We went because my aunt had had a wonderful experience 6 years ago, and now that we returned (and it was my first time at the hotel), it was horrible. We arrived, and there was a terrible mix-up with the rooms. They were going to place my uncle, who has mobility issues, on a third floor with no elevator! Later, I went to the snack area starving, and the staff scolded me for bringing too much food, even though I hate wasting food. I ate everything and had to refill to show that I was genuinely hungry. On my last night, they served a "paella" that only had one oyster, shrimp, and sausage. Those coffee-like things you see are BONES! I leave very disappointed; I don't think I will return to the hotel. The only good thing was the location in front of the beach. If you want an expensive hotel, with rude and empowered staff, rooms without hand soap, and low-quality food, this is your hotel.

Our trip started out a bit painful with getting a room with not one towel in it and located right beside the loud entertainment. I’m happy to report that we changed rooms the next day after asking and things were so much better. Towels and water were replaced daily. The room was also cleaned daily and we were happy with the service. Food was ok for buffet at an all inclusive. There was always something to eat and we enjoyed the spectacular beach and also the pool. We have enjoyed our time here and would recommend to anyone who wants a very simple and basic room, not a fancy resort but in the end, we were happy to have stayed here and would stay again.

San Andres Island is a wonderful Colombian paradise to visit but unfortunately Decameron in general has lots to do to improve clients experience from maintenence to fulfilling their expectations. We traveled from Canada to celebrate my mom's 80th birthday, the organizer/front desk dropped the ball, didn't send the cake to the restaurant we chose to celebrate, didn't notify ahead of our special celebration. Our room was not adequately chosen for reduce mobility needs eventhough we asked for it. The phone in our room didn't work, the bathroom faucet kept dripping throughout our entire 1 week stay, this didn't seem to bother the Administration. The pool was out of service for at least 4 days without notifying guests ahead or communicating when to expect the work to be finisheed. The WiFi connection is awful, very inconvenient for visitors that don't have local 🇨🇴 phone service. This was our second time here, we had a much better experience the 1st time, 1.5 year ago. The workers at the restaurant were great.

The cleanliness of the hotel is terrible, a lot to improve in the room and common areas. The attendants of the front desk are not prepared to handle the guests issues. The food, specially at the a la carte restaurants is very disappointing. The overall cost x benefit ratio is not worth it.

The food was not good. Most meals the same and they wiuld run out of stuff like FRUIT! And my girlfriend was sick in the room, I asked at the dining area in between meals for some watermelon for her and they said no. RIDICULOUS!

I can't say anything about the resort, but I can assure you that THERE IS NO customer service there!!! We booked our trip to Decameron, Panama, and then, reconsider and decided to go somewhere else. Big Mistake! There is no way to cancel your PAID resevation. No one picks up a phone, and if they do, they keep transferring you or giving you another number to call, which also won't be picked up. You will be waiting forever, until the call disconnects on its own. We have done it numerous times. Don't gamble your money!!!

Food in the buffet is not great quality and making a reservation to the restaurants it’s nearly imposible. The hotel installations are lacking maintenance for example when it rains the ceiling in the cafeteria leaks. There was a dead mouse in one of the corridors and stayed there for a few days. Some staff members are rude. The night shows were just live music and the same band and same songs every night. Definitely not a 4 star hotel and overpriced for what you get

NO A/C but in the rooms...HOT as HELL all the time...food below average.....2 star resort ....old and outdated....everything inclusive is a joke....big bar with 1/2 the chairs....dinner does not start until 8;30pm???? and the lunch well never seen a yellow hamburger before

FACTS ONLY! - Hotel aesthetic is nice - Hotel service is slow - Unable to drink the water in the room; bottled water only available at the front desk and sometimes they run out and you have to wait for someone to deliver it to your room...which could take a while - Website says there are English speaking staff, this is not quite accurate - Buffet food is average and not replenished in a timely manner; if you go at the wrong time you will have to wait for them to replenish - 2 restaurants on-site; the best is Cena (the one inside the hotel) VERY GOOD!!! Some of our party was late, the door was locked and the staff opened the door, questioned us, closed the door and locked it until he received approval...a little rude. Food was fabulous - Booking restaurants is supposed to be online but the link doesn't work. Go have to join a mob and ask staff to book your lunch and/or dinner for you - Internet is not good; disconnects often in the room - Room was nice but not enough towels; bathroom fixtures need repair they were loose and disconnecting - the safe works :) - very looooooooong check-in

Great location. Food ok. However the other Decameron options weren't good. Great location, beautiful beach. Old hotel but comfy room. The worst was the customer service. Staff was in a bad mood and rude at times. Also, we had to wait until 6 pm to check into our room. Manager, please do not reply to our message. We recommend you fix these issues which are mentioned over and over again in reviews online.

Someone recommended this hotel to us so we did follow up that recommendation, unfortunately the reality was the opposite of what we were told. The Islam is absolutely gorgeous but the hotel was so cheap to say it at least, broken tiles, broken roofs the pool was moldy gross, the food less quality compared to a low inn cafeteria. The internet was almost useless. We wouldn’t never recommend this place to anyone

Terrible quality hotel overall. Rooms are cheap, nasty and stinking. Shower has not been cleaned or changed in months. Floors are a mess and crazy slippery. Beds are very poor quality. Sheets are okay but cheap and prison like. Food in the buffet is plentiful, but exceptionally basic and very very boring. Staff are lazy, confrontational and need fundamental training in the service industry. Particularly the reception. Rooms not available until 5pm. Everything about this hotel 2 star at very best. Avoid.

The worst hotel I ever stepped into. The second day of our stay, my wallet was stolen from my wifes purse pretty much in front of her by the cleaning personal. And say cleaning is a big word, there's trash everywhere, I'm taking pictures of the same contact lens container that is been traveling along the hallway, also the same piece of blue plastic that is in the middle of the hallway since we arrived. We are stranded here, with absolutely no cash, no help from the staff, I can't even make an international phone call to cancel the cards. This is an ongoing situation, I'll upload the pictures later of the police report and all the official papers I'm gathering thanks to the Uruguayan consulate, that is providing some help. The wifi connection is non existent, it works at times, there is no chance to pay for a stable connection either. The staff is slow at best, they will never provide you with something. You better stay in your room guarding your belongings while they clean so you can follow every move, and I mean it. I still have a week trapped in this hotel, with no chance to do anything but eat a plenty but boring buffet and drinks. For management is more important to solve the overbooked restaurant than a theft inside the hotel.

An relaxed all inclusive hotel, directly at one of the most beautiful white beaches of the island. Nice modern and spacious room, clean and good bed. Nice pools with animation on one site and quiet pool on the other side. Nice poolbar. Every evening there is entertainment. It's directly at the boulevard. The food is served in buffet style and there are two speciality restaurants. The food and service in the restaurants are not the best. It's a nice hotel, the food good be better, the pool is nice and the location is perfect, the price is a bit high.
