Grand Mercure Shanghai Century Park

Pudong New International Expo Center/World Expo Area Shanghai|2.86km from Shanghai Institute of Design China Academy of Arts
As per certain reviews, location of hotel is generally convenient but not really near the metro station (as indicated) considered within the Pudong business district. Traffic seems light throughout the day + free parking space provided + retail shops and restaurants surrounding the site made up for whatever disadvantages. First thing you’ll notice (for most people I guess) is the staff’s attitude/ attention standards when checking in, also their speedy response when approaching housekeeping and then the breakfast service in the mornings are all pretty good. An above average breakfast experience means 1) varieties of food 2) comfortable environment 3) overall hygiene, including those of cutleries and their attentiveness to clearing the plates/ tables. Thumbs up for almost every area, not forgetting the tiny gym plus outdoor pool (although water not heated but warm enough during summer) except for the rooms looked “a little tired” (as mentioned earlier by others) due to the age of the building and the only unacceptable two items: pillows are “too soft” and insufficient (selection of) channels on the television! Still cannot understand why (even for during our last outing at one of Hampton, digital media was not available) at this current moment of time, I expect more from a five-star rated operator.

I agree with the details of the hotel group's operation. There is a welcoming aroma as soon as you open the door and enter the hotel. The front desk service is polite and a cup of hot tea welcomes you. It is very small to live in a room with 3 windows. From the floor plan, there should be only one room on the whole floor. The washbasin, toilet and shower in the room are divided into three separate spaces. It is an excellent arrangement for two people. It's strange that there is no toilet paper holder installed in the toilet. There are a lot of places to install it, but it's unclear. The shower faucet should be installed better, but it's not clear if it is shown in the photo. The shower supplies are great and comfortable. They should be used uniformly by the whole group and chosen with care. They are very fragrant and refreshing. And there are 4 pillow options. There is always a suitable one. The breakfast must be praised. It is served until 10 o'clock. I went down at 9:30 and most of the food was still full. The restaurant is not big, but the variety is complete. The demand should not be comparable to that of a US-star hotel, but the supply must be understood by the group. The method, and the service sister was very polite and reminded me to eat more fruits. This was the first time I met her. We left around 10pm and the food plate was still full. I have stayed in this group twice, and the staff's service level is uniform, which shows that there is a certain standard. Overall good.

✨[First glance after entering the room] The room is clean, tidy and very warm 🙋[To the landlord, I want to say] The landlord responded promptly and enthusiastically 📍[As for the convenience of the surrounding area, I would like to say] The entrance of the community is the subway station of the 5-day subway line. There are supermarkets, vegetables, gyms, etc. in the community, which is very convenient. 🛏[I must mention the facilities of the house] The room is fully equipped and everything is available 🏖[The attractions I visited during my stay include] The Bund Disneyland Awesome, awesome, will stay again next time

Parkyard Hotel Shanghai is a member of the ”LIFESTYLE” series of iprefer hotels and resorts. But in reality, booking rooms through Ctrip will enjoy more benefits than through IPREFER. Thanks to the DM Roger for helping me book a room on C TRIP . During stay, the employee Crystal helped me solve many inconvenient problems. Commendable employees.

Thumbs up for Ms. Zhou's service at the front desk. She has a good attitude and takes the initiative to provide convenience for hotel guests. It is very pleasant to walk around the lake in the morning. There are McDonald's, coffee shops, convenience stores in the park, and there are also many restaurants not far away.

Cars cannot pull up to the hotel entrance, which we found inconvenient. The shower room has no curtain nor door. The bathroom floor is soaking wet after every shower. The AC is extremely difficult to figure out, we spent most of the time in freezing temperatures. The hotel looks fancy, but not very practical. Would not return.

I was the best hotel for my family including my baby. I stayed at the family special room for 3 nights that includes free indoor playground and Kerry club membership during the stay which you can enjoy snack throuout the day and small dinner buffet with complimentary alcohol beverages. They also offered good breakfast spread which was not the best but enjoyable. Indoor playground was spacious and contains many types of long slides that my little one rided more than 10 times. Overall they are the best hotel in Shanghai with good location, nice view. This is especially good if you have a plan with your children.
