"I recently stayed at this hotel and I couldn't be happier with my choice. The service was excellent, the facilities were top-notch, and Valeria provided a warm and welcoming reception from start to finish. Highly recommend!" Thank you to everyone

Lovely hotel in Santa Cruz - with lovely staff who gave us great recommendations and were so helpful. Breakfast was lovely. We really enjoyed our time in this hotel and would really recommend it for anyone visiting Santa Cruz. Very cute little spot.

I stayed at the Cosmopolitano for three nights and had a wonderful stay. The staff was friendly and helpful and I could always find at least one person (and usually more) who spoke English. The room was very clean, breakfast was delicious, and the hotel was a 5 min walk to the plaza.

The thing that made this hotel so wonderful was the staff. They were kind, attentive and couldn’t do enough for you. Thank you to all of them for such an exceptional stay. I have already recommended this hotel to so many people.

The Cosmopolitano is a smart, I’d even say entertaining, boutique hotel three short blocks from the central square of Santa Cruz, the Plaza 24 de Setiembre. With a pastry café attached, it has a steady stream of younger patrons that reinforces the aura of vitality that the welcoming staff at the reception counter (which doubles as a sort of bar) bring to the lobby space. (Special shout-out to Camila, Lily, Kevin, and — at night — Jorge.) It’s also the area for hotel guests’ morning breakfast, which is included in the room rate. Arriving past midnight, I was sent with apologies to a room that was perfectly adequate but uninspired — and the next morning I was transferred to the room next door, which was more spacious, more elegantly appointed (even with a goatskin rug on the floor!), and featured a screened balcony with seating area facing out onto the street. The one oddity was that the work desk for one’s laptop, while fully equipped with electrical outlets, lacked a chair to sit on. That said, the Wi-Fi was in perfect order — a top criterion for hotel worthiness — and yes, there was hot water in the shower that didn’t keep you waiting. The café tables around the mini-swimming pool in the courtyard, at the base of the stairs to the upper-level rooms, added a nice touch. The nightly rate for these stylishly agreeable accommodations was 600 Bolivianos (US $85).

The poor rating is for the unprofessional customer service from management. I was charged twice and it has been a nightmare getting a refund from this hotel. Location is not safe because of the high crime rate in the city center. Modern hotel district is a better choice.

A cozy 8-room gem with light and airy modern rooms, a plunge pool, and very friendly and helpful staff that is centrally located in Santa Cruz, just 2 blocks from the main square, and is attached to a wonderful coffee shop specializing in chocolates.

Very disappointing, Dishonesty left a black mark. Would never come back. We made a booking mistake on the website, and they were really nice and said they would refund us, and for that reason, we booked a new night at full price. After we left, they changed their mind and decided not to - despite the fact they repeatedly said that everything is ok and we didn't need to worry. The hotel and room facilities are nice but not for that price, you can get much better than this.

Overall this is a great location to stay. 5/5 Breakfast! An excellent and large breakfast 5/5 Location. The location is perfect. Just a few blocks from the main square. 5/5 Main area: the plunge pool in the courtyard is a nice place to sit and dip your feet in. 4/5 The room. Our room had an open glass bathroom - not a big deal since we have been married for years - but important to realize depending on who you are traveling with. The bed is quite hard as well. 4/5 A massage. The massage was good, however, it is done on the room in the your bed. This means you can't get entirely comfortable with your nose in the bed.

This is a lovely hotel near the main square of SC, with a curious layout that is visually effective. The breakfast was the best I have had during my time travelling in South America so far. I was especially appreciate of staff recognising that it was my birthday during my visit, and for offering me a free drink from the bar as well as a box of chocolates as a gift. The rooms are of an excellent size and I enjoyed having a balcony. The area around the pool is very nice, and staff were accommodating in allowing me to use this one morning. It was a shame that due to the open roof, I was unable to use the pool on my final day due to the spectacular storm the night before (although this isn’t a criticism!). The staff also accommodated my ask for a slightly earlier breakfast on my last morning before I checked out for my flight. The bathrooms in the rooms are a good size, although do note that the hot tap needs to run for a while for any hot water to come through, by which point water has already covered most of the bathroom floor, which is effectively a wet room by design anyway. The only real criticism (which may be more of guests than the hotel), is that there was also quite a lot of noise/music coming from the entry foyer/pool area on my last night and into the early hours of the next day. I’m not sure if this was due to guests, staff or visitors. Either way, due to the open air layout of the hotel, sound travels more than usual. This was frustrating when I had to be up early for a flight the next morning, and I had been looking forward to getting good rest before then. This was a slight disappointment at the end of a great stay, but all in all, this doesn’t really take away too much from the time that I had at the hotel. This is a lovely hotel that I would happily use again.

The service was fantastic. Dalma who was at the front desk was super fantastic as was the owner Fernando balderrama palacios. It was extremely clean and modern looking. The location was great as well. Overall it was our best experience in South America over past 6 weeks of traveling. We would both highly recommend it. Most including the owner spoke English very well. If we come back I would stay here. Also talk to the owner for he is well educated and traveled. He can make some great suggestions for food and other places to go in Bolivia.

This eleven room boutique hotel is great and highly recommended. I had a great experience here, it started with a warm welcome, it continued with a nice room, working WiFi and comfortable bed. And it ended with a great breakfast. The staff is extremely helpful!!

Spent two nights at the hotel which is located right in the old town Santa Cruz. Very close to Plaza 24 de Septiembre and Cathedral of Santa Cruz and also several markets where you can get cheap empanadas, cheese bread, local drinks and food and enjoy the atmosphere. The front desk manager was super nice and helpful and the breakfast in the morning is delicious! Rooms are nice and spaces with AC and fast WIFI. We had outdoor shower which was amazing!
