Grande Albergo
4/543 Reviews
We stayed at Grande Albergo with our 11 month old son for 5 nights in July 2023. The beach town of Sestri Levante is truly a hidden gem and Grande Albergo was the perfect place to stay. The hotel’s location is ideal, just across from the beach and close to everything, including great restaurants. Rooms were very well-cleaned. But what really makes Grande Albergo great is its staff - everyone from the front desk, restaurant and beach staff to the cleaning staff went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. Our son got sick during our trip, and the front desk was very quick to help us get a doctor appointment. Further, on the day we had to leave for the airport, there was a 24-hour train strike across Italy, and again the staff was quick to arrange a driver for us. In addition to being very service-minded, the staff at Grande Albergo are all very kind and made us feel very welcome. Recommend to book beach chairs in advance, as the beach (for good reason) is very popular. We will definitely be back!
Hotel Vis à Vis

We loved Vis-a-Vis. We want to move to Sestri Levante and live permanently in the Vis-a-Vis! Perfect location and view. Upgrade to a double balcony room with both balconies overlooking the bay and town. Really good restaurant and the best bartenders in the world with fabulous views. Do a Basil Martini and change your life! The VaV drive spills into a charming historic neighborhood.
Grand Hotel Villa Balbi

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the exquisite Grand Hotel Villa Balbi in Sestri Levante. It was an experience I will never forget. From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by the stunning location and unparalleled hospitality this luxurious hotel offered. The hotel is in a magnificent historical villa, surrounded by lush gardens and overlooking the spectacular Ligurian Sea. The breathtaking views of the sea and the picturesque town of Sestri Levante made my stay even more memorable. Upon arrival, I was greeted by friendly and professional staff, attentive to my every need throughout my stay. Check-in was smooth and efficient. My room was delightful, with a plush, comfortable bed and a spacious bathroom with a rain shower. The room was immaculately clean, and the housekeeping staff went above and beyond to ensure it remained so during my stay. Breakfast was a lavish spread of freshly baked pastries, local cheeses, and various fruits and cereals, providing the perfect start to my day. I took advantage of the hotel's beautiful outdoor pool area. The pool area featured comfortable loungers, allowing for relaxing and soaking up the Mediterranean sun. The true highlight of my stay, however, was the exceptional service provided by the Grand Hotel Villa Balbi staff. They were always friendly, courteous, and eager to assist, making me feel at home. Their professionalism and attention to detail were commendable and contributed significantly to my overall experience. My stay at the Grand Hotel Villa Balbi in Sestri Levante was an unforgettable experience that exceeded my expectations. The stunning location, luxurious accommodations, and exceptional service create a magical and memorable getaway. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a luxurious and relaxing escape on the Italian Riviera.
Hotel Miramare & Spa

We stayed here for seven nights. The town of Sestri L is fantastic and well placed for visiting the Cinque Terre region. It was actually a decision between this hotel and Hotel Vis a Vis, but we chose the Miramare as it’s on the flat and easy to reach, eg no hills. I’d emailed the hotel beforehand to check if they could provide a good vegan breakfast choice (we stayed B&B). They said no problem, so long as they had three days notice to source suitable food. On this basis we decided to book. Somehow when the booking was made with my vegan request the information did not get passed to the restaurant manager. Luckily there was cereal and soya milk and fresh fruit, but no vegan spread for toast. The restaurant manager was apologetic and after three days he had sourced vegan spread, pastries and biscuits. So my advice would be, if you are vegan, make sure you email ahead again just before you leave home. The room service was excellent, all the housekeeping was superb. We knew there was a charge for the beach, but €30 per day per person was not something we wanted to pay, so we didn’t take up that option or the Spa. Can highly recommend location for travel to the train station to visit Cinque Terre, S.Margherita, Portofino, plus ferry to Porto Venere.
Villa Pozzi
