There did not appear to be enough waiting staff to actually serve the food. The staff were very friendly however looked very stressed and over worked. Which led to us waiting ages for our food. We did not complain because the staff were trying their best so I didn’t want a complain as it was clearly an understaffed establishment.

We stayed here for one night on Friday the 3rd of May. Our room was comfortable and clean but quite dated and needs an update! We had a great night sleep and staff were very friendly, we didn’t eat in the restaurant as we went out to meet friends who we came to visit. We ate breakfast at the hotel in the morning, delicious, hot and lots of variety! The waiter seemed nice but was clearly very rushed off his feet though, seating people, filling up food. There was quite a queue and had to wait for a table, could do with a few more staff members to accommodate for the number of guests they have. Would highly recommend management look into staffing levels but otherwise a great stay and would return.

I had booked into the hotel to go to the football on 27th April however, this was during the World snooker champs which meant the hotel prices were expensive. I arrived early and parked in the carpark and booked the car in through the hotel. My friends and I then spent most of the day at the match and sampling the atmosphere of Sheffield which I can recommend. On returning to the hotel we were met with the prospect of booking in where the young lady was struggling with issuing of keycards, in fact she had to resort to issuing master keys [white]. However on arriving at my room I found the key didn't work and I had to return to reception to find my friend there with a similar issue. The poor overworked lady then escorted us to our rooms to use her staff key to get us in. Having then decided to have a night cap we returned to the bar, to find that the same young lady had to rush back to serve us, but with a very diminished stock as there had been no delivery. Luckily as we sat with the limited drinks we had the young lady was able to make some keycards that she was sure would work. Unfortunately I didn't catch the name of the lady but she needs some serious praise, but as for the hotel when you charge this level you should provide a service that supports the cost

Amazing staff, especially Courtney, who is always extremely helpful and goes above and beyond to ensure your stay is the best it can be. Rooms are always clean and beds normally clean and comfortable. Rooms are being renovated, so hopefully very soon they will be much improved. WiFi can be hit and miss if higher up or at the wrong end of the corridor, but staff are always happy to try and give you free upgrade to Ultimate WiFi to try and resolve this. All staff are friendly and polite and check in is normally friendly and fast. We stay here multiple times every year and always make sure we book in advance as it’s 100% better than the Angel Street one! You really can’t go wrong with this Premier Inn, close to shops and within walking distance of City Centre. 5* to the staff as they do their very best even when there is a shortage of staff members they are under pressure. I’m sure they have to put up with some difficult customers at times but they remain calm, polite and patient. Every member of staff we have met here has been extremely helpful and supportive, friendly and caring. If you treat them with kindness and respect they will appreciate it and do their very best to ensure your stay is as good as possible. Remember manners cost nothing but go along way to make sure you are treated well! Saying that I have seen the odd person being disrespectful and still the staff on duty remained calm and respectful and tried extremely hard to help that resolve and sort the situation out. They all work as a team and this seems to be their strength. Myself and my husband are here many times a year and always receive the best possible care and respect from everyone, even from the staff that haven’t seen us before! Remember to ask NICELY if you need help and it will be given with a smile and a 5* service. There are sometimes not enough staff on duty which puts extreme pressure on the staff that are there but they always do their very best despite being under pressure! Extra Tea, coffee, milk and sugar is always available in reception which is very helpful and good to know.

Tina was amazing from start to finish and made our stay exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble. Extra pillows in the bedroom to make sure I was comfortable and making sure we had everything we needed and more at breakfast which was especially appreciated as I was 8 months pregnant at the time. She was amazing. The hotel was clean and rooms spacious. Will definitely stay again. Thank You
