luxury travels

I recently stayed at a hotel in Hongdae and unfortunately, my experience was less than satisfactory. While the hotel had some positive aspects, there were several issues that left me disappointed.
Firstly, the hotel's pricing did not align with the overall quality of the establishment. It was quite expensive considering the amenities and services provided. This made me feel that I was paying more than what the hotel was worth.
One major issue I encountered was the misleading information provided by the staff. When I requested a toothbrush and other basic amenities, I was told that they couldn't provide them due to Korean regulations. Initially, I believed their explanation, but later I discovered that another hotel in the same area had no problem offering these amenities. This discrepancy made me question the credibility of the staff and left a negative impression.
Another misleading claim made by the hotel was regarding the availability of breakfast. The hotel claimed to offer breakfast as part of their services, but to my disappointment, there was no breakfast provided during my stay. This false advertisement was disappointing and inconvenient, as I had counted on having a meal before starting my day.
Furthermore, the condition of the elevator was quite unpleasant. It emitted an unpleasant odor, which was definitely not a pleasant experience every time I had to use it. This lack of cleanliness and maintenance reflected poorly on the hotel's overall standards.
In summary, while the hotel had some positive aspects, such as its location in Hongdae, it fell short in several important areas. The pricing was too high for the quality of service provided, and the staff's misleading explanations and false claims regarding amenities and breakfast were disappointing. Additionally, the unpleasant odor in the elevator further contributed to a negative experience. Considering these factors, I would rate this hotel as decent but overpriced, earning a 2 out of 5 stars.
