The silence in the woods is wonderful. Everyone wants to see the Northern Lights but that is entirely by luck. During our week there were plenty of sightings but the quality was not good. Enough to show you have seen them but not enough to be thrilled. Plenty of green but no reds or blues. I never knew that the vague wisps of white cloud can be seen as green by taking a picture! Amazing. One lesson we learned, don

The family-style accommodation was comfortable to stay in. We used a two-bedroom unit. It featured a kitchen, refrigerator, IH cooker, oven, microwave, sauna, terrace, BBQ equipment, cooking materials, etc. It was nice to live in.

We had a lovely week staying at the Holiday Club. Our room was nice, however a bit of a squeeze for 2 adults & 2 kids. There was not enough storage space to put all of our clothes unfortunately and so we had to leave our clothes in 1 of our large suitcases throughout our stay. The twin beds are pushed together and are VERY uncomfortable because the mattresses are VERY thin & placed on top of a hard divan base! The sofa bed is also VERY uncomfortable and sloped down toward the floor on one side, this meant having to put cushions on the floor incase one of the kids rolled out! The shower room is also very small! The food was good, a good choice of mains at dinner time, unfortunately only one boring desert everyday which was usually a mousse ( chocolate or strawberry) which left the kids disappointed. Come on Holiday Club, you can do better! Also the orange & apple juice wasn’t fresh , a syrup mixed with water at a help yourself machine. The staff were lovely, and it was fantastic having the pool and saunas to use from 2.30 -8.30 each day. Great to get back from a trip out and be able to take the kids for a swim. The pool also has swimming aids you can borrow. The hotel is situated in a great location very close to the forest walks. Only takes 20 mins to walk from the hotel up to the aurora hut.

Accommodation itself was comfortable and clean; customer service wasn’t the friendliest and quality of the food in the restaurants wasn’t great for the price.

We arrived this afternoon around 4pm after an overnight train journey from Helsinki and a 4 hour train ride from Rovaniemi. We checked in and were given our keys and a map of the resort. We were not offered any assistance to get our 4 suitcases to our room so off we went and dragged our luggage through the snow for over 45 minutes searching for our cabin. We then returned to reception to ask for help but all we got was a new map and told good luck! We tried once again….temperature was 15 below zero!!! After another fruitless 45 minutes trudging through the snow we returned to reception where they grudgingly sent for a maintenance guy to show us to the cabin. My husband is 70 and I am 66 and our feet were frozen and we were feeling wuite unwell. A terrible experience!!!!

We stayed over Christmas 2023 and had 2 rooms. They were old and slightly tired but we only needed them for sleeping! It looks like there is a programme to refurbish rooms, which had not made it to our end yet. Beds looked like they would be awful, but were actually really comfy & we all slept well. Walls are a little thin so maybe take ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper. The food was copious in the buffets, lots of British favourites for breakfast - bacon, scrambled eggs, beans, toast, cereal etc alongside some more continental options cold meats, cheese, roasted veg etc all very tasty! Dinner always had an option of sausages, chicken nuggets and chips for the fussier eaters amongst us. Alongside some really tasty grown up options. The pool has really weird opening times 1400-2030 so on a busy schedule it’s hard to fit a swim in. But we managed one and the kids loved it. Be prepared that the rules for the sauna are to be naked (towels allowed) but no swimwear. The hotel on the whole was warm and welcoming after a long day in the snow. There are little drying cupboards in the bathroom for gloves, towels etc. Hair dryer is provided. There is a small shop within reception selling snacks, drinks & a few souvenirs it’s open 24/7 which was handy.

The pool/waterpark was very fun to swim in since it had a waterslide and free equipment to borrow. There was also a jacuzzi and sauna there which was very nice to come back to after a cold walk. We had a very good sized room for a family of four and the good thing was that since it was in the centre, every thing was accessible. The buffet for breakfast was good. It had a variety of options for bread, cheese, pancakes, smoothies, coffee, juices etc. The staff was also very helpful and nice. Outside, since there was a big space belonging to holiday club, we had a very scenic and beautiful walk in the snow and did some taboganning too. The fact that there is a big and warm reception area which you can relax in if you need to go out in a few mins helps. There is also a shop (R Kioski) which is really good.

So the hotel itself is very basic, on first glance it’s very beautiful but on closer inspection you realise that you’ve been taken in by the Beauty of the surrounding area and that you’ve paid all that money for where you are and not where you’re staying. The food is very basic and not much choice but to be fair to them it’s to a reasonable standard. The restaurant is quite small so in busy times you could be standing waiting for a table for a while. The room again is very basic but if I’m honest very grimy and dirty. On entering the room we noticed straight away that there was other peoples rubbish under the beds and dirt across the floor and low down on the walls where it’s obviously been cleaned with a very dirty mop. The towels were very rough and it was just very under-loved and not taken care of. The staff in general were ok but nothing special, not a lot of smiles and friendly faces, apart from the reps but that is their one job! As a base this place is acceptable but nothing special, the area is amazing and beautiful nothing like I’ve ever seen but you don’t have to stay here to experience that.

