Seattle Gaslight Inn

Not only a great location, but the rooms are well appointed with comfortable beds and Room 106 had a phenomenal view of downtown. The house itself is a stately craftsman that has been really well maintained and appointed. I found this hotel after a short-term air rental went bad with another person staying in the unit. When I called up this inn, Ryan found a room and said come over. I checked in with Joelle who also had a great demeanor. Turns out I will not need to use a short-term rental again as the Seattle Gaslight Inn will now be my go-to location on trips to Seattle.

I had a delightful stay at the Seattle Gaslight Inn! I was there for a work event, and it was conveniently located within walking distance of the school. There are lots of great restaurants around as well as cute shops and stores for basic needs. Ryan and Joelle are wonderful hosts and even accommodated our group by serving breakfast early before we needed to leave each day. We enjoyed relaxing in the living room by the fire in the evenings, and the bed in my room was so comfortable! I will definitely look forward to staying at the Gaslight Inn again!

What a great find! I spent the weekend in Room 105 of this beautiful historic mansion. The bed/bedding was fantastic, slept like a baby which doesn't happen often at hotels. The self-check-in was super easy. Ryan and Joelle were amazing hosts and helped me find my way around the city, including a great walk to a park just down the road. Location was perfect. I will definitely be back the next time I am in Seattle.

When I arrived the parking was awful, and left outside with a bunch of druggies. When I finally came inside the Owner (I believe the husband) was completely disrespectful but the wife was nice. The husband had a superiority complex, and threatened someone else about “smashing his head in with a bat”. It’s disgusting how he can act like that when the person wasn’t causing a problem.

Fabulous B&B!! The place is gorgeous-full of craftsman woodworking and antiques ( comfy new beds). Good breakfast fare and nice walking to restaurants.-shops . We had a fun walk to Pikes Market and rode the subway back. The Innkeepers Ryan -Joelle are very kind and helpful. I only wish I could have stayed longer!!

We were welcomed by Ryan who showed us to our beautiful room. The room was spotlessly clean and we felt at home immediately. We explored the local area, Ryan recommended a local seafood restaurant which did not disappoint. Breakfast was set up for us in the morning and even had a gluten free option. We enjoyed a relaxed breakfast with the other guests and shared our travel stories. We were able to leave our bags for the morning whilst we explored Seattle. Our only complaint is that we couldn’t stay longer …. But we will certainly be back to this delightful, historical home.

We stayed at the Gaslight Inn in 1990 and returned in September 2023; we were not disappointed, as it was still maintained and furnished beautifully. The mattress was comfortable, the towels were fluffy, our room was comfortable and very quiet. Ryan is the perfect host as he was warm and welcoming. We are from the US and we loved that there were so many European guests staying there, and enjoyed chatting with them at breakfast. We enjoyed walking to the Japanese Gardens/Arboretum as well as the Chihuly glass museum. There are wonderful restaurants just a five minute walk away on 15th and took the hosts suggestions and enjoyed Rionne XIII (Italian) and Shop Agora (Greek). Lovely stay.

The Gaslight Inn is exactly what we were looking for: historical, unique and located in a trendy area. It exceeded all our expectations and we felt completely at home the entire time. We stayed in room 103, which is very spacious and nicely decorated. The bed was very comfortable and (other than the jet lag) we had no problems getting a good night’s sleep! It was lovely to meet Ryan, Joelle and their family. If we ever return to Seattle we wouldn’t even consider staying anywhere else!

I can’t thank Joelle and Ryan enough for their hospitality. The Seattle Gaslight Inn is a quaint inn, delightfully restored with amazing wood accents. Joelle and Ryan are warm and friendly and run this charming inn. Every room was quaint; the pool area was lovely. The Capital Hill area was delightful. Just a couple of blocks to walk to and there are lovely shops and restaurants. I took the only room available and while I was hesitant to share a bathroom, it worked out perfect. The room was woodsy and comfortable, complete with a frig, blow dryer and robe. There’s nothing more I could’ve wanted. Ryan even helped me upstairs with my 49 pound luggage, and I was grateful. The shared restroom was updated and I had a great shower. They had plenty of soaps and towels; this couple thought of it all. Breakfast was terrific with fresh fruit, yogurt, croissants, and likable guests to share conversation. I used Lyft to go to Pike’s Market, which was really close. This inn is in the perfect location. My only regret is…wishing I could stay there longer. The Inn was so special.