Our journey to Lapland, Levi on December 6th was marked by disappointment with TUI, from the airport arrival to departure. We opted for TUI 4-night package as it provided us with ample free time, but we expected magic from the the moment we arrived at the airport but the reality fell short. While Sunway travelers spoke of a magical airport experience on arrival with face painting, and elves entertaining the little ones, our introduction was limited to a lone elf distributing chocolates, a less-than-magical beginning. We stayed at the Sirkantähti Hotel, only to discover our accommodation was an inconvenient distance away in a self-catering unit, room 1508 with no WiFi. The annex was cramped, unfit for a family of 3. With two adults, a child, and luggage, navigating the space required acrobatic skills, which involved rolling over beds to reach the bathroom. Storage was very limited, as a result we had to store our empty suitcases in the bathroom! The accommodations decor screamed the early '90s, described as quaint by the rep. This is in need of a serious upgrade. The unit had no WiFi, which was really shocking. The TV was archaic, again I'd imagine the original TV installed when the hotel was built. Thursday's taster sessions and Santa visit went well, aside from the unbelievably short husky ride, a mere 30 seconds, a fact that should be clearly highlighted on your website. Breakfast was subpar, and lunch, while decent, couldn't compensate for the overall disappointment experienced with this hotel. The trip's low point was the early airport departure, a 10:10 am bus for a 3 pm flight, only ten minutes away. Originally scheduled for 1:35 pm, the flight delay felt like being part of a rushed conveyor belt. For the cost, a 12:30 transfer would have sufficed, allowing families an extra half day to explore. Though our reps were pleasant, I will 100% not be recommending TUI to any of my family or friends. And I have plenty looking to go. We had a wonderful holiday ourselves as a family, Levi was stunning. An amazing choice of restaurants and activities. I'm just thankful we only had one half day of planned activities. Highly recommend Levi. Just beware and DO NOT book with TUI and do not book the Sirkantähti Hotel.

I don’t usually write reviews but wanted to address some of the concerns I had when booking this hotel. Bit of a lengthy review so bear with me! Not all about the hotel but about the experience overall. Firstly we booked our Lapland experience, 3 nights B&B with TUI, I cannot comment on any of the other operators that also use the hotel. Once we’d arrived we were taken by coach to get our cold weather gear, you get mittens, socks, boots and a snow suit. All were perfectly adequate and kept us warm, the coldest we had was -15c. We had taken our own boots, coats and extra socks/thermals but you would be fine using theirs, however we just used the snowsuits. I would say to either buy or use their mittens rather than gloves though as these coupled with disposable hand warmers would have been better. Now, on to the hotel. Check in was fine. When booking with TUI I could only book an economy room, however all TUI bookings had been allocated the renovated superior rooms, I wasn’t able to upgrade as the hotel was fully booked but the room was absolutely fine! Nothing special, however it was nicely decorated, warm, comfortable and clean. Yes, there are twin beds and the children sleep on a sofa bed but it did not have a negative impact at all. No problem size wise for two adults and a 9 year old and there was sufficient space to put everything (and I’m not a light packer!). It might be a bit tight if you have two older children. They don’t have room cleaning but you can ask for it if you need and also give out replacement towels, extra pillows - just ask, all the staff were really friendly and helpful. Yes, the hotel is a bit knocked in some places, but only if you go looking for faults! It is a snow resort after all! The reception area was lovely to sit in with a hot drink and warm up! We used the pool daily which was fab after a day in the snow and really warm with a slide, jacuzzi, saunas and steam. You get a card from reception and we walked from the room to the pool in our robes (from the room) which most people did. No slippers though so take some flip flops. Breakfast is very busy, try and go as early as possible (before 8:30am) and find a table before you go to the buffet. Fair amount of choice, nothing to complain about. Just FYI, don’t go to breakfast in your snowsuit, you will be far too hot! Alcohol prices are reasonable for the area, and their version of mulled wine is lovely! There is a small shop selling basics and they also do paninis and hot dogs which were lovely. Theres also a bigger supermarket about 10 mins walk away and some lovely souvenir shops around the resort. We didn’t eat dinner at the hotel but highly recommend Fieno and Ravintola Pirkon Pirtti, both in walking distance. There’s also a couple of takeaways/restaurants right by the hotel. You can rent sledges from reception, however save your money as there were plenty lying around outside. With TUI you get a taster session trying snowmobiles, husky’s and reindeer
